They responded quickly and showed up when they said they would be here.

They put tarps down on the side they were working on to catch the debris and cleaned up daily. I still walked the back yard nightly due to the animals and only picked up a few smaller items. The other yards I left for them to do, (as I said they did clean up nightly. The last day the walked cleared the yard as a final overview. I did find some nails and nailing heads in the yard and flowerbeds after that for several days to a few weeks after that due to heavy rains (washing out from the gutters). The roof's finished product looked good and neat. At the end of the project we walked the roof together. He took a lot of pictures in the attic and outside of the roof for me to send to my insurance company. the crew worked well together. The office staff that I worked with were friendly and very responsive.

They have an excellent workmanship. Their timing was not because of their deficiency but because of their subcontractor who supplied the materials. I would use them in the future.

Winter Park Roofing was the first to contact me about providing an estimate, so I was overjoyed. I thought it was a bit pricey but the other 2 roofers never contacted me. When I called to say I wanted to have the roof done by Winter Park Roofing, I was told about the paperwork that needed to be signed and returned. After this step was done, I heard nothing until I called one week later. Then, within the next 3 days the work was started. The owner of the company came out to collect the money and promised a wind mitigation survey that he stated he would complete the following Saturday. He never came. I called the office and left a message, but received no return call. I was somewhat satisfied with the job, but because there was no final follow-through, I would not use this company again.

Let me start by saying I had a roofer out June of last year three times, he didn't do what he should have; but he kindly took my monies. I looked through our roofing list and he is not listed. enough about that: WINTER PARK ROOFING is AWESOME. The first time I called to schedule an appointment for an estimate I felt instant relief and the work was not yet done. I found out about this remarkable company through a friend who's a Realtor. I spoke with Andrea on 09-26-2013 she was so wonderful in assuring me that James would find my problem and have it fixed fixed right; there was four areas upstairs and a couple in the garage area. The workers came 10-03-2013, Adolfo was wonderful. he got into the attic showed me the problems he knew exactly what had to done and was confident of the job; there was another guy, I didn't get his name he was great too.. I feel so relived. I'm enjoying the the rain not fearing that I may have water intrusion into my home. My daughter just said to me today, mom you seem more calmer you're not agitated and its raining: I replied, I'm so relieved knowing we had our roof repaired by professionals. .The owner of the company James Bell responded to my call for a bid very quickly, brought shingle samples and answered all of my questions regarding the process, how soon it could be done, how long it would take etc. I found his office staff to be extremely helpful and used the internet to complete the necessary paperwork so the work permit could be obtained. I knew before they started who would be supervising the job, the fact that the wind mitigation would be done by them, not an outside contractor which would have been an additional charge, and that they would add several new roof vents for better ventilation. In spite of several rain delays the job was finished on time and I was very happy with the result.

Part of my house is two story and where the 1st story roof butts up against the 2nd story I had multiple leaks. I called a number of local roofers to get competitive quotes and Winter Park Roofing was the best. They are a family owned business and James had his son come out to inspect my problem the next morning. His son was very polite and inspected the problem from inside and out. He also took multiple pictures. I received a very competitive written estimate by email that evening and I accepted. Winter Park Roofing managed to schedule my repair in less than 4 days. The repair crew put in a full 8 hours on the job as the wood under the shingles wound up needing replacing, as did the L-flashing. In addition the shingles were hard to match and difficult to find. Afterwards I checked the workmanship and it was excellent. Unfortunately a couple weeks later the first hard rain revealed one last remaining leak at the bottom of the valley. I called Winter Park and spoke with Andrea who was super apologetic and had a crew come out first thing the next morning to repair it with another 4 hours of hard labor. I actually felt bad as I'm sure they lost money on this job but stuck to their original estimate despite some unexpected problems and expenses. There is a family pride and honesty in Winter Park Roofing that is hard to find today. I will recommend them to all my friends without hesitation.

The owner came to my home and gave me a free estimate. A few days later, two workers fixed the area with the leak and installed the sealant.

Two (2) days start to finish. I am amazed. Steep pitch roof, 41 squares of material. These guys know what they are doing and get it done with the least amount of inconvenience to the home owner. I was present for the tearoff and had to leave town the second day. When I returned on day 3 the roof was complete, and there was very little evidence that they had been there. James (owner) was prompt and kept me informed. The workers were steady and professional. The price was lower than expected and there were no surprises from the date of the original estimate . I always expect some "yeah, but" when it comes to the end. Not so in this case. James gave me an estimate, a date for start and an expected completion. EVERYTHING WAS ACCURATE!! I do not expect that I will require Winter Park Roofing's services for the next twenty (20) years, but if I do I have complete confidence that they will be just as good as they were with the new roof today. Would I recommend them?? YES WQITHOUT ANY RESERVATIONS!!!

