I always use them. Like when I had an infestation of carpenter ants coming into my house and another time yellow jackets. He put traps up in the ceiling. He went all around the house and had some sort of spray sealant stuff and he sealed up every opening he could find. Then by the time he found that big opening, this included putting a, actually cutting a piece of wood to fit inside. You know you got those, what do you call them, vents? They go into spaces that are not heated or air conditioned. It's like a, it to keep it from getting too wet under there, I guess. Usually they've got little bars on them plus some kind of hardware cloth or something. A mesh of some sort. Well something had broken out the mesh and part of one of those things. I knew it probably had to be mice getting in and out. The mice were bad enough but I could put mouse bars up in the ceiling and that usually took care of them. When I saw, actually saw the rat. The guy said, "Are you sure it wasn't just a mouse?". I said, Believe me, that thing was nearly as big as one of my cats. I had a good look at it. It was definitely a rat.". He came and set traps up in the ceiling to catch that. The thing is we don't know exactly what happened. When he blocked the hole that he found, the one in the mesh. probably wasn't big enough for the rat to get in. He blocked that to keep the mice from getting in and out. The one up in the wall, the bigger hole, is probably where the rat came in. He said he probably comes and goes in here. She probably sleeps in here and he goes outside to hunt for food. I thought, I do wonder what he could eat. But anyway. I simultaneously had a rat snake living up in the ceiling or in the walls. Which wasn't my idea because I'm a lot less afraid of mice and rat than I am of snakes. I'm terrified of snakes. He comes in through the siding. He can come up, they can climb the walls. It is like actually watch them walk up a wall because they do not have any feet of course. But they just glide right on up the wall and go up under the cedar siding and go inside the wall. I have never been able to do much about that because if they can not see them then they can not catch them. The only time I have had any luck was when I was outside in the backyard and looked up at the back porch and thought what is that over that door. It looked like leaves or something. It was a humongous snake. The way it had pushed out, it had gotten out of the siding boards right above the door. It had come out and wrapped around the light fixture on the wall. It was apparently taking a snooze in the sunlight. He was so perfect. I in fact did use him again when I saw the carpenter ants climbing up here. I saw them marching carrying up the eggs going up under the siding. I know they were making a nest up in the walls.
Description of Work: They got rid of the rat that got in through a vent hole.

I've used them 2 or 3 times. For example the night I came home and found my room was full of yellow jackets. What was funny was that they all looked like they were dead. They were just laying all over the bed, furniture, the carpet. I was thinking where did they all come from. How am I going to get them. I will suck them up into the vacuum cleaner. When I started that thing up, I don't know if it was the vibration or the noise but they all came alive again. Here is my room with a room full of zooming around yellow jackets. I managed to get out of there without being stung, But I had to go to the grocery store and buy a bomb thing to set off in there. Then I had to work out how fast I could open that door and put that thing in there and sit it on the chair so it would not ruin the carpet. Move the chair in there, set it on it and get back out without being stung. I think it stung my roommate I had at the time. The bomb killed them but the next day, I was looking for someone to find out where they were getting in. I had to go to work and my roommate found out where they were getting in. A tiny hole up under the windowsill. It was right up against the wood. It was so tiny that she plugged it with a toothpick. She took a toothpick and broke it in half and plugged that hole. We found where they were getting in from the outside at was a knothole in the siding. We called Culp Pest control, they came over and put some stuff in there to kill those things inside the wall and filled it up. That's my go to person for pest control. I saw the carpenter ants climbing up here. I saw them marching carrying up the eggs going up under the siding. I know they were making a nest up in the walls or something. I found and saw they were climbing up the siding so I went right in and called him. He was very thorough. He said, When can you do it? I said, I got this day and this day and this date free and he said, okay how about such and such time on this date. He was here and he went around the interior of the house and treated everything. I asked him about if my cats would be okay with this stuff and he said absolutely. No harm to them at all and he was correct. They didn't sustain any injuries from it. I don't remember what he charged me but I remember I wasn't displeased about it. He was very good. He came when I need him.
Description of Work: They treated for carpenter ants.
