My mom who is widow and lives by herself hired these dead beats to install a new drain field for her septic system. After two years (last year), her tank had to be pumped. It was pumped three times again this year. THe cost for each service was $175. A plumber friend of hers told her that it sounded like something was wrong with the drain field. She called Brantley four times without a return call. I finally had to call them myself and threaten to come down there in person before I finally got to talk with the owner. Of course, the dead beat would do nothing about it. Out of the kindness of his heart, he offered to come pump the tank for $175. The new guy dug up the drain field and found that it was damaged when they were covering it back up. Three quarters of the drain field had NEVER had water in it because the line was damaged. The guys at A1 Brantley are CROOKS and dead beats. I was out of town when the repair was done correctly. My plan was to do it myself and take the damaged peice sewage and all up to Brantley and throw it on the jerk's desk. DO NOT use these CROOKS. I hope they read this and call me about it. I would love to speak to them about ripping off a widow woman IN PERSON!!!
Description of Work: New drain field installed.

I contacted A-1/Brantley on October 17th to drain my septic tank. After agreeing to have services rendered I immediately went into their office and paid for the service in full ($175). Someone was supposed to drain my tank that afternoon. I was not home. Only a few days later, on the 24th, water backed up into my home. I assumed this was my toilet backing up since my septic tank had supposedly just been emptied. Then on the morning of the 27th when I woke up and walked downstairs, there was water all over the floor and no one had used the toilet all night. I called a friend who is a General Contractor. He said he would come and look at the toilet but couldn?t make it until Friday evening. The tank backed up a third time on Friday evening, the 28th, just before my friend came over to work on the toilet. He called a plumber and explained the situation. The plumber told us to check the septic tank. It was, in fact, overflowing. I called A-1's office at approximately 9 p.m., getting the after hours answering service. The operator assured me that a manager would return my call promptly. I waited about 45 minutes and called again only to be told that I would receive a call in the morning. I tried again the next morning around 10 a.m. and was told again that a manager would call. No one ever returned my calls. During the time that I was waiting for a return phone call on that Friday evening my neighbors, whom I asked to watch for your worker on the 17th, said that the company was only at my residence for approximately 12 minutes. After speaking with my friend the general contractor, he assured me it was not only impossible to drain a tank that quickly but that there is no way it would have backed up again within days had it been properly drained. I tried on several occasions to contact Don James, the owner, and was ignored on all accounts. The office employee told me that he had received my messages and chose not to return my calls. Since no one would return my numerous calls, I had no choice but to contact another business to come out and drain my tank properly. Because it was the weekend, I accrued extra charges ($225). This would not have been necessary if the company would have done the job right the first time.
Description of Work: I needed my septic tank drained. I paid for services that were not rendered and was ignored when trying to contact the owner on multiple occasions.
