New Homeowner Nightmare. This company was responsible for the install of my HVAC in my new home. In less than 4 weeks I have been without air for several days, In different occasions while waiting for repairs on the unit they installed. The company failed to check the unit after install. If they had they would have found a horrible leak. In addition to negligent work, incompatible parts were ordered and incorrectly installed. Several maintenance crews have been dispatched to resolve a different problem with the system every time. Last night the crew spent 6 hours installing the wrong coils. Tonight a different crew came to fix the thermostat that was knocked out by the crew from last night just to find out almost 5 hours later that the unit has been leaking water in my attic. Apparently my horizontal unit need a different coil. I haven’t seen the owner or heard from the owner of the company even after I was told he would come fix this unit himself. Its been a nightmare. I should be enjoying my new home but instead I’m enjoying the sauna in the southern heat. To add pain to misery, one crew forgot their shop vacuum and needed to use my vacuum to clean up all the fiberglass insulation that was displaced while they worked on the unit in my attic. They didn’t empty the canister. My brand new carpets and rugs......totally damaged and covered in red Georgia clay. Looks like I will spend the next few days cleaning carpets and shopping for a new vacuum. All of this should have been resolved before I closed on my home. I also blame the contractor that hired ALWAYS COOL, LLC for hiring them to work on my home. They could not have check this unit after install because they never even changed the filter. Customer No-Service exemplified. The worst service of any HVAC company I have worked with. Summer Breeze was sent out to our home by Old Republic to address cooling issues with our Air Conditioner. Upon their initial check, they said it was not blowing sufficient, and they did they said it was because my filter was dirty, and we had dirty vents. I told them I would get the vents cleaned (as this was home we must had purchased), and to replace my filter. He informed me that home warranty companies do not cover filters. I told him that was not the case with my company, as my policy specifically covers replaceable filters. He told me I did not know what I was talking about. So, I had him wait why I showed him my printed policy, which he apparently did not trust, and we waited while he conversed with the warranty company, who informed him it is covered. They eventually replaced the filter. He then informed us that our Ecobee 4 was also a problem, as in his words, “those devices don’t work”. He said that we should have a regular old-fashioned device re-installed in the house, because this will cause problems for the house to be cooled. The filter replacement did not fix the cooling issues, so we hired a company to clean the vents. This also did not fix the issue. We called Old Republic again, and they sent out the same company to address our issues, where we had to again hear how our Ecobee 4 was garbage. They made multiple visits under this work order, as they found multiple issues, unrelated to the supposed poor Ecobee 4. They replaced the motor, and fan, and pumped additional coolant in the system, because the pressure was low. It seemed to be working for about 3 months, then it was not keeping the house cool in the late afternoons here in Atlanta’s summer. We called Old Republic again, and they tried to send out Summer Breeze, but they did not respond to their calls, and it took them 2 weeks to get another company to come out. When they came out, they said that the issue, was the unit was dirty inside, because the filter had not been placed back in the unit, it was sitting next to the unit under the house. This is not an issue that Old Republic will cover, as it is maintenance, or poor workmanship. I called Old Republic immediately, since they are the only people, I have had under my house taking care of this issue. It took them over a month to get ahold of anyone form Summer Breeze, who denied everything, saying they did no work requiring the filter’s removal, and that someone else must have removed it. On the last day they were there replacing the motor/fan they had informed my wife that they must remove the filter before replacing the motor and fan because they didn’t want to get it dirty and then we would have to replace it early. So, they removed it, and just didn’t go back under the house and replace it back in the unit when they finished the rest of the work. I called Summer Breeze, and they told me that we had told their rep that we had another company do work between these times and that this other company must have removed the filter. But this is a fabrication, a lie, we never said this because it did not happen. Matt from Summer Breeze then informed me he would talk with the service guys and get back to me the following day. I waited three weeks, and called again, and got Matt, who acted like it was the first time we spoke, and tried to go down the same attack, after 10-15 minutes he said he needed to speak to his service guy and put me on hold for over 45 minutes. This was a little after 5PM that he put me on hold, and after waiting that additional 45 minutes on hold, I finally hung-up realizing he was not coming back. I tried to call the company again, and they were closed. So he put a customer on hold and left for the day. Customer No-Service exemplified. I called back the next day and spoke to Lydia (sp). And she told me she knew nothing about this and tried to tell me the same false information about someone else doing work on my unit and that there was nothing that their service team did that would have required removal of the filter. She said she needed to speak with Matt and would return my call within 30 minutes. 2 days later and no call. No surprise. Cost was mostly paid by Home Warranty company.
