I was asked for my zip code and discriminated against because I don’t live in Windermere! I complained 2 times about a service in 9 YEARS and was told they no longer want my business! If my zip code was different and my home was bigger, I’m sure this wouldn’t have been an issue and I would still be a customer. I became a customer in 2012 when Lynn and partner first started the business and they were the ones doing the calling to do business with ME! Jump to 2021 and I’ve complained twice about one minor thing and one major issue. Now they can’t please me, really, after 9 YEARS of being a customer. This company needs to look at their discrimination policy and fire Alex, he’s going to be your downfall. He has poor customer service! Thanks for your $85 refund The Maids of Orlando! Staff arrived promptly as promised. They were very very nice, very courteous, very friendly, very personable. I really enjoyed having them in my home. I think only the leader spoke English and I don't speak Spanish but that was not a hindrance. However, the work was not thorough. I've posted pictures of dirt left behind. The dirt was not in hidden areas behind furniture that would have had to be moved. It was on exposed walls, doors, in the middle of floors. There were clumps of wet animal hair that was not picked up after mopping, some pellets of dog food left in the middle of the carpet. I had pointed out an area on a wall that needed attention. When they were close to leaving I noticed that area was not cleaned. I showed them how a magic eraser did a good job there so they used my magic eraser to scrub away at it. Almost of greatest concern was that they did not put back one thing in the place where they found it. I don't mean they moved it a few inches. If we had something on a bottom shelf it was put on a top shelf; if we had something on one side of the bathroom it was put on the opposite side. I got in the tub and had to get out to get my shampoo, razor, brush. We spent hours finding stuff and putting it back in its place. What's worse, the next day I called to mention these problem areas and there was no attempt to take responsibility, much less refund any money. I dealt with a woman named Valerie. She repeatedly used as an excuse that move-out cleanings are typically done in an empty house, even though I had told her many times the house was not empty. She also used as an excuse that they didn't have enough time to do a proper job. When I first contracted with her I told her to try to keep it under 2 hours as that alone would be $330 but that if it needed more time they should ask me. No one asked me to stay longer. She did offer to send the crew back again but I had to get ready for the picture-taking and I had already picked up the dirt left behind after mopping and vacuuming and I had already scrubbed the walls and doors that were left dirty. All in all, it's a shame that such nice people did not do a better job and I will never hire this company again.

Thank you for your review and feedback, it is greatly appreciated. The amount of dust and pet hair levels in the home was extreme. There were 5 cats and 3 dogs residing in the home, for many years. As the team cleaned, balls of hair just kept appearing and falling from everywhere. It was impossible to remove all of the hair and dust with the amount of boxes, items, and heavy furniture throughout the home. This clean was capped at 2 hours per member request. The ladies are trained to not go over if a client wants to cap their clean due to financial reasons. The team did work very hard trying to work their magic to make the home look as clean as possible. They did the best possible in the 2 hours given. Re-cleans are usually not offered when cleans are capped as we can't be accountable for cleaning to our standard when given insufficient time. We did offer to go back do a re-clean to try to make the member happy. Our offer was declined. We are sorry that this member was not happy.

I can't say enough about the great experience we had with The Maids! A different company bailed out on the job with 48 hours notice and when we contacted The Maids, they were happy to schedule the work for the exact same appointment time! The work was performed on time and the house looked amazing when they were finished. Our landlord didn't deserve the outstanding level of service received and we could hardly believe it was the same house after! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Maids and they will be the first company we call in the future. (A note on the price: we have a German Shepard and two cats and left a mess of a house that we made no effort to prepare for cleaning. It came in a little higher than the estimate but was extremely reasonable for the amount of work they did and the end result!)

There were lots of area in the kitchen which weren't cleaned well. I found visible stains in cabinet drawers, pantry closet, small items left by the previous owner in the pantry, hair in the fridge (inside) and cabinet shelves. Master bathroom's glass door and shower system were cleaned just okay. You could still see lots of hard water stains. Bathroom and kitchen counters were clean. Just the overall spot free clean that I was expecting wasn't there.

