8/4/09 I brought my IMac in because the video/screen was not working. I was told that they would examine and diagnose the problem for a bench charge of $55, and that they would call me in 3-4 days. I paid the bench charge and left my computer with the shop. 8/11/09 A week went by and no-one called. I called and asked if they had had a chance to check it out. I was referred to Jonathan who told me what the problem was and that he could fix it for $650. I told him I would call him back after talking it over with my husband. After deciding that we would go ahead with the repair, my husband called and spoke with Jonathan within an hour of my call. Jonathan explained to him what the problem was (my husband understood the problem better than I did) and my husband authorized him to do the repair. Jonathan said that he would do it, and it would be ready for pickup the next afternoon 8/12. We were unable to get to the store the next afternoon, but went the next day 8/13/09. Jonathan came out from the back and asked "What were we doing with this computer? I didn't write it down." I was astonished. I said, "You are telling me you have not done the job??" He said no. He said he would have to order a part and since it was 4:45 pm he doubted that the part would arrive the next day, but more likely it would come in on Monday. This would bring the time I have been computer-less to 2 weeks. As of today (8/13) I do not have my computer and can only hope the part will arrive on Monday. All telephone conversations were initiated by my or my husband. I guess it never occurred to Jonathan to call me to find out what he was supposed to do. If it is not completed by Monday I will take it out of there and go elsewhere (the Apple Store).
Description of Work: no services have been performed. Only the diagnostic work was done.

They are great. They have training classes on Saturdays for people in the area that are free. They will talk to you about any problems you have and they are always friendly and helpful.
Description of Work: They diagnosed and repaired a motherboard problem on our Apple G5 that was still under warranty. The work was done in the shop.

IT WAS SUPER. THEY ARE EXCELLENT. I ACTUALLY JUST RECOMMENDED THEM TONIGHT TO SOMEBODY ELSE. THEY ARE VERY NICE. THEY TOOK THE TIME TO LISTEN. THEIR PRICE SEEMED FAIR COMPARED TO ALL THE OTHER PLACES. THEY WERE VERY EAGER TO HELP. THEIR RESPONSIVENESS WAS GOOD. THEY ARE MY GO TO COMPUTER PEOPLE.

The people at the Connecting Point Computer Center had the memory needed for my computer even though it is an older model. I was pleasantly surprised that the price of the part included free installation.
Description of Work: I purchased new software for my laptop but it would not work. The people at the Connecting Point Computer Center installed extra memory and it fixed the problem.
