Description of Work: I called Refrigeration and Electric to get a second opinion of work done by another company. They answered my call promptly and Mike came out the same afternoon. Refrigeration and Electric was $9 cheaper than the other company for their service call - $90 vs $99. The other company (which I had previously used) had come out yesterday to check why my AC had stopped cooling. He said I needed capacitors outside and inside at $165 each and he went ahead and replaced the outside one. He advised me to have the power company check my incoming voltage before he replaced the inside capacitor as he was getting 273 and our unit maximum was 253. TECO checked today and found 241 at our main box and the AC box. Mike checked both capacitors for me as well as checking the voltage. He said the inside capacitor was good and he read the voltage the same as TECO - 241. Both he and TECO suggested the other company's meter may not have been working correctly leaving me to wonder whether the outside capacitor at a cost of $165 was necessary. Mike said it probably was the cause of my unit not cooling. I told Mike what I was charged and he indicated that they didn't charge that much for theirs and that the inside capacitor would have been less than the outside one. I'm really happy that I called them for a second opinion and plan to let the other company know to check their metering equipment.

Description of Work: Have used them for various projects over a several year span -- from repairs of an existing air conditioning system, to complete replacement of an AC, to just buying filters.
