Chris from Pool Guard did an excellent job. He was responsive, quick on the estimate and install and affordable. He suggested a gate, which I didn't even know was an option when I installed a pool fence at a previous home, and it makes the pool fence so much more usable. Very satisfied.

Called Chris on Tuesday and he quoted me a price over the phone. Scheduled work for Thursday morning and they were done in 1 1/2 hours. Excellent service. Looks great. My cats don't like it but my grand babies are safe.

Chris did a FANTASTIC job. The quality of material he used appears to be high quality and his workmanship was outstanding. The pool fence was needed for our 11 month old and 2 and a half year old. Chris made sure to leave adequate space between the fence and the pool itself (approximately 1 foot). The fence is very easy to maneuver if you need to gain access to the pool, yet impossible for my 2 and a half year old to pull out due to the tension at the top. We chose to go with the black pool fence to which it definitely added a look of elegance to our backyard and we couldn't be happier. Between the quality of material, the speed of which Chris was able to undertake the project, his knowledge on product specifications and warranty information, we will definitely be recommending him to our friends/family.

Chris did a great job installing a fence around our pool so our twin toddlers can safely enjoy the back yard. He installed it within days of me contacting him, and the installation was fast, professional, and clean. The fence product itself exceeded my expectations. Chris was also able to recommend a pool service company, which I hired to remove my dangerous pool slide and to do weekly maintenance. Choosing Chris and Pool Guard of Greater Orlando was a win all around.

Chris was very responsive, arrived on time and consulted very well what to do. He executed the task on time, in top quality. Very reliable person and great quality products. If you need a person close to Baldwin Park/Winter Park/College Park he is the best.

Chris was very responsive and was out to the house to give an estimate the day after we closed. He came out to do the install 3 days later and was done very quickly. Fence looks great and we can't wait to be able to use our new patio and not have to worry about our 2 yr old daughter falling in. He was recommended by a family friend and we will also be recommending his services to others.

Chris was very responsive and timely in providing an estimate and installing the gate. Both were done well and within a few days, even when I informed him that installation would have to be within a couple of days while I was at the property (it is a vacation rental home). He offered helpful advice on the color of fencing and where it ought to be placed. Until just a couple of weeks ago, I would have given all A's, although I know his price was a bit higher than other providers, I was appreciative of his quick response. Unfortunately, for the last month, the gate locking mechanism has been intermittently and unpredictably locking itself so that anyone trying to use the pool may be either LOCKED INTO the pool area, or LOCKED OUT OF the pool area unpredictably. Several handy people fiddled with the mechanism, but still had troubles with it sporadically locking. After a couple of weeks of fiddling with it, I called Chris because it was still under warranty. After a few days, he called back and offered some suggestions for how we might fix it, and said he would come take a look himself if we could not. We tried his advice and failed to fix it, and so called him again asking for help. About a week later, he texted and said he would come out, and did not come the day he said, but came the following day. For these couple of weeks, we had to remove the gate entirely so that this unfortunate event did not surprise anyone stuck inside or outside the pool fence. Without letting me know he had arrived and already left the property, he texted a rude response, saying and quot;There's nothing wrong with your gate. Just drove 35 miles for no reason. 70 roundtrip.and quot; I immediately phoned and explained that we were not trying to waste his time; sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. He explained that it is working and that I could contact the manufacturer of the locking mechanism, which I said I would do. I then informed him that we were not wanting to waste his time--it usually does not work, and sometimes does, and that is why it is broken and we needed him to replace the locking mechanism. I told him that rather than sending a rude text, I would have preferred he phone me from the property to let me know it APPEARED to him to be working, and I could have explained how it was not. He rudely informed me that it was a waste of his time and I let him know I had found him on Angie's List and would be posting this review. He then informed me that he would now be billing me for his trip (which ought to be under warranty). Very disappointed in this treatment of me as a customer.

I called 5 or 6 companies and was generally pleased with the response. Chris Gentry, however, not only responded right away, but he was able to give me an idea of pricing over the phone. When we closed on the house, he was responsive, and came to the home to measure and give recommendations. His pricing was in line, if not a bit better, than others I had called, and he was able to install the fence quickly. My husband and I were impressed with his prompt attention and the finished product. We would gladly recommend Pool Guard.

Excellent service with the best price of all the competitors. From the first visit by Chris to give me the estimate to the installation today, everything was very polite and informative. I selected the upgraded mesh, which is totally worth it because it's ultra-transparent and looks really good. They went out of their way to get that in for me quickly. This company uses material made by a long established national company in Clearwater, So that's good, they're semi-local. The installer Jerry was also extremely polite, did a great job putting the fence in the best possible way hugging the pool, and was very informative. There's really not much else to say about a pool fence. In 1.5 hours it was all said and done. No flaws, looks great, baby safe. I doubt I''ll ever need it, but good to know they have a lifetime warranty.

They did a great job with the installation. He did it really quick and everything looks wonderful. They installed the fence in a weeks notice and work very well with me to get the white fence.

Chris gave me an estimate over the phone (he answered immediately) for our project and I called him back a couple of days later to request an on-site visit. He was in the area and arrived at our house within 30 minutes, described the product, installation details, and gave us a detailed written estimate. We agreed to the fair price and were able to schedule the installation for 9:00 am the following day. Chris showed up on time and completed the installation of the safety fence and self-closing, lockable gate in roughly 1 1/2 hours. We are completely satisfied with his quick response, friendly attitude, punctuality and workmanship. The fence and gate are sturdy, attractive, secure, and easy to remove and store. As far as the negative reports are concerned, I certainly wouldn't rate an 'F' in all categories to a business I didn't use just because I didn't get an email reply - how about a simple phone call? And blaming a child safety fence company for an insurance problem is simply unfair. I would recommend this company with no reservations.

Company did not respond to two email requests for quotes. Ended up using another company.

Pool Guard assured me that the safety net they would install would meet all requirements (ordinances) for safefty pool covering. I did attempt to do a little research, and thought they may be on to something. I talked at length with them about why we wanted the net.....to preserve our lake view, and they were well aware that this would be the only means of protection we wanted to use as we had no privacy fence. The problem came with insurance. No insurance company in FL will insure a pool that has a safety net as the only means of protection. While I can't fault them for lying.....it does meet the county ordinance.....they were very misleading. I called them back after we had to go back to using the child safty fence to discuss this with them, but I have yet to hear from them, and we are out $1000 with a net we can't use that now sits in our garage.
