Excellent job on my 1935 home. The estimator came out right away and assured me that they could do the job and knew exactly what it would entail. I was very impressed because my home is old and I was afraid that the entire portico would have to be rebuilt due to water damage (it was repaired perfectly and wood replaced etc). I received an estimate within a week or so and detailed description of how the job would be done. Job was finished in two days and everything was left clean and neat throughout. I did wait about a month but it was due to weather (which is beyond anyone's control.)I was extremely pleased with the service and professionalism of this company. I highly recommend them. They even sent a thank you card...

I thought there should have more for the price.

Had a leak in bathroom and got three estimates. Lundberg was in middle price wise, but was very professional and able to diagnose issue quickly. Did a great job fixing too. My only complaint was it took almost 2 months to schedule in - but I know it was their busy time.

Revised 02/15/2014 - In my original 12/31/2013 review, I mistakenly attributed a rectangular depression in the finished roof's surface to the use of thinner plywood than the original roof deck material. Because of this I scored quality and professionalism lower. About three weeks after that review was posted, the company called me to come out and redo the repair. The following is a revised review and I increased their quality and professionalism grade. - - - - - - - David Lundberg and an assistant arrived, then promptly went to work tearing/scraping off the shingles around the hole. Then cut the roof deck around the hole. Installed a new piece of plywood for the roof deck and then covered it with new, nearly color matched, shingles. PROBLEM: The patched area is lower than the rest of the roof. So much so that there is a rectangular depression in the roof's surface where the patch was made. However, it does appear to be shedding water adequately. I wrote about this in my 12/31/2013 review. A company employee came out in February to redo the work. He discovered the rectangular depression was because the original roof had significantly more roof felt than the new patched area. He added roof felt, re-shingled it and it looks great. Update 06/04/2014: Just before hurricane season, I use a leaf blower to check for detached shingles. Shingles that lift up would allow hurricane wind-driven rain to get under them and possibly enter the attic. As you can see (red dots) in the Loose Repaired Shingles photo, several of the Lundberg repair shingles were not properly adhered to the shingle underneath them.

Leak under the eaves: A couple years ago I had a leak that had probably been there from the time the house was reroofed by a different contractor in 2005. By the time it was discovered (it was hidden by sofft), there was a hole in the roof. David said it was likely from inadequate flashing, and they made a repair. Maybe a year later I noticed it was leaking again, and they said they hadn't gone far enough up the valley to fix the problem fully. It was covered under warranty, and they fixed and even larger portion of the roof at no charge. When it seemed to be leaking again, what I was seeing was actually a harmless result from my new gutter covers, but they encouraged me to call again if I thought there was an issue. Leak in the garage: Then I had a separate leak in the garage. They made the repair, and I haven't had a problem since. I very much appreciate Lunberg Roofing for standing behind their work and offering excellent customer service.

up.The roofer came on time, He was professional worked consistently on the roof didn't take any breaks it told about 4 horurs. the cleanup went we'll I was concerned about the patio area since I have a dog but all roofing nails were cleaned up and all shingle pieces removed. The gentleman asked if I had paint to match sofat which I did and he painted it for me, a big help. I was very pleased with the work.

Satisfactorily repaired roof leak around skylight. I would recommend Mr. Lundberg's services.

We purchased an older home, originally from the 80's. Soon after moving in, we realized that we had several problems with our roof and chimney, several small leaks, and especially the chimney was loose and looked like it was rotting from inside the attick. The team came right away to perform an estimate, and even though they were 8 weeks out to be able to do the work, they came and put a tarp over our chimney, and stayed in contact with us of when the services would be performed. They were extremely professional. We conducted multiple estimates, and they were the most comprehensive/detailed in their estimate, and charged a fair price for the level of work. We are very pleased, and strongly reccomend David Lundberg Building and Roofing.

I absolutely loved him. The owner was the one who came out. He looked at everything and measured everything himself. That really blew me away. The man is something else. He also did my neighbor's roof while he did mine.

At first contact it was the following week that they could come out for a quote. When they came out a basic patch was done while providing a quote. Since we used them before we accepted and given a time frame of 6-8 weeks for the repair. They called about 7 weeks later and showed up with incorrect sized skylights. The following week the special ordered windows arrived and were installed. Where it seemed somewhat disorganized on the administrative side all went well overall and we are very satisfied with themed result. We would definitely use them again.

