Got on the schedule for an estimate appointment. They called two days before to change the time from 11a.m. to 10a.m., this was fine with me. Day of at 10:15 no call and no one had shown up so I called the main number. Spoke with a man who said that Greg was running a bit late there was "traffic" and that the appointment was for 10-10:30. That was not what I was told when they called to change the appointment, it was 10. So, I said ok, fine, I'll wait until 10:30 (I was taking time off work to meet them) and by 10:45, I called back and asked if Greg was really coming or not. The man put me on hold and when he came back he said that he wasn't sure what was going on but there was apparently "traffic" and Greg was on his way but still 20 minutes out. I don't know where Greg was coming from but by this point he would have been an hour and 10 minutes LATE on top of having been later than the original appointment. I lost 2 hours of paid work time waiting for them. This did not instill great confidence for how they were going to be so we decided to nix them off the list. Perhaps they do good work -- I can't say they don't but this first impression isn't worth the risk.

So far so good! James came out and did the estimate. They were running behind for the day but made sure to call me more than an hour in advance to let me know. James was great, very knowledgeable, and great customer service in a family business kind of way that you don't find too often. He gave us the estimate just a few hours later. I called two days after getting other estimates. They came the same day! The work took about an hour and a half to repair the area around the chimney and secure the ridges of the top of the roof. I can't say if the repairs have worked or not due to not having a major thunderstorm since the repair.

Everything went great. When I called for Winter Park roofing to come look at my roof, there were there on time. The person doing the inspection came down from the roof and told me what he saw and what he recommended. Out of all the companies I called for an estimate, this was the only one that took the time and told me what exactly was wrong with my roof. I then received the estimate through my email. The day of the work to be done, I received a courtesy phone call that they were running late and they would take photos of before and after. I even got another call that they were on their way to my home. Overall this experience was top notch and would recommend them to anyone who would need roof repair. Staff was professional from emails and the phone.

i am very happy with the roof. I was seeing pin holes of light and was just thinking repair, but James pointed out other areas of concern, including the need for venting. They had to replace most of the wood, so this should last many years. The crew worked hard, cleaned up and kept me informed. The roof now matches the main house and really improved the look of my property. I will use this company for all roofing needs!

Winter Park Roofing did a great job on the repair. I even asked them to repair my roof on a Saturday because of our rainy forecast and they were able to get their men to work Saturday. The roofers drove to several local places that day trying to match my roof shingles exactly. These men were honest and hard working. Although this was a small job, they responded with expertise and professionalism. Winter Park Roofing will be my first choice when I need my roof replaced !!

They were professional from beginning to end. I received their name from a friend and also received a quote from several other companies and meeting with representatives, I knew they were the company for me. They were very patient with my changing (several times) of the color of the roof. They did the job and were very thorough in their clean up. Their driver for the dumpster ran over my paver sidewalk and Bryon the supervisor came by and fixed the pavers that had been moved. Can't go wrong with this company. Note: I would recommend the Duration shingles - very happy with them and for a small difference in price a substantial warranty.

James and Andrea were very reponsive and professional. James arrived in a timely manner, was very personable and professional. He made his evaluation and determined my issue was not a roof leak. He took the time to point out some good suspects. Based on this interaction I would be comfortable calling again for any roof related issues.

I had multiple estimates and inspections performed by different companies. After narrowing the list, we had an on-site discussion with James and his son Greg. They provided a thorough, detailed explanation of the re-roof process and the realistic timeline for completion. What was most refreshing was the "can do" attitude both have. We had an active roof leak that had been previously covered with a tarp. As soon as we contracted their services, they came out the next day and replaced the tarp to stop any further damage. BTW, not one dollar changed hands until the job was completed. All appointments we kept, the clean-up was thorough, and the roof looks outstanding.

Took me awhile to remember to write this review. They were timely, very fair cost, high quality, took care of a few extra things that needed to be done, nice and their work crew was friendly and very clean. The roof is almost two years old and has had zero problems. Debbie

Overall very good work. They broke one small thing on the house (a water spigot) in the process but fixed it immediately with no questions. I would definitely use them again.

Our work was performed at the end of September 2014 and we wanted to make sure, although time has past, that we share our excellent experience with Winter Park Roofing. They did an excellent job and they were a pleasure to work with! We had a leak in an add-on room that had a flat roof. They not only fixed that so we do not have that problem again, they did an excellent job on our entire roof. We highly recommend this company!

They did a great job. Since the repair we had some real down pours of rain and the roof has no signs of leakage. They even called me to see if they could come out to my house earlier then the scheduled repair date. The workers were very professional, arrived on time, and worked in a diligent manner until the job was completed. I even had questions about the work they performed, Greg took time out of his busy schedule to stop by my house to answer my questions and concerns. He is very knowledgeable about his product. I would highly recommend Winter Park Roofing to anyone or business in need of roofing repair.

Winter Park Roofing did an excellent job. This is the second roofing job that they have done for us and we are very pleased with their work. We have recommended them to our friends. Winter Park Roofing handled our job in a very professional manner. They were prompt in providing an estimate for our job. They helped us in selecting the appropriate shingles and determine if we should install a solar-powered roof fan. They were the least expensive bid for our job, the estimate was accurate and there was no cost creep. They honored their commitment for replacing all damaged roof decking at no additional cost. They installed the job ahead of schedule and quality of their workmanship was excellent. It has been 15 months since they have installed our roof and we have had no leaks or any issues with our roof.

