After a routine maintenance check in January, my unit became loud and stopped heating. They replaced the thermostat but didn’t wait to ensure the problem was fixed. When the house failed to warm, another tech found a major restriction in the system that was not there on the m-check. We were told this was a coincident. A failed attempt was made to clear the restriction ultimately requiring a costly system replacement. Installation of a new system started 2 days later, after a full day of work we were told the new control board was bad. The following day the control board was replaced but the system was still not working. Eventually they replaced the new outside unit and we finally were able to heat the house. In May, the AC stopped working. We had our new HVAC company come out who found multiple installations errors made by Edwards. Errors including faulty placement of drainage lines and evaporating coils installed upside down causing water to splash into the air duct.
Description of Work: A routine maintenance check of aperfectly functioning system turned into having to replace the whole system. The system we were told was "bad out of the box" and also had to be replace. After having problems with the AC with the new system Edwards installed we had a different HVAC company come out who found major errors with the installation. Not only did we have to pay for Edwards to install the new system, then pay for out new company to fix their incompetent work but we have lost multiple days of work. That does not include the week of running our system on emergency heat in January while Edwards was doing a very poor job of installing and reinstalling a heat pump.

They have come out 4 times and they have been excellent. They have been catching preventative things that could bring on bigger issues and we would highly recommend them as well.

Description of Work: I came home from a funeral late last night and found I had no air. Went on Angie's List this morning and made a call to Edwards, they actually answered the phone, and I had a guy named David here within three hours. What is so significant is that it had been 105 degrees yesterday. David was very professional and had me "cool" very shortly after he arrived. It was a Condenser and needed Freon. I was very pleased with everything and was so thankful that we are now cool. Thanks! Diane Plott

Our is new home only 2 years old. Edward's Heating was the one who installed AC system as part of Builder Team.for last 2-3 days AC was not working at times. So I called two other companies one was running special of 39.99 for Tune up and stated they will take care of the problem also.But I went with Edward's as I felt they have serviced me in past and they have been good, though Edward's rejected to match price but I took thier offer of Yearly maintaince so it cam out to be 70 dollras.But I am very happy with the service. David came in and told me not to worry. He spent his time at ease and took care of eveything.He told me every thing is fine just needed more coolent. He even took care of the sound I was getting. No upselling of any thing , some companies offer low price but I have experienced they come up with different issues to et fixed like you get at Car service shop. David has been to my house 3 times after this to look at other potentila problem. he has been very gehlpful. He found the problem now we are trying to work out the price on labor as We had reported the problme initially withing the warranty period. I am sure he and Edward will consider all the factors and take care of me. I will keep updating accordingly.

I got two estimates for the job and Edwards was by for the best on price. They showed up when they said they would and worked throughout the day without any breaks until the job was done. The installers were GREAT, clean and professional. A great experience from start to finish including a follow up visit from the owner. And oh yea, he is taking care of registering the system for me with Carrier. Also the installers left the basement cleaner than when they got there. I'm so used to poor workmanship anymore but I was really blown away by this company. They really do care.

Our previous AC needed replacement. It actually stopped working July 3rd - but a tech was able to coax it back for until we could get the replacement chosen and install. The first thing I did was narrow the field down to Carrier and Trane equipment. Next I got contractor names and recommendations from several sources. At that point I got four different bids. The proposal from Dustin made the most sense. He was not pushy like a used car salesperson. He explained the differences in equipment options. The installation went exactly as he said. I do not expect problems, but they has followed up to ask how the system is working. I feel confident if something needs adjusting or an issue develops, Edwards will make it right.
Description of Work: Replaced existing AC and furnace for first floor. (Furnace in attic as home is on a slab.) Modify ducting for second floor to make temperatures more uniform from room to room.

The technician who came over was a very nice man and he knows what he s doing. The problem is that I was way over charged for an estimate on replacing a part in my unit. I don t feel the management is being completely honest with me. I would definitely not recommend them to anyone. I will look for someone else to do the job.
Description of Work: I have a 2 ton air conditioning unit in my 1,400 square feet house. I had them come over because I needed an estimate on replacing a coil in my unit. They estimated the replacing of the coil at $600 while the estimate cost me $200.

I believe there is a misunderstanding in this report. Robert's brother Howard continues to be one of my best customers! We provide maintenance on this home and have a fantastic relationship. True, they did indeed have a leak on an indoor coil, but the reason the member was charged at the time of inspection was to recharge the system to get the home comfortable until we could return, NOT for the estimate. When the subsequent replacement coil was installed, I took into consideration the amount of money the member's had spent with us already and only charged $405 for the replacement coil. I am sorry if the memberfelt I was being dishonest (I am the management by the way...) but the coil was leaking signifigantly and needed to be replaced. I only wish I was made aware ofthe member's complaint sooner. I know I would not be happy with a response three years later!! My only explanation...I was not aware of any frustration until now.
