went well. Prompt, managed clean up after job, responded quickly for a touch up that I wanted, and explained the job process as to times for what work they were going to do ie; drywall placement, texture times, when each coat of paint was to be applied and dry times.

After playing phone tag for a week, set up an appointment for an estimate. He no-showed! I can't vouch for his work, I can't speak to his pricing. All I can say is I waited for 2 hours and then called another candidate. Don't want to destroy his rating in case there was some kind of catastrophe, so I will just mark as "fair".

Called several times to schedule for an estimate with him but he failed to show up each time. The reason he gave basically said it wasn't convenient for him.

Joe and his crew did a wonderful job. Re-tiled the floor, walls and shower (including its floor and ceiling) and also installed a pocket door. Repainted all walls and trim. They were always on time. Joe works along with his crew and works every day (except Sundays) until the job is completed. Cleaned up each day. This was his second job for us and after he finishes a major job he is on right now, he will be back to do some additional work. Trust, reliability, respectfulness = Joe Black!

Joe was great kept us up to date when he would be there and gave us a great price, and the install was great my wife was there when they installed the door and said Joe was really a nice guy. Called me within two days and was here by the end of the same week. Very professional. Very easy to talk to and explained what he was was doing. Will call him the next time.

I called him and asked him to come over to give me an estimate to opened a former door that used to exist between two bedrooms that the former owners closed off and put in shelves in both rooms. I only wanted the door way opened back up and a door put back in. And I asked him if he could look at my kitchen door because it sticks trying to open and close the door. He told me he had a painting job to finish up but he would stop by the next day on his way home. He never showed or called. Two days later I called him again only to get a message to leave a message. I left a message for him to call back , that I was still interested. I have yet to hear from him. So I am moving on to someone else. I chose him because he had good reviews. I even told him the first day that I got his name from Angies List !

Great handyman takes pride in his work. As well as a great job, very happy with his work. Keeps to his word for what he will do.

Super job! Joe had previously installed two exterior doors and a very tricky pocket door in our doublewide, as well as repairing a rotted section of subfloor. The work was excellent and the price was very reasonable. So we knew he was the one to build the decks for us and we are thrilled with the finished products. We had drawn up some plans and Joe made some excellent suggestions on changes that would improve functionality, appearance and structural stability. We couldn't be happier with the results. He was always on time, ready to work and a delight to have around. We will definitely hire him again.

Joe was honest and accurate with what had to be done, how it would be done and cost. We used his services over a period of a couple months due to problems with products we ordered online arriving damaged and having to be sent back. He put up a 57" bathroom mirrored cabinet and replaced several pool screens for us. It's nice to know there are dependable hard working guys out there. we'd hire them again in a heart beat.

Provider returned my call promptly. Came out the same day and gave me an estimate. Returned the next day and completed all the work.

I had a time restriction on when the work could be done. Joe Black's was able to fit my schedule. There were a couple of wall switches from the old fans that weren't working properly and those were replaced at no extra charge for supplies or installation. The gutters were extremely full of the grit that comes off the roof and leaf debri. I think their shop vac was filled 4 times with the material causing the clogs.

After coming out to look at the job and telling me it would be about two weeks, it seemed he had no time. I called once and was told it would be another 10 days. I'm not as much concerned about the delay but am really put off that he didn't call once to keep me apprised of his schedule. He was also going to put me in touch with other professionals but did not do so.

It was great...he comes when he says he will be there, works very cleanly, does what he said he will do. He has also done some major apartment renovation for us....painting, tile, patching, making counters, changing lighting fixtures.....works quickly and is honest and very easy to talk to. Very Trustworthy and I would recommend him for any "handyman" projects.

Besides being a delightful human being. Joe is a master craftsman capable of leaping tall buildings in a single bound. I was delighted with his work and will never use anyone else ever again. Joe beautifully navigated all my little changes in the work order as well as two dogs and a cat (they loved him). He was professional, timely and always cheerful. He has my highest recommendation.

Joe and his associate Tim came on Thursday morning 8/2 to give us an estimate (1 of 5). By lunch same day, he dropped off the estimate. Even though he was a little more expensive than the other 4, we liked their ideas and suggestions for the scope of work we wanted. We chose them and they were able to start Tuesday, 8/7. Now, my father was a perfectionist and so am I. The quality of their work was 12 out of 10! Polite and courteous, Joe and his team went out of their way to ensure our complete satisfaction; their attention to detail gave us complete confidence in their abilities. Their honesty? We even left the house unlocked for their convenience when we weren't there. I worked for Polk County Building and Codes for almost 20 years and my husband was in construction for several years - these gentlemen are THE BEST!! Before they left on the last day (today) after I mentioned I wanted new carpeting for the porch, but had no way to get it here, Joe offered to drive all the way to town (We live out in the country), pick up the carpet AND install it with no compensation. People like Joe are hard to find. You will NOT be dissapointed by choosing them.

I would ask others to get somebody else to do such work. He was not a perfectionist enough and my husband is a perfectionist. Some of the places he worked on were redone by my husband. He left cigarette buds in the yard. My husband and I used to smoke and now we don't and we were just nasty about it. He came and did the work, but some of the things he did looked awful. My husband had to redo everything. I would not call this guy back. His price was not bad, but it should have been low for the kind of work he did. I would say he was not very professional because he not only smoked but he threw the buds in the yard. I am really fussy about these things.

I contacted Mr. Black on behalf of my elderly mother. He went to her home and took photographs of the damage, which he emailed to me, because I live in another state. I communicated with him on the phone several times and via email regarding the damages and what restoration he suggested. This communication took pressure off my mother. He arrived on time and did exactly what was described in his bid. He even used up paint in the can to do touch ups and moved a curtain rod, which had been "bugging" my Mom. When she offered extra money for moving the rod and doing the touch ups, he refused. Mom was so happy to have such "nice, professional, young men" do the job. She told me to give them an A+! She said that she will certainly use Mr. Black for anymore work she needs done, and she will recommend him to her friends. My sister and I are very thankful that everything went so well and Mom is happy.

I liked everything about him. He did a good and clean job. He did very well. I will use him again in the future.