I recently hired ?The Maids? to do a cleanup on the house I recently had purchased and had also painted on the inside. When I called, I gave specifics as to what I wanted done. All cabinets cleaned inside and out including the Laundry room, Kitchen. I added the cabinets in the garage when the crew arrived, but mentioned I had already cleaned the tops. The tops of all cabinets as listed above. The refrigerator also cleaned on the inside. The Master bathroom which had a buildup of scum and dirt. Clean all floors General cleaning of the house. The lady taking the call said they could do all of that, and it would take between 3-3.5 hours and cost around $500 +. I emphasized that I was especially concerned about the cabinets, and the tops of the cabinets, the refrigerator and the bathrooms, especially the buildup in the master bath. I also mentioned that the house was pretty clean already except the bathrooms, and kitchen cabinets, because it was just painted (the week before). She assured me they could handle it, and that they had a backpack vacuum to get to the tops of the cabinets, I failed to catch that vacuuming would be all they would do as this wasn?t mentioned and no mention of not being able to use ladders or stepstools. She mentioned several things that they standardly did, but not normally the refrigerator unless requested. I told her that the refrigerator had very little in it and I did want it cleaned. She also told me that each team member had a certain procedure and duties to perform and they would make sure the house was clean. One comment in particular was the cleaning of the base boards, to which I said that wouldn?t be necessary as they were just painted, and I would rather they concentrate on the other things like the cabinets. After some discussion she said she would take care of it. (It was not taken care of and the lady with the vacuum proceeded to vacuum all base boards upon arrival.) With the good recommendations from many Angie?s list members, I decided to hire them. The ?Green ?team showed up about 1 pm by my observation and went right to work. I again went over the main things of concern with the leader Juana, including but not limited to the tops of the cabinets, the refrigerator and the master bath. It was then that I found out the crew was not allowed to climb a ladder, something that would be necessary to get to the tops of the cabinets to do more than just vacuum dust. Although I did not watch them continuously, they appeared to work very hard and diligently for the next 3+ hours. At the end I was asked to inspect their work and did a cursory inspection, I also asked at that time if the tops of the cabinets had been cleaned and was assured by the Leader, Juana, they had. Although I had not seen anyone even with the vacuum extension, I didn?t inspect to see if it was done at that time. I did tell Juana that the master bath was not clean, she and the other 4 immediately went in and worked for about 15 minutes and made fairly good progress before telling me that was the best they could do. The bathroom was not cleaned as I expected, but since they said that was the best they could do, I let it go with the intention of calling the company to express my dissatisfaction. After they left, I also inspected the tops of the cabinets and found them to be in the same condition as they were when I was informed by the painting crew that they were pretty dirty. I cannot say that nothing was done as the grease on the kitchen cabinets held on to the dust, but the laundry room was not touched on top of the cabinets because I was able to vacuum that dust up and with a little Windex was able to completely clean the tops. The next day I went to Home Depot and got some cleaner for the top of the cabinets, to do the bathroom. My wife also found 2 drawers and a cabinet not cleaned. After cleaning a section of the shower floor for a few minutes and finding that it could be cleaned better, I decided I would call the office which I did the following Monday. I talked to the owner Lynn Ronan about the situation, she confirmed that the crew was not allowed to climb ladders but could use the extension vacuum to clean the tops of the cabinets. The excuse she gave for the bathroom was that they use environmentally safe products, and that with the pumice stone and cleaner her crew is unable to get up the hard water deposits, like I did. I have since tried an environmentally safe product as well and found it can be cleaned to a satisfactory condition with some elbow grease and the right product, a job I will tackle when I move in. During this conversation, I was asked several times what could be done to satisfy me. On the third time I was ask, I answered some monetary compensation would be acceptable. When asked how much, I answered ?Whatever you think appropriate?. She said she would talk to her husband and get back to me. When she did get back to me the answer was her crew had spent ?3 hours and 45 minutes? cleaning and would not be compensating me. I chuckled because in the meantime when I mentioned to my wife the times listed on the time sheet was they arrived at 12:39 she stated she wishes she was there when I signed because she would refuse to sign, she had logged in her iPhone that they had arrived at 1 pm. The difference being about 20 minutes( aprx $50). When I mentioned this to Mrs. Ronan she said that her crew would not falsify time. I concluded it would not do any good to question this further. I didn?t bother to mention I also thought the crew arrived around 1, but I hadn?t marked it down so I hadn?t brought it up earlier, my wife only confirmed what I thought, after the fact. In hind sight the crew apparently left their last job about 20-25 min before they arrived at my house according to Mrs. Ronan, which means they also didn?t stop for lunch or had a very short one since they didn?t eat before they left my house around 4:20 or so. In hiring a professional cleaning crew, I would expect that they would know what to expect in cleaning a kitchen, (grease) , would be able to use common tools ( a ladder or stepstool) to get to higher areas and to clean scum and hard water stains which would be expected in a bathroom shower. I will also mention that the crew was able to climb on my counters to clean the upper shelves without a step stool? a much more dangerous situation than using the proper tool, a ladder. I don?t know of anyone, except some basketball players that could clean the top 2 shelves in a cabinet, much less the top of the cabinets without some aide of at least a step stool even to climb on a counter. So how did the crew member get on top of my counter to clean the top shelves on the inside? I would also expect to be informed at the time of making the cleaning appointment if any of the things I mentioned as my concerns could not be handled as one might expect, so that I could hire someone else that could handle the job as I wanted rather than make excuses after the fact of why it wasn't done properly. I do not blame the ladies cleaning as they worked hard with the tools or lack of tools they had been given. The owners and management are responsible for the lack of proper tools, and training to do standard house cleaning functions. Insurance is available to allow employees on step stools and ladders; painters, roofers, and carpenters do it all the time.

