The first time went okay, but the yard wasn't cleaned up very well after the tree was brought down and removed. He also outsources the stump removal to another company, but asks you to pay up front ($75 per stump). The stump remover was supposed to arrive the very next day. He never arrived and a week later we had to contact Daniel. When he did come, he spent 10 minutes grinding the stump, left a gigantic pile of wood shavings and killed all of our plants surrounding the stump. We called him again to finish the job with the other two trees, with the specific instruction that the stump grinding be punctual and less expensive to account for the killing of our plants as well as the mess left behind. He refused to budge on overall price but instead had us pay him only for the tree removal and promised he'd negotiate with his stump remover and/or find us another vendor to use. He was to arrive by 9AM. At noon when he had not arrived, we called and he said he was en route. He arrived THREE hours after that call. The tree removal went well. But today, TWO WEEKS LATER, he still has not called us regarding the stump removal and the stumps still exist. When I called him today, he informed me that the stump guy disputed all that we said and RAISED his price to $100 per stump. Daniel did not call us to inform us of the discussion nor did he apologize for not doing so nor did he do a he promised by finding another stump removal. In the end, he hung up on me during my phone call with him.
Description of Work: Daniel (owner) removed one tall palm tree and then we asked him to return to remove 2 more.

The only part of this job I was satisfied with was the front oak tree... the holly on the side was to be "cleaned out" and trimmed. After the initial visit for the job - it was after dark and hard for me to see everything that was either right or wrong with this service. I made assumptions (my mistake) that all work was done correctly... when it came time to pay - there was a disagreement on what was agreed upon. In the end - he accepted what I said was the agreed upon price ($350 vs $500) commented that he had the same problem with somoene else on a street over at that this was becoming a "problem neighborhood" for him. Although the hedge on the side was trimmed - a bit uneven, there was a significant amount of grass/weeds remaining. The virbernum along the back fence was not cut low enough as requested, and the limbs that fell over the fence into the neighbors yard was left and not removed (without my knowledge). The next day my neighbor came over to complain to me. I asked them to remove and they commited to the following day. After not cleaning up - I called again and was promised before 8am the next day. I called again at 10 and it was finally removed late that afternoon. Trimings were left scattered around my front yard and I had to repeatedly ask to have it removed over several days. Also - while they were performing the work - the AC line was cut. I had it repaired ($120 for the service call and repair) and then asked them for reimbursement. They denied that it was cut and asked me for a receipt. I provided the receipt and it took them almost 2 weeks to finally agree that they were responsible. He wanted to "split" the costs. I disagreed and this turned into an argument in my back yard. He then said he could pay me half now and the other half "after the first of the year". I had to follow him to an AMSCOT office to get paid - and afterwards I was so tired of dealing with this guy I told him to just keep the rest of the money. Poor work, unprofessional service and very very slow to respond requiring constant calls and follow up to get any type of service.

They stopped by and asked if we needed the trees trimmed (which we did). They completed the job at that time and hauled away the trash. They have checked back to see how we liked the results and to see if we needed anything additional.
Description of Work: Trimed trees and hauled away excess and some other yard trash. Very nice results and professional crew. Would hire again!
