bathtub refinishing
+ -1 moreI called this company to refinish an old fiberglass tub back in early 2007 so I am finally getting around to writing my review. Joe the owner was very prompt and courteous with his explanation of the refinishing process. Unfortunately, the end result wasn't wonderful. Basically the tub is sprayed with a form of paint and if it isn't applied correctly the finish is very inconsistent. Some parts of the tub were blotchy and had a rough feel while other parts were very smooth like glass. The tub was touched up but I still think the tub looks inconsistent. Joe was very understanding and available to fix the problems, but maybe my expectations of the finished product were too high. I don't think I would go through this process again since the smell from the paint lingered in my house for days and I was concerned for my kids' health from the fumes.

bathtub refinishing
+ -1 moreThe technician was professional and courteous. (Actually, he apologized profusely for being 5 minutes late. Around here, you're lucky to have a contractor even show up). He did an excellent job, and we are so pleased with the results. The bathtub looks brand new!
Description of Work: We have an 18 year old fiberglass bath tub. The finish was worn and nearly impossible to keep clean. There was dirt literally stuck in the by-then porous surface. Replacing the tub would have cost 1000's of dollars (and probably required tearing open a wall). Many of the refinishing options we looked into were only good for cast iron tubs. We happened upon Miracle Method online, and after talking to the local franchise, we decided to give them a try, even though the price seemed too good to be true. The work included surface preparation of old tub, masking of existing bathroom fixtures, and spraying of an epoxy type compound on tub.