We are sorry this member was not happy with our service. We do have some material differences with the facts contained in this member's review. The member was told that we don't use ladders and that we would be using extensions on our vacuums to reach the tops of the cabinets. In fact the member measured the height and told us it was approximately 11 foot so we could make sure our extensions were long enough to reach the tops of the cabinets. We were also told that the buildup in the master bath was soap scum and we said we could clean that. In fact, the build up was mineral in nature and we were unable to remove it with our environmentally safe products. Products that can remove mineral build up are available but we don't use them our of concern for our employee's health, the heath of the home owners, and for the damage these products can do to finishes. We did miss cleaning 2 drawers and a cabinet which we offered to come back by to clean at no charge. Regarding the time the member was charged for, we charge from the time we arrive at the members home until we finish cleaning. The starting time is the time we turn the car off in the member's drive way and start unloading the equipment and supplies that will be used in the home. We are used to customer's tracking our time since that is how we charge and this is the first time it has been inferred that the times are not accurate. If it was our practice to fudge times we would not have excellent reviews from the majority of the Angie's List Members we clean for.

I am very pleased with the service. It was a little hard to get a commitment on the time that they were coming, I had to request the information when I scheduled and I had to follow up with an email in order to get the time, which was given only one day prior to the job. I was flexible with the times and it wasn't a problem, but I thought I should have been able to know a little earlier, thus the "B" for that one element. When I spoke to the managers they were always polite, helpful and friendly and listened to my situation and helped make sure I got what I needed from the job
Description of Work: They showed up exactly when they said they would. The house was a little large for the 8 hr package and at the end of the cleaning they said they didn't quite get to the floors and I paid an extra 15 minutes to get the floors done. It was worth it and was consistent with the priorities I set when I walked to job with the leader of the team. Everything was done well and I would use them again.

I've been using The Maids of Orlando for 4 years and I have had a good experience each time. The office team has worked with me to schedule the cleaning and so far, they've been able to accommodate me when I've had appointments scheduled on the cleaning day. The Maids have always arrived on time. Four maids come, they get right to work and and get the house clean in about one hour. The few times they've thought they broke something, they've told me and it's never been a real issue... like something that was already broken. I love having a clean house! I am very grateful for the team that services our home! The Maids and the office team are all courteous and pleasant to work with. I do (and have) recommend the Maids.

I had such high hopes for this company, located in my own town of Winter Garden. They were quick to send someone out to do a visual inspection of my home to provide me an accurate quote. I was very pleased with the model that they presented, and while the cost seemed a bit high, I felt that it was good value given that were sending a 4 person cleaning crew to clean for one hour. After this initial positive impression, things started to go south. To start, they scheduled my first cleaning for a holiday (Labor Day). I didn't realize at the time that it was a holiday. So when I didn't hear from them, I called the Friday before the Monday appointment only to learn that they themselves had just caught the mistake. When the appointment was rescheduled via email, it was slated for time that was not convenient for me. I have an infant who naps a total of 2.5 hours a day, and I asked that they not come during those hours. I expressed to the scheduler that in a couple of months, our schedule would open up more. So, albeit the morning of the appointment, I asked for them to schedule me for another time, which they said they could do. Only a few hours later, however, they called back and cancelled that appointment. So, if you're counting, they have now cancelled on me twice. This morning, I called to see if we could finally coordinate a time that worked with both of our schedules and I was told that the company had decided not to take my account because of excessive canceling and limited availability of time. So, from what I can gather, they are not a family-friendly company, willing to work with you if you have children on a schedule. You had better be able to fit into their schedule or they are not interested in doing business with you. Very disappointing.

We are sorry that this member is unhappy with our decision not to do business with her. We have been talking with this member since early August trying to accommodate her needs. She negotiated a low price in which we were going to be lucky to break even on her cleans. In mid- August we scheduled the first clean on Sept 7th per her request no realizing it was Labor day. The week before the clean Ms. [Member name removed] contacted us about the clean and agreed to cancel that day. On Friday September 18th we called and spoke to this member and confirmed that we would clean her home on Monday September 21st at 10 AM. Monday morning this member called and canceled the clean due to fact that her baby takes a nap between 10 AM and 11:30 AM. That left us with 4 people that we have to pay while they do nothing for 1.5 hours (includes cleaning and drive time). Given that this relationship was starting with us losing money and a small prospect of making that money back we decided to minimize our losses by ending the relationship.

The owner came with the maids because she was training a new Office Manager. They came early, which was great. How comes early anymore? I stayed outside because I have 2 small dogs. When they were finished, the LEAD maid told me to inspect what they had done. The only problem was is that I was not sure what they did and what they did not due. There should be a list . Maybe they are not allowed to move heavy furniture.. They did a wonderful job but did not clean very well behind furniture - this might be because they are not supossed to be moving furniture. Also my kitchen cabinets were not wiped down. But every corner of the floor was perfect. That is what I needed done the most. The dusting/vacuuming job was perfect So my only suggestion would be provide the customer with a list of things they cannot due.

I'd give them an A on their work and customer service. They are a little pricey but everything else was good. I would probably use hem again but I would shop around first. They did a good job and were customer friendly but expensive cleaning up a 1500sq foot room with no furniture.
