Description of Work: Received an estimate for roof replacment. The person was very friendly and seemed to know what he was talking about but presented the estimate on ahand written proposal sheet, not as professional as the other companies. Since his price was about a thousand dollars cheaper than 3 other estimates I questioned whether he had a full grasp of the required tasks.

Description of Work: I own a unit in a town house. We did not think we needed a new roof but the units were getting to 20 years old. Several other unit did need replacement. As a preventive measure we went along with the others due to the cost was much less if we did all the units at once. A good thing we did, we had a lot of wet wood that would have been a problem soon! One of the owners did all the work in interviewing about 6 companies. Winter Park Roofing just did a better job in working with us. Up-graded shingles, wind mitigation report and best price! They did all units in about a week. Quality work, fair price, good communication and warranty. Everything we expected. Well earned recommendation.

No questions on rework which was required as leaks sites were difficult to locate without substantial rain blowing in a particular direction. WP persevered and won the day. Description of Work: James promptly came out and gave us a competitive estimate. After we decided to go with WPR, the Permit was obtained in a timely manner and all the supplies were delivered before the work started. The WPR team worked quickly, efficiently, and all in all were very professional. We're especially thankful that the roofers worked in as quiet a manner as possible and didn't use questionable language or talk in an angry tone to each other during the duration of the reroof. Other teams have not been so courteous. The WPR team also cleaned up after every work day. The commendable way in which they worked, also, did not go unnoticed by the neighbors. James, the owner, was good about checking on the worksight and was always available to talk to. You called him and your call would be answered right away or returned in a couple minutes. When one minor problem occurred, he was over in 24 hrs. to try to resolve it. WPR also solved a leaking problem with our roof that hasn't been solved for years! We liked James' work so much that we asked WPR to install solar powered roof fans which was done in a very timely and professional manner. We're thinking of a couple more projects for next year and will call them first.

Description of Work: Ed from Winter Park Roofing came out to look at a leak in our roof. We had tried several times unsuccessfully to have it fixed. He fixed it on the spot and didn't charge us because it was such an easy job. Not enough time has passed to see if it worked, but I am so impressed with his professionalism and amazing customer service that I wanted to respond right away. How many service providers won't charge you??!! If we develop a more serious roof problem , he'd be the one that I'd call.

Description of Work: Back in April 2011, I hired a general contractor on a recommendation from a friend to re-roof the area over my Florida room. During a hard rain, the water would run down the INSIDE of my drywall and pool on my tile floor! My wife was pregnant at the time and I knew it was time to act fast and have the problem corrected to prevent mold inside the house. Unfortunately for me I did NOT check references for this "contractor" and as a result had poor workmanship. During the next hard rain water, once again, ran down my wall like a waterfall! I could not believe my eyes and to my frustration I paid $3250.00 to do the job! I called the contractor numerous times to correct the problem. He came out out once and made matters worse! I also found out that the job was not inspected by the city to comply with local ordinances. He stopped answering my calls all together and kept telling me "there's nothing wrong with the job I did" I was quite angry to say the least!! I called James Bell, a licensed certified residential roofing contractor. He is the owner and operator of Winter Park Roofing. James came out and inspected my roof. He called me out on the roof and to my shock showed me the errors and outright poor quality work. He pointed out to me that this particular contractor used the wrong roofing material. The product used was designed to be rolled over a shed or barn NOT a residential roof! He also explained to me that this would have NEVER passed a city inspection. He pointed out various defects like open nail holes, nails driven through the surface, incorrect vent ducts, and wrong adhesive to name few. James reassured me that he could correct the problem and do the job the right way. I hired Winter Park Roofing that day to once again re-roof my Florida room. I could not be happier with EXCELLENT workmanship that his crew performed. They were professional, timely, and very courteous to me when I asked questions. James went one step further and wrote me a letter that I'm using in court to sue this past contractor. He even offered to appear as a material witness in my case! How many contractors would stand up and do that for their customers! I would venture to say not many. I highly recommend James Bell, Winter Park Roofing, for any roof repairs you may have. He runs a top notch company that , in my opinion, puts any other roofing contractors too shame!

Description of Work: Removed and replaced roof with multilayered torchdown system. Replaced all rotted wooden fascia with new pressure treated wood and re-stuccoed entire garage. Gave me an awesome workmanship warranty.
