I asked for quotes to seal or repase the driveway. When they arrived they said they had excess material from another job and could to for only $2000. He said it would seal all but two patches that I could complete easily. He started and I stopped him at it was not sealing cracks. he said it would expand when dry and fill the cracks. It did not fill them. Before I gave his son the check I asked if they could finish the job of patching for the $2000. He said yes. Several days later the father called and said they had excess material for the patch. I said his son committed to doing it free. He asked if I was going to take the word of a boy!, He got mad and hung up.

Ridiculously and absurdly horrible work and the owner Jerry is very scary to be around he’s like a wildcard you can’t trust that he’s not going to lose his temper and call you every name in the book!!!!Very unstable and unreliable it’s been a year and he never finished a very bad job that his son started and never finished!!!!! He’s an inappropriate and a very unstable man!!!!

Was not a good experience. Work was of very low quality and company would not stand behind it. I travel for business, and work was started while I was present and completed in my absence. The work performed while present was well done, but that performed in my absence was horrific. I paid in good faith without seeing the completed job and when I returned from travel found a very disappointing product. The owner said the only way he could correct it was to resurface the entire driveway for another $4,500, which I foolishly agreed to but he later refused to honor the agreement. In addition, the owner is very hot tempered and unprofessional. Never before have I been screamed at by someone I hired to perform a service. I have given him multiple opportunities to correct to no avail and will now have to pursue with legal action. Unfortunate.

They showed up when they said they would. Performed the job in a very timely fashion, and were very careful about protecting surrounding areas as they worked. Not only did they finish the job, they provided "over and above" on their clean-up to help keep they neighbors happy. They also showed up again the next day to verify that all was well and I was satisfied with the job they performed.

I was very pleased with the work. Out of all the contractors I contacted, they are the only ones who came out and gave me an estimate. They showed up on time and honored the estimate they gave. I am very happy.

A-1 Asphalt Paving Company showed up on time and started working as advertised. A-1 resurfaced my existing driveway and also removed and replaced a large section that was damaged, which my driveway is over 400 ft in length. I would highly recommend A-1 Asphalt Paving, and would definitely use this company in the future.

Jerry seemed nice, but this was a borderline scam. I was promised 2-3 inches of new blacktop. I got less than 1/2 inch in many places so that has crumbled and is washing away after only one year. The problem is - how is a homeowner supposed to know how thick the new asphalt is until its too late? You cant. They know that. $6000 down the drain. Don't make my mistake. Go with a more reputable company and get multiple estimates and a written warranty

A long time friend of mine who has a business in Acworth found out I had hired A1 to pave my driveway, after the fact. He said I'd be sorry, "They're crooks". He was right. My wife and I are in our 70's. Our children are ready to call out the calvary. The job they did looks like a half finished highway project.

They did a wonderful job. We asked for a flat pad to park our RV in addition to the driveway. It was level and perfect.

We've since learned that we way over paid for our driveway. I should have been suspicious. He called me that morning and wanted me to have my husband to take out cash to pay him after I had already told him we'd be paying via check. I reminded him of this. Then when he arrived his crew was grading the driveway and he insisted one of them get off the bobcat and let him grade because he was in a hurry to get me check and take it to the bank before it closed. So they rushed through completing my driveway and only spread about $50 worth of gravel on it. So thin that within in two months grass was growing up through the gravels and some of the grading wasn't done well so it let ruts in areas on my driveway. Worst of all he has called me several times asking if I want him to come and put a black top finish on it and my expense. I informed him the last time he called about my problems and he said well there's no warranty for tar & chip driveways.

Crew showed up as promised and completed work more quickly than anticipated. Dealt with problem of roots under original driveway. Nice crew. Very professional job!

He used his big tandum dump truck to haul in the stones over my driveway . He used his skid steer loader to grade the driveway level and smooth. He used his tare truck to spray the tare over the stones over the driveway.

It went really well, He showed up for the estiment on time and did the driveway when he said he would. He did a really good job.. .

A1 installed my driveway about 3 years ago, and since I was very satisfied with the original job, when it was time to seal it I decided to use them again. They were very professional, did an excellent job, and did not leave a mess. I've used A1 Asphalt twice now, and should I need any work in the future, I will be using them again.