Very quickly completed (1 day) as they had a big crew. The crew worked until done, from about 8:00am till 7:00 pm. The office was a little difficult to reach, they do not seem to have full time office coverage. But very professional and easy to work with when we got them on the line.

They were contacted by another provider who was doing work for me- and since I had used them in the past to repair a small leak I was happy with that. They kept in email touch with me since I was out of town- and showed up the day they said they would, they were on time, and did a great job. They left me details about what was done.

....................... MY WISH LIST............. SCORECARD: If you read my other roofer review you will see the preferences I want from a roofer. I got estimates from the 4 roofers with the most positive reviews on Angie's List however it left me undecided because none of them were giving me the majority of preferences on my wish list. I can see the quantity of good reviews can not be used as a score card and doesn't lead to the best choice. There are a lot of good 'A' roofers to choose from and the best may have less reviews. Winter Park Roofing has 58 reviews and was able to handle my wish list. ESTIMATE: James the owner gave me the estimate. I told him about all the problem areas on my roof and he told me how he would solve the problem and also make it aesthetically pleasing for the home owners associaton. He could see the condition of the fascia wood and gave me a price which included replacement of bad wood. I bought a solar powered attic ventilator fan at Lowe's and Winter Park Roofing installed it at no charge. This roofer also did a wind mitigation inspection at no additional charge. Also included was a 10 year warranty. OVERALL EXPERIENCE: The roofers arrived early and worked long and hard finishing the project in one day. One guy kept the ground clean by constantly picking up any debris that fell, moving the tarps as needed and using a magnet roller to pick up any nails. The crew leader spoke english which allowed me to ask questions as they proceeded. I can see from reading other reviews that some roofers may have no english speaking person on the job. QUALITY: I chose Owens Corning Oakridge Architectural shingles. It is a high quality shingle superior to the old 3 tab shingles I had. Gil the crew leader did the wood work. I noticed he had a commitment to making it look good as though he was going to sign his name to the work. He replaced some wood paneling with hardie board where there is a step up from the garage to the house which will eliminate the wood rot problem I had. He noticed other problems such as water stains on the wide fascia over the front entrance and corrected the fascia problem. PROFESSIONALISM: The owner James, his wife, son and brother-in-law are all involved in the business which leads to more commitment to the business and customer satisfaction. Although I am picky about having everything in writing there were no surprises that would lead to customer disatisfaction. If you read my review on Lowe's Water Heater installation you can see that after paying Lowe's $35 for an estimate the Lowe's authorized plumbing contracter decided to make the installation a 2 man job and added an additional labor charge to the estimate Lowe's sold to me. Surprise! Surprise! ENERGY SAVINGS: I chose the Owens Corning Oakridge White Architectural shingle with the Energy Star label which has a high reflectance value. I bought a solar powered attic ventilation fan at Lowe's and the roofer installed at no charge. The roofer installed ridge vents. The roofer did a no charge wind mitigation inspection so I can get some savings on my home owners insurance. I need to call Duke Energy to see if there are any rebates for these energy saving improvements. IN SUMMARY: The internet has made business very competitive. I think when getting an estimate on home improvement the customer has more power now to ask for what he wants and to request a winning price. MOST IMPORTANT TO ME: -10 year warranty -Free wind mitigation inspection. -Include wood to be replaced in the estimate, or give a good faith estimate, or put a percentage limit on the charge. -Best price. -All workers on the job covered by worker's compensation insurance. -Havng a well maintained website so I can contact and get information. -No money saving coupons. Just give me your best price. -Workers who care about their work. -A roofer who is willing to listen to my roof problems and solve them. -Surprise me with perks like free installation on attic fan, cleaning gutters, and free wind mitigation inspection. OK, so it took 5 estimates to find the roofer who could fulfill my wish list. If you read my other roofer review you know I like "The Hunt" and I am "Frugal" AND there are businesses willing to put up with me and all my demands. :-)

I had an onset of several things to happen all at once and Winter Park came out to repair a couple leaks due to some squirrel damage. They also placed a cover or cage over the lead piping so the squirrels couldn't cause further damage. They came right out and I didn't even know they were here and before I knew it they were finished. They did a really good job.

