READ THE REVIEWS - DO NOT PURCHASE. We have taken multiple days off work for repairs, as the window they give for an appointment is 8am-5pm, for the technicians to NO SHOW. You cannot speak to a live person. Their phone system is automated and sends you on a loop of no help.

This is the absolute worse service repair company ever. I was told the service call would be $75.00. Fine with me. The service guy came out, told my husband that we needed to be sure there was no hair stuck in the door that was why we had a slight leak - according to him even 1 hair would break the seal. Told him to clear the tiny rubber holes and DID NOTHING. About the water backing up into the dispensers. All this for $151.00. It took him less than 30 minutes! Total rip off!
Description of Work: I have a front loading LG washer. Water is backing up into the bleach and fabric dispenser. I asked for them to check drain plug and determine why all water wasn't draining from washer. The repair man DID NOTHING

I purchased a brand new refrigerator. I noticed it was no longer cold the early evening of Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011. I followed the warranty instructions and was transferred to A&E Service. I was informed the earliest a technician was available was Tuesday, Oct. 4th. Since the refrigerator was brand new, I said it would be quicker for me to return the unit and purchase a new one elsewhere. A&E said they would check if I was eligible for expedited service and let me know by close of business on Friday. (Two days to determine if something is eligible for expedited repair is unreasonable). I asked "what are the criteria for expedited service". A&E was not able to answer the question. I asked to speak to a manager. I was placed on hold for a few minutes and then told the manager was helping someone else. I asked to hold. I was told I was not allowed to hold. The manager would call me back that night. Needless to say, no one ever phoned me back. I received an automated phone call Tuesday night, October 3rd reminding me the technician would be on site the next day. There was no ability to confirm or cancel the visit. In the meantime, the refrigerator had been fixed (by someone else). I phoned A&E and asked to speak with a manager. Again, no manager was available. I cancelled the visit and asked again for a manager to phone me. I never received the promised return call. This company's customer service is so poor trying to do business with them is a waste of time. In the future, I will not purchase any appliances until I know who is responsible for performing warranty repairs. If it is A&E, I will be purchasing elsewhere.
Description of Work: No service was performed. A&E was unable to provide timely responses or scheduled repairs.

When they have to order a part, they do so by mail. So you have to wait until it comes in. The parts were mailed to me, one box at a time. Getting A & E to come out to fix the washer once I got the parts was difficult and I ended up having to have another company to fix the washer.
Description of Work: I had them out to fix my washer.

Brand new washing machine (3 months old) broke. No water would enter the machine. Since the machine is new, getting parts was a problem. One week without a washing machine is not fun! This was no fault of A&E - yes the part was a PLASTIC sensor that caused the water not to enter the machine. A&E came and diagnoised the problem, the technician did a local search to try and find the part locally so he could return that day and install, but it was not availble anywhere....so A&E called me back (impressed that I didn't have to chase this) to tell me would have to order the part and it was shipped to the house. Once it showed up, I was then responsible for calling A&E to schedule the installation. That's how it worked. Both A&E staff that worked at our home we on time and pleasant. The diagnoses was correct (part was bad), the installer knew what he was doing and made sure machine worked properly (ran it through it's cycles, adjusted the legs/leveled) before he left. I think they did a good job, learned they are a national firm (800 call center does scheduling).

They came and changed with a cheap plastic part. We used the machine the next day and it flooded the whole house. They came back said it was all the installers fault (machine was installed 4 years ago and they have worked on it 3 times)and would not accept any responsibility. Damage to home was over $5000. Filed a claim with their main office and once again they assuemed no responsibility. I would never use this company again.

It went badly. The appliance repair tech they sent damaged the floor under the washer. They absolutely failed to respond.