They did a great job! The estimator was punctual and knowledgeable. They were pleasant to deal with and delivered everything we discussed. i'd highly recommend them and plan to use them in the future.

James , the owner of Winter park roofing came to evaluate my metal roof which was causing a leak from the rain . He told me the roof Needed some high - quality sealant and knocked out some dents in the roof - the house is only 4 years old and have me some pointers about metal roofs . He did not charge me anything for the service call or materials ! It is rare nowadays to find a reputable , professional person in the repair business . His office was courteous and professional . I would highly recommend them without reservation !

They did a good job, there was no recurrence of the leak even with heavy rain. I would use them again in the future and highly recommend them to others.

They guarantee their work and they responded quickly. It took about an hour and a half and he cleaned the area up well. They did have to do some rework but overall they did a good job.

Since purchasing the home in 2005 I had one leak that cost $2000 to repair and then a second leak that cost $1500 to repair. When I had a third leak in the kitchen ceiling which would have cost another $2000 to repair, I decided to replace the roof that the previous owner had installed in 2005. Apparently the previous owner hadn't exactly done a new roof but rather installed shingle over shingle which at the time was legal but is no longer. Any roofer would have to do double work removing the two sets of shingles. James Bell of Winter Park Roofing came out and gave me a reasonable quote with an upcharge of $1500-2000 due to the shingle over shingle issue. Otherwise the roof replacement would have run $7250 to $7750. This included submitting the permit, any plywood replacement needed plus a wind mitigation report after installation and a 10 year workmanship warranty. Andrea Bell was responsive to my questions and provided the necessary documentation for moving forward with the roof replacement. Several shingle samples were left for me to review plus once I narrowed the choice down to two colors, Andrea provided the addresses of two homes so I could see the colors on a roof. I choose the Shakewood pattern that best matched my home's brick color. Installation took place over two days in early November and was mostly uneventful. Any minor issues that came up were quickly resolved. The only minor negative came up when I attempted to ask a question about the work in progress and not one of the workers on site spoke English. The foreman who spoke English had gone out to buy more plywood and my question coincided with his absence. On the flip side usually homeowners aren't home during the work and this scenario wouldn't happen again, but I was working from home those days. I would highly recommend Winter Park Roofing for any roofing needs you may have.

I called Winter Park Roofing Inc. on December 11, 2014, to get an estimate for repairing a leak. We scheduled an appointment for December 19, 2014, because I was traveling for business until then. They showed up, inspected the roof, and promised to provide a quote. They had my telephone number and 2 email addresses.As of today, I have not heard from them. I used another company to repair the roof. I really wish they had not wasted my time and theirs, showing up for an inspection but never following up after that. They seem to be very unprofessional.

Winter Park Roofing was the lowest cost provider from all the estimates that I received. They spent a good deal of time on the phone helping me decide what material I wanted to use, the pros and cons of zinc strips, various underlayment, etc. When I made the final decision to get the roofing done and schedule the date, with the exception of a missed returned phone call everything was fine. The work was done over a weekend when the weather was a challenge. The crew did a good job of doing what they could and getting tarps up to protect my home. There was an issue with the pickup of roofing nails on the first day. The contract stipulated a magnetic sweep at the end of every day. It was clear that had not been done. Once I brought it to their attention, the problem did not recur. I had previously had a leak. When they installed the new roofing they did not replace the plywood where the old leak was. Again, when I brought this to their attention, they replaced the plywood it at no additional cost to me. My real frustration came with scheduling payment, the final inspection, and the installation of squirrel guards. They scheduled the payment/inspection date. I came home from work to do it at their convenience. The supervisor was late. The inspector never showed up. I payed the supervisor and he assured me they would have the inspection done in the morning and have the squirrel guards installed and some pictures would be taken for the wind mitigation report. When I got home from work the next day, none of this had been done. I had received no phone calls to reschedule. I called to express my dissatisfaction. The next day the inspection was completed and the squirrel guards were installed. I never heard anything about the wind mitigation report. I called after a few days to find out the status and they said they needed to come back out to take the photos. We scheduled it for Monday. They did not show up on Monday. The next day they told us they were out of town and rescheduled. They completed the report during that visit. While they were low cost and did quality work, I experienced a great deal of frustration with their inability to keep appointments and communicate with me when the schedule needed to change. Emails went unanswered more than once. The burden of communication was always with me, because they just weren't going to do it.

There was nothing I disliked. He is a really good guy. He is honest and dependable. They do great work. I would definitely recommend them to anybody. They pretty much replaced it with a comparable product, if not a better product. So far, so good. It looks good. It seems to be alright.

I struggled on whether or not to leave a review, since no work was done, but in the end, the purpose of Angie's List is to provide feedback. I contacted Winter Park Roofing through the "contact us" button on Angie's List over a week ago, hoping to schedule a time for an estimate. As of today, I have heard nothing. I can understand that companies get busy - but I never received any reply at all - not even an "auto-generated" reply to at least acknowledge receipt of my e-mail. If they are too busy to take on new business now that's fine, but it would have been nice to receive some sort of communication to let me know. There are too many other highly rated roofing companies on Angie's List to waste your time with a company that is not responsive to an initial inquiry. 10-21-2014 Update: I have increased my rating from "F" to "D" as I did receive an e-mail follow-up from this contractor apologizing for not responding.