James came to our rescue after we had concern about a roof leak and the possibility of other roof problems. With his experience and knowledge he was able to locate the leak problem and find other potential problems. James and his crew are very friendly but also very professional in their work approach. It was a great relief to have someone we could trust and depend on to prevent major roof problems. Will definitely rely on him for any roof work.

I got 3 estimates for the job from 3 companies with high ratings from Angie's List. Winter Park Roofing provided the first estimate, and I hired them on the spot. It turned out that their estimate was the lowest (highest was $325 more)! I was told they would do the repair on Monday. However, they did not show up until Saturday morning. I figured it was a small job and thus was not high on their list. The repair was done by two people and took about 2.5 hours. The repair came with a 3-year warranty! James, who provided the estimate and helped / supervised the work, is very knowledgeable. He was pleasant and easy to work with. On top of that, he saved me hundreds of dollars on the roof repair. I recommend Winter Park Roofing for your next roof repair job.

We were very pleased with Winter Park Roofing's installation of new shingles on my daughter's home. James, the owner, personally measured the roof and provided a quotation for new shingles. He was extremely knowledgeable about the roofing business and answered all our questions completely. We were particularly impressed with how the work crew protected against rain water entry by removing only one-half the shingles at a time and installing the new ones prior to moving on to the next section. A heavy rain occured the night after one half of the roof was completely reshingled and there was no problem with rain water entry since the old shingles had not yet been removed. and no portion of the roof was exposed. We were so pleased that we gave each member of the work crew a Wal-mart gift card as appreciation for the excellent work. Our experience with WP Roofing was very favorable and we are planning to have them install a solar fan on the roof of our home. We would highly recommend them for any roofing work. Their 10 year warranty against leaks provides high confidence in their quality of workmanship.

I would use this company again & again & again. They are very polite, from making the original call up until the completion of the job. They were supposed to start on Monday but because they heard we had a good chance of rain they came earlier. Great job and clean up after. A wonderful company to work with people who really care.

My skylight was leaking after several days of steady rain. I called for only an estimate and was advised they had someone nearby who could take a look. They would give me call back in an hour. I was at work and told them I wouldn't be able to make it home in time. They assured me they could take loook anyway. An hour later, I did get a call back; not with an estimate, but a report that it was sealed! I will definitely be calling them back when I'm ready to replace my roof. I couldn't be more pleased with their responsiveness.

I checked ratings on Angie's List, found these guys and called for a quote. They were so much more responsive and friendly than anyone else I contacted that I hired them immediately. Their office staff was amazing. They explained what was happening in great detail and made me very comfortable with my decision. I could not recommend Winter Park Roofing highly enough!!

Originally when I called this company, James came out to look at my problem. He was very punctual and I really thought I would be hiring his company to do the work when he left my home. We decided to put the work off until fall when the weather was better and he wanted to bring a contractor back to look at the job because it was quite complicated. I called him back in Oct. of 2012 and he promptly came back out with a contractor. I was very impressed with the contractor as well. They seemed to have a good idea on what needed to be done. When I hadn't received an estimate within two weeks, I called to see why I hadn't heard from them and found out that the contractor had had an emergency and that they had lost my paper work. I told him at the time that it was no problem if he needed to come back out and re-assess the work, but I never heard back from them. Normally if I do not hear back in a reasonable amount of time, I just move on to some one else, but I was so impressed with James that I called them back about two weeks ago and was assured that he would call me back. I spoke with his office twice and have yet to hear from him. I will be moving on to another company. I have no idea why I was not given the courtesy of a return call. Even if they did not think they could handle the job, I would have appreciated a call to explain. This is very confusing since they have such good reviews on Angie's list. On April 12th I was contacted by Winter Park Roofing and they explained what happened. This does seem to be an unusual circumstance for this company. Unbeknownst to me there was some things going on internally that made it difficult for them to complete an estimate for the work I needed done. The lines of communication did not work as well as they could have. As it is, I need to get a general contractor to do the work that needs to be done. I do feel that as evidenced here on Angie's list, that this is a good, well run family business that believes in customer service and merely ran into some unusual circumstances in this instance. They were very apologetic with how this situation took place. I would consider using them in the future on roofing problems that, having been a home owner for 25 years, I'm sure will come up.
