Roland explained that the soddered port, if repaired would likely break again and resodderring or replacing might not be the entire issue. I had this verified by independent means so chose to not have repair done at this time. I had another laptop that a popular repair "squad" had quoted a $309-$500 repair/replace price to fix a bent hard drive Roland put in a SSD for a fraction of that and the laptop is working great. When I have the money to have him try to fix the loose lord I will call Roland again without doubt

I have used MY COMPUTER TECH before and was very impressed then. When I bought a new PC and monitor I called Roland to do the setup and transfer of files and programs. He also made sure all related equipment was properly working such as wi-fi, printer, etc. was working properly before he left. He also installed Quickbooks 2016 to upgrade my old Quickbooks program. All systems have been working great. Roland is always quick to respond and I will only use MY COMPUTER TECH when I need computer related services.

Everything proceeded smoothly, and Roland answered every question and provided Windows 10 navigational and user tips. Before he left our house, he made certain my husband and I understood the basics of Windows 10, and we felt confident with the new system. Roland is an expert concerning computers and now is our only computer tech!

I would HIGHLY recommend Roland from My Computer Tech. He set up all our computers, IPADs and our new printer. In addition he connected our IPHONEs to our printer....I could not be happier!

4 1/2 year old laptop was overheating and fan was making a great deal of noise. Contacted Roland yesterday. He set up appointment to come today. He took the laptop apart, cleaned it, added a substance to increase resistance to the heat, and replaced the battery while he had it apart. He also helped me set up a homegroup between my PC and desktop. All was completed in less than an hour. This is about the 4th time I have had Roland come to work on my desktop or laptop. He has also answered some questions for me in between home calls via email. It is so nice to have someone you can trust who will come to your home and is so knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him to others. The fact that he doesn't maintain a storefront allows him to have very reasonable charges.

The hard drive on our desktop crashed on a Thursday night, and I called My Computer Tech on Friday. I spoke with Roland and we discussed my options. He picked up the computer tower on Saturday afternoon, as agreed; we also discussed the type of replacement hard drive and a second hard drive for backups. At my request he checked the cables on our existing hard drive and answered other questions I had about the disk failure. He did check to see if any information could be easily obtained from the failed drive (I had requested this.) Our computer was returned to us on Monday afternoon! We were amazed at the speedy turnaround time. He spent over an hour helping restore our data from my backup, making sure that we had our virus protection running, and insuring we had any software installed that we needed. We are very satisfied with the service provided and would definitely call My Computer Tech again. We still have some things to learn about some of the utilities that were installed and Windows 10, but in time hope we will have that done. Roland did a great job.

Roland brought my computer BACK TO LIFE...for real, it would not even turn on. Now I'm back in business because of Roland and his expertise. If me or anyone else has a problem with our computer or just needs some advice Roland (My Computer Tech) will be the first person I call! I forgot to mention Roland also made my Dell All-in-One run like an iMac (SUPER FAST).

It was great! Great customer service and they took the time to find out what I needed.

Diagnosed my Sony Vaio notebook computer which runs the Windows 8.1 operating system. The computer had been locking up very frequently. He determined that the problem was the hard drive, told me about my alternative solutions and explained them to me. He installed the new solid state hard drive, cloned my old hard drive onto the new hard drive and returned the PC in two days. It is now running better than when it was new. The two hundred dollar charge included the cost of the new solid state hard drive.

d awonderful ! He was quick to fix my problems plus enlightened me on techniques to keep my new lap top well tuned. Plus he made me comfortable in the asking him many technical questions from this non technical person. I would definitely call him out whenever we need any computer attention.

Roland cleaned my computer. He was able to do this successfully without losing any of my files. He was very prompt and professional as always. I have used him before and will do so again.

It went great! Roland was wonderful. He arrived on time, he fixed my laptop and did all that he said he would do in about an hour's time. His service was well worth the price and he makes house calls, which is totally convenient. Even though he found right away that the problem was just some memory that was loose, I had him take the machine and clean it, wipe the drive, and reinstall the software. I had it back the next day working great! He even brought it back on a Sunday so my son could get his homework turned in on time. Unfortunately, when I tried to reach him again for some help with some of the utilities he installed on our PC, he never responded.

He was WONDERFUL!! He came when he said he would, fixed the problem easily and quickly, and then did a few extra things because I still had "time". He was great and I would not hesitate to use him again.

I called Roland on Friday to ask for a house-call to repair my computer/printer. He said he would be over the next day. I explained that wouldn't be home on Saturday so an appointment was made for the following Monday. He arrived on time and was very professional and friendly. The problems we had been experiencing and our efforts to correct those problems were explained to Roland. He went quickly to work and in about an hour he identified the problem and had it repaired. My printer and computer now work as good as new and I wish I had called MY COMPUTER TECH sooner rather than spending hours trying to fix it ourselves.

