When I initially signed up, I requested internet with a faster speed, but after it was installed they told me that they only offered 1 speed. The speed is very slow, I cannot steam many things like Netflix, or utilize my Smart TV. The one good thing about this company is that they do not require a contract, however, they are the only provider to offer internet in my area. Upon their arrival they promised to waive the instillation fee, however it appeared on my first bill. Additionally, the fist appointment was missed, and the second appointment he was two hours late. I will say the provider was very polite and friendly when he did come out, but overall I am very disappointed

Requested transfer of DSL service and discontinuation of telephone service on Monday August 26, 2013. New service to be installed at a newly constructed residential home. The only service requested was that DSL be brought to the house as all internal wiring had been completed by my structured wiring contractor (Harriss Brown - A+++ rating by the way). A conformation number was provided that day and installation was scheduled for the next Wednesday, August 28, 2013. I was informed that someone over the age of 18 needed to be at the residence between the hours of 1pm and 5pm on the scheduled day of service and therefore, I had to take vacation time from my job to ensure someone was at home. No one showed. I called Windstream the next day and they said the job was in fact completed and that the technician must have gotton to it earlier than scheduled. I was out of town and could not verify until Saturday at which time i did verify the job had, in fact not been completed. After a week of back and forth on the phone (which in and of itself was a total nightmare as their phone tree is horrific.......each time {5 or 6 calls} a 40 minute call for 5 minutes of actual one on one conversations); a new install date was scheduled for Saturday September 7, 2013. The technician finally ran the line to the house on this date. All well and fine?? Not hardly! The line was run from the street to my house and was not even burried! It ran across and on top of the ground. Well, so be it; at least i would have DSL service to the house so i could finish my structured wiring project (Brown). Low and behold the DSL line did not work. Longer story short.....another technician just called me from my house. He said the initial job was done completely incorrect and was apalled at the work. He got the DSL up and running and further stated that he would have the line properly burried within the week. From start to, well right up until the finish, he was a complete and total failure.
