Welcome to Hero Air, LLC! Hero Air is a locally owned and operated family HVAC business that exists for the sole purpose of providing comfort solutions to all of our customers throughout the metro Tampa bay region. Our slogan is "Heroes to the Rescue!" Our phones are answered 24 hours a day for the convenience of our customers. We accept cash, check and all major credit cards. We are open 7 days a week. Hero has approximately 5 employees currently. All of our service technicians are employees and work directly for Hero Air.

They were good. They were ok. No problems. They came on time. I didn't have any problems with them. I thought they did a good job. They came right away. No problem with that. They came and explained different things, and what the problem was. Got everything, and took care of it before they left. I don't know if it was one or two that came. They didn't make a mess. The workers seemed to know what they were doing. They explained it all.
Description of Work: I had a little problem with the air, and they came and did something to it.

The service was okay. It went pretty well. We ended up paying more for some other service that I was not happy with, but my husband thought it was necessary. I personally was not impressed. He was tardy, but he called so that was fine. He notified us of where he was and all of that. He was professional.
Description of Work: We purchased a $39 Big Deal from Hero Air LLC and it was for an 18-point air conditioning tune-up.

I purchased three of them actually. It didn't work out too well. I had two Tranes and a Carrier and the technicians didn't seem too familiar with the Trane equipment. They came out and tried to mess with it and they caused it (inaudible) and then they couldn't fix it and the Trane people wouldn't tell them how to fix it when they called their service department. They were here about a half a day. They left and went to a Trane office and eventually got the information they needed but when they came back all they did was turn the error code off, they never serviced those two. In the mean time, they got so tied up in that, they didn't finish the job on the other equipment, there's leafs all in it and they usually open them up and clean them out and such. When they came back they must have forgot to get to that part of it. So no it wasn't that great of a deal.

Our A/C unit wouldn't stay running last evening. We weren't happy with a previous repair company and I checked Angie's List. I found several companies with good ratings, but most of them were several miles away. I found Hero Air in Zephyrhills, which is just a few miles away. I called last evening to see if I could get an appointment for repair. I was thrilled to get a person that answered the phone after hours, not a machine! I asked when a repairman could come out to look at our unit. I was given an appointment the next morning. That was great! Also payment was set up through link to pay by credit card so you don't have to give our your credit card information to anyone. Thank you Hero Air. Joyce Thayer

Description of Work: The technician was prompt and courteous, but I'm really not sure if his fees were within reason for the services performed. I had no prior experience with air conditioning maintenance fees. My unit seemed to be working fine before over $800 total service work was done. I was called 4 times in 3 days to make full payment.

[Member Name Removed] We performed an air conditioning inspection on this customer's unit. This customer was concerned with having a fairly new unit that was having a constant leaking issue. We offered this customer an AC leak sealant service along with a refrigerant recharge service. The customer agreed to our price and we performed the services to completion. We had two men working on this customer's job and spent approximately 3 1/2 hours taking care of this customer's issues. We spent a lot of time answering numerous questions this customer had while we worked under his direct supervision. After this customer had the opportunity to check a "wholesale price" for AC sealant on Amazon, he called into the office and said that if he did not get a reduction on the A/C sealant service he was going to write us a bad review on Angie's list. Apparently, this customer is true to his word. We tried to get the customer to compare "apples to apples". He refused to answer one simple question "How much would Amazon charge to come out to your home and perform an AC sealant service?" Our company is not an online wholesale distributor of any kind of retail product. It is not fair to compare our "service" to the "wholesale cost" of a particular item. Our customers must understand that Hero is NOT a wholesale supplier or retailer of HVAC parts, materials or supplies. Hero Is a licensed provider of HVAC SERVICES. Hero is NOT a website store or a retail establishment of any kind. Among the differences in a retail establishment (example: Amazon) and a service provider (Hero), is that a retail establishment can generally provide you "materials" at a fraction of the cost compared to a "service provider". Please understand that you are paying Hero for providing a complete "service" and NOT for "parts, materials or supplies" to be mailed or given to you. By using Hero, you are expecting Hero to provide you with licensed HVAC services. Hero’s service prices are “flat rate” and are NOT contingent on the amount of time it takes the technician to perform the services, nor are service prices contingent on any costs of parts, materials or supplies. Hero’s service prices are set by Hero with an understanding of our CODB - Cost of Doing Business. We even offered this customer the opportunity to take advantage of us returning to his home and re-performing the sealant service and addition to re-balancing the charge again if necessary free of charge. The customer ignored our attempts to make him happy. We regret that this customer is not happy with the price he paid for our provided services, however our "services" should not be compared to an online realtor's price for a "wholesale part".

I was contacted almost immediately after I made the purchase. We scheduled it a few days later. They missed the appointment due to rain. The second day it was rescheduled on Good Friday. They rescheduled due to humidity. The third day, they didn't come, but they called and said he was running behind. Two hours after that, I hadn't heard anything from them. I called them back around 7 o'clock. He called me back eventually, and said he could come around 8 o'clock which was too late for me. He suggested I request a refund from Angie's List.

Thank you for your feedback concerning our services. We truly do appreciate all feedback whether positive or negative. Our records indicate that the inspection you requested was performed to completion. It turns out that our technician found your unit in a state of disrepair. Our technician found your unit was empty of any refrigerant indicating a possible leak in your system. You declined to have to have any further services performed. Because we always want to make sure that our customers are satisfied with our services, our owner Leslie, placed a call to you for what we called a "happy check". During this "happy check" call, you indicated to her that you were not satisfied with the inspection for unspecified reasons. When I was informed that you were not happy with our services, I immediately contacted and offered you a free reinspection in which I would personally come out to reinspect the unit, go over the unit with you, and answer any questions you might have free of charge. We agreed on a time that would be sometime after 3:00 to meet up. Unfortually we mutually agreed to reset the inspection on the account of rain in the area. We did not want to open your system in a high moisture environment if not necessary. We set up another appointment for the following for sometime after 4:30 so you would not have to rush home from work or miss any work. Our office contacted sometime on the evening of our appointment and once again "dodging raindrops" but that we would be coming at some point in the evening. I personally called you at 7:07 that evening to let you know I was on my way to your residence. During the call you made it clear to me that you were not happy because you beloved the appointment was at "4:30" versus sometime after 4:30. I explained to you that we did not do "at" appointments rather we work in time frames. I explained to you that it was not in either of our benefits to argue about if it was "at" or "after" 4:30. I simply restated my commitment to making her happy by meeting with her and performing a free reinspection and consultation. Because the customer seemed extremely irritated and upset that I explained that if her aggravation in this matter was simply a "pretext" to obtain from Angie's list and there was simply no way she was willing to work with us, that I was ok that she would simply admit the same. Saving us both the aggravation and wasting time. You informed me that if all possible that you would simply appreciate a refund versus my attempts at a reinspection. I told you that I would not be opposed to Angie's list providing you a refund for the provided service but that you would have to contact Angie's list to seek any refund. I did call Angie's list on your behalf and they instructed me to have you contact hem. We truly regret when any customer is not satisfied with our services. That if you change your mind and would like for me to come out and personally reinspection your unit. I would be happy to do so. Feel free to call our office anytime. Thank you again!

Description of Work: Provided inspection and acid wash. I'm selling the house they worked on and it is an old ac system so they recommended replacing a part -capacitor- so system has more life. That's all I know. Great job as far as I know.

AC tech arrived on time. He had an excellent attitude and was a very hard worker. Made sure everything was working correctly and took his time to check out the entire AC unit. When he found parts that were corroded, he showed them to me and replace those parts. I would highly recommend this company.
