Drawdy Roofing & Vinyl Siding is committed to providing excellent service to our customers. We regret that [member name] felt that they received anything but good service. We do want to respond to [member name] comment that it took nearly three months and we damaged their new windows and exterior walls. We also want to mention that we had already hired an attorney on 9/6/2013 to file a Materialsman Lien (Doc# 009597, BK: 421, PG:610-610 - Clerk of Dougherty County Clerk in Georgia) due to non-payment and prior to the [member name] hiring an attorney. We also want it known that our attorney video taped [member name] where he stated and this is a direct quote from the video (located on the video at approx 8:15 - 8:20 on the video which we will provide a link at the bottom of this reply if allowed by Angie's List) "I ain't got nothin' to complain about - about the roof - it don't leak - it looks good" To help all understand the time and dates of what occurred: [member name] were given an estimate on July 17th 2013 (documented, we can provide a copy or a link to a drop box account). The install crew was dispatched on July 26, 2013 in which the job was completed within 3 days. While completing the tear-off of the old roof some old pieces of the roof did fall and scratch/damage window trim and exterior wall (This is documented in video we took). The following are our un-edited notes from our office administrator where it will show we made every attempt to satisfy [member name] as well as repair anything that was damaged during the roof replacement. Note: During any home improvement construction there is always a risk of damage, which we or any reputable contractor will fix immediately. 8/13-sched touch up repairs & painting for Sat 8/17 per ricky-ok w/cust. 8/17 appt was canceled due to rain- cust wants us to come 8/20 at 1:30 to do repairs. 8/20- Roger, painter and vinyl crew showed up at 1:30- cust never came or called to cancel appt- called cust @ 2pm & he said it was drizzling & didn’t want us to do any work. 8/21- called cust to resched- he said we could go anytime to do repairs but wants painter to come Sat, 8/24 @ 9 or 10am.8/21- Vance will have to leave at 11am Sat; called cust & lm.8/22-cust said to call 1st of next wk to resched. 8/28-called cust said painter can come sat 8/31 @ 10am-Vance will be out of town-sched for Chris to go. Cust also said he doesn’t want us to do window seals-said he didn’t want us cutting anything around his windows so not to worry about doing that- he said a/c cover is dented and needs to be replaced. Roger to go 8/29 to fix eavedrip. 9/3-Chris said he completed everything sat. 9/5-I called cust to set up time to collect-he said black marks(black marks made by customer because the customer put BLACK paint on areas we were to touch up making it very difficult for us to cover) are bleeding back through the back door that was painted-there is an issue w/ the moulding & a few other things not competed-I asked him for a time we could meet and finish all work-he said to call in the morn to set up time. 9/6-called cust to set up time-he was upset about work that was not completed, again I tried to set up time and get a punchlist-cust said he has given me that everytime we talk-I told cust that his punchlist keeps changing so I just want to be sure-cust said I called him a liar and that IM the liar b/c everyone knows what needs to be done. He told me we better not **** him off or he wont pay and we would just have to sue him. He then told me to call back in a couple hours & he may talk with me then & he hung up. (3hours later)- Called cust back to set up time, also asked for him to email of fax a punchlist so we would have one in writing & be no confusion- cust proceeded to cuss at me and said he would not send a "damn" punchlist & that it was my fault for not writing it down-said hes told me about the moulding, a/c cover, back door & window seals- I again tried to explain we are just trying to make sure we get everything handled & set up time-also cust again started to cuss and then hung up on me. 9/6-file lein on home TODAY, per Ken. 9/16- Turned over file to Alex. Again, it is Drawdy Roofing & Vinyl Siding's hope that we can provide exemplary service to all of our clients. We are deeply sorry that [member name] viewed how we tried to respond to their needs and fix the minor damages during installation as unsatisfactory.