Received a screen stating our desktop computer was frozen. I was certain it was a scam of some type, but had no idea how to get rid of it. The screen told us we had to send money to have the PC unfrozen and also stated the FBI had determined we had done something illegal with our computer (which we had not). I immediately called Roland Milligan. He was in the middle of another service visit, but told me to turn the computer off, and he would come as soon as he could. He did come to our house and confirmed the PC was infected with malware. He cleaned the PC. He recommended that we change our virus protection to Kaspersky instead of the ones we were using. Upon our request he installed Kaspersky on both our desktop and laptop. He also set up the print function on my laptop so it would print directly to our wireless printer. I had been doing all printing from the desktop even when the file was on my laptop. It has been over 3 months, and at this point the new virus protection has stopped another instance of this malware. We called Roland because he had helped us in July 2013 with an equipment connection problem. We have been extremely pleased with his promptness, his knowledge, professionalism, and price. It is so convenient to have him come to the house versus taking hardware to a store front. His prices are very reasonable, and he has our complete trust.

Roland Milligan the owner of MY COMPUTER TECH made two trips to my home after I had taken my computer to a retailer for repair. After they they kept it nearly two weeks and could not get it fixed I called MY COMPUTER TECH from Angies list. He picked up my old computer and after determining it was to costly to repair, he came back and set up my new computer and transferred my old data to my new hard drive. He also set up my new wireless printer and my ipad to the new wireless printer. Roland is very knowledgable and professional. He came when he promised and his fee was very reasonable. He is the only Computer Tech I use in the future.

We had an issue with our laptop possibly being compromised. Roland was able to get to us within 24 hours. He was very professional, polite and knowledgeable. He explained the various processes he would perform so that I could easily understand. Best of all I feel that, although he was thorough, he was also mindful of the time spent on the repair. I will be using Roland again. I would recommend him to anyone in need of a knowledgeable, competitively priced computer repair service.

My PC would not start. I called Roland Milligan in the afternoon and explained what I was experiencing. He told me he would be happy to come to the house and check my PC, but he would not be able to make it the same day as he was on another job. We scheduled an appointment for early the next afternoon. He arrived promptly the next day. He quickly resolved the problem I was having. He then proceeded to do a thorough checkup of my system to ensure it was running efficiently. He was very good at explaining everything he was doing, and made sure I agreed to which applications were to be removed and/or turned off at startup. Before leaving he assured me that if I had another problem to be sure to call him. If the PC failed to start again, he would apply the $35.00 diagnostic fee to the next visit. He had tested the start up several times prior to leaving so believe it is unlikely I will have the problem again.

Well I called Roland as a result of the other Angie's list reviews. He was the second person that I called. For some reason I didn't like the sound of the first guy and he wasn't going to be able to come to my house as it was listed that that was something that his company did...so that was a no go for me. I called and he was very nice over the phone and agreed to come out in a few hours later to look at my laptop and at the time of the call he also let me know that he might have to take it...(i didn't want that to happen but I really appreciated his honesty and this prepared me just in case) well unfortunately do to the nature of the problem he did have to take it but promised to return it in 24 hours! My computer tech did exactly as he said :-) fixed my computer, brought it back in less then 24 hours and charges LESS then he orginally had stated...his pricing is extremely reasonable. Overall I was very happy with everything! I would also like to add that I amvery nervous and am skecpital about who is going to have access to my whole life---MY COMPUTER...but Roland is very trustworthy and I am not nor was I worried about my information getting into the wrong hands...this is very important to me!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH MY COMPUTER TECH, ROLAND!! I would recommend him to anyone and have already told one of my friends!

Roland Milligan is AWESOME! I usually hire the Geek Squad to stop by my house and set up my wireless (computer & printer). It takes the Geek Squad several days/weeks to schedule and deliver this service and it costs a lot. This time, I called Roland. He responded to my Angie request for information within 15 minutes. He came by the house that evening and set up the wireless in less than an hour. He arrived promptly. He was professional. He is knowledgeable. And, his quoted price was the actual price paid. The wireless had been set up twice before by the Geek Squad, they were always late arriving, it took them more than two hours each time, and both times the wireless went down after one year. Another IT service provider attempted to set up the wireless (before Roland) and he messed up the router. Even though the router had to be reconfigured and AT&T had to be called for new password set-up, it still took Roland less than one hour to successfully complete the set-up. Because he had time to spare, Roland ran several checks on the computer and it runs faster than before. No charge for this tune-up. Roland will be back in a couple of months to set up my virus protection and he is now on my speed dial. I've found a reliable and dependable computer guy! This was my very first use for Angie's List and I could not be happier. Thank you, Roland!

I have used Roland's company for years and will continue to do so. He always returns my calls within a short amount of time. He's always been helpful, even when I'm out of town. He is very knowledgeable and always gets my computer up and running like it's supposed to be. He built my computer to the specifications he knew I needed. Roland will always be My Computer Tech!

Hard drive Warning, Wednesday morning, Didn't know what to do. Got all up tight, then that night, Before I got into a stew... Went to Angie's List, I didn't get...frustrated, Angie's List came to the rescue. I found MCT, as fast as could be, And read a great review! Now my PC's a-revvin', I'm in cyberspace heaven, Angie's List, as always, came through.