David meet with my Dad and followed up with an email that included pictures of the items inspected. He was very thorough and was great explaining what he was looking for and answering my dad's questions. He gave an estimate for the remaining life and patched a trouble spot with a nail poking through a shingle. He inspected the fireplace chimney cap, ridge vents and the edge all the way around the house. Excellent inspection by a very knowledgeable professional.

We're very pleased with them. He did it when he said he was going to do it for the price that he quoted. He appears to have done a good job. When we originally contacted him, he was booked up. He said that he will get back to it as soon as he can. He did it a couple of weeks ago. In fact, when the roof needs to be completely redone, we plan to use them.

Everyone we dealt with was very professional. This was our first major renovation to our home and they made the process simple and painless. The work was done in a timely manner and the new roof looks great!

I called to set up and appointment for an estimate, the office staff Larry was very helpful and got me set for an appointment. The day and time of the appointment it was raining and when the estimator came to the door, we decided that he would come back in a few days as there was no way for him to do an estimate in the pouring rain. A week later with no word from them, I called back to reschedule and the woman I reached stated that she would have the estimator call me to come by that week. Two weeks later I called agian because my spouse insisted. An appointment was scheduled at that time. When they called to confirm the appointment the woman fist called and stated that she did not know what time the appointment was for so please call her to confirm at the very same time Larry called confirming it for the scheduled time, they each left a voicemail within 1 minute of the other. At the time of the appointment the estimator did not knock to see if anyone was home, I had told them I may not be, but as my spouse was home at the time. After all that, the woman called a few days later to request my e-mail address to send the estimate to however about 10 minutes later I got an e-mail from them with the estimate. Needless to say we did not go with them after the horrible service we received, not what I would have expected at all from such a highly rated company.

We have an older home with a tile roof. This last repair was from cracked tiles. Their pricing is fair and reflects the amount of work involved. We have used this company for several years and we have recommended them to friends who were pleased as well. We have had three companies repair spots over the last 15 years, and each one has tried to sell us a new roof,except this one. Integrity is important to us, and Mr. Lundberg certainly fits that description.

Excellent, he was always on tim,e professional and courteous. I recommend highly him.

They're very professional, the owner comes out to do the estimate and afterward he comes to check if everything was done right, if the workers cleaned up and if we were happy. Then the workers come as scheduled and stick to their time frame. What more could you ask for? I have had no problems whatsoever. This was the second roof that they have done for me.

Everyone I spoke to was very nice, very helpful. Wendy was especially nice. She seemed to care that my roof was leaking and I was upset about it. At least that is the way she made me feel. :) The guys came and estimated the fix and put down a tarp to stop the damage. They came about three weeks later to do the repairs. It has rained very hard several times since and not a drop leaking.

Never made it past the scheduling part of the process. The scheduler kept referencing how busy they were and that they were a small company, followed up with asking me if I still wanted them to come by. After this same conversation happened the third time during the call, it was clear to me that they did not want this business. Maybe the reasoning is because this repair job was a small project. I know that I will need a new roof in the near future, and I know who I won't be calling.

Received a phone call from David Lundberg Building & Roofing explaining that it would be at least 2-weeks before anyone could come out to provide an assessment and estimate. I called another roofer in the YELLOW PAGES and they came out to assess and estimate. We approved the estimate and the roof was fixed the same day.

Mr Lundberg was most congenial. Among other things, he made suggestions to improve the roof that would reduce my homeowner's insurance. He gave me lots of options and why I would or would not choose one over the other. I know very little about roofs so I did a little research before he came and he was already suggesting the better quality, heavier duty, materials recommended by FEMA vs the minimum building code guidelines. They even taped the wood panel joints as FEMA suggests (we live in hurricane prone area). That alone made me feel that he would be installing a quality roof that would last many, many years versus the 10 years of the previous, minimal building code, Pulte roof. I got quotes ranging from $8,000 (building code minimum) to $36,000 for a new roof from various roofers (including Home Depot). NO ONE else was offering the quality materials that Lundberg was at any where near this price. His workers were most congenial and respectful. I can't say enough good things about this experience. If I ever need a roof again (I hope not) or if one of our family members ever needs a new roof, there is no doubt that I'll be calling Dave Lundberg.
