Arthur Knapp (owner) contacted me immediately after there was a miscommunication about the repair of a major leak over my patio. Arthur did a full roof inspection, including pictures, diagrams of the leak areas and water damage around my fireplace chimney as well as over my kitchen. Work was completed quickly and included a custom built metal chimney cap. It took less than a week to complete all the estimated work. Every time they worked on the repair, Arthur sent pictures and kept me updated on the status of the repair. Though there has only been one night that it has rained since the repair was completed, the area of the leak appears to be dry and well fortified. There is no trace that there was any damage in the area and after the work was complete the work area was cleaner than it was before the work started. Except for the newness of the chimney cap and boots, the repair area blends with the rest of the roof. Arthur and his team exceeded my expectations of the resolve of what would be considered a major leak! Therefore, I will definitely use Stratus Roofing for my future roofing needs, will recommend them to my family and friends as well as Angie's list members!

We had a terrible leak around the chimney. We received several quotes and decided to go with Stratus. I am so glad we did. They were very professional and started working on our roof right away. After a couple of rainfalls we found that we not only needed the back of our roof done but also the chimney itself had a major leak and needed to be rebuilt. Arthur went out of his way to find the solution to our problem and once again started working on our chimney. He did all this within the original price quote. Thanks to Arthur and his team our chimney does not leak anymore. When Arthur says he is married to his work, he really does mean it. I am so glad we chose Stratus.

From start to finish Arthur, Scott and Ryan were terrific to work with! Extremely responsive. Signed on a Friday and they finished the next Thursday. Left the job site like they' d never been there and the quality of the job exceeded my expectations. The new roof really looks great!

They responded quickly when I called to schedule them to come out. Arthur, one of the owners, did the inspection himself and explained what the problem was. He advised me to go back to the original installer and ask them to repair it at no cost since the biggest problem was from incorrect installation on their part. I couldn't find or recall the name of the original installer so I ask Stratus to go ahead and do the repair. I provided specific dates when I wanted them to do the repair so I would be able to be home. We scheduled the appointment and I was home on that day. When they didn't show up, I called and was informed they had been out already and it was fixed earlier than planned. I was glad it was fixed but was a little frustrated that they had not called to let me know it was already fixed and I had waited at home all day. I asked Arthur to come back over so he could explain exactly what was done and provide photographs of the work. He did so in a couple of days. Along with the photographs of the roof, he provided an assessment of the condition of the roof. I'm happy to know I will have no more leaks!

Stratus Constructions gave me a great estimate for what I though at first was be a repair of a leak and ended in a new roof. They came before the scheduled date to start the work and consequently ended the job earlier than scheduled. They were very courteous and professionals. They cleaned everything after they finished the work and they came the next day to pick up the trash and the check. I am happy I chose them to perform the work.

Purchased deal on Angie's list after noticing some water spots in garage ceiling. Received text message within an hour from Stratus Construction requesting a meeting to discuss job. Met the following day and was impressed by how courteous and professional the owners were. Work was performed when they said it would be done and I am completely satisfied with what they did. I would definitely use this company again and would highly recommend them to friends and neighbors.

Arthur showed us a quality roofing shingle product and gave us options. We picked the color of the shingles and he got the roofing permit right away and it was completed in less than 3 days for our 2-story home--and this has saved us from any further major damage from all the rains. The color of the roof looks even better than in the pictures! We are very pleased with Stratus Construction. Arthur Knapp was very pleasant to work with.

every worker was pleasant,worked hard cleaned up after themselves for 3 nights.Even worked through bad rain storms.Had a couple vent leaks the Owners came out to fix them on a Sunday morning 8/30/15.One is fixed need the other one looked at again.I'm sure there will be no problems.I will highly recommend them.

Everything went extraordinarily well. Ryan and his teams are competent, courteous, punctual, do what they say they will do, have integrity and professionalism. I recommend Stratus Construction without reservation. Ryan also bought Kilz and sprayed all my dark brown leak spots in my master bedroom--now the ceiling is pristine, beautiful, and looks like I never had a leak! I ordered this service because I had a leak in garage. When the service agent got to the house he inspected the area in question as requested. He did not find any evidence of a leak where I originally thought the leak was coming from but did notice a gap in the seam where a fabricated beam connects to the side of the house. Even though there was not a leak in the roof itself, he offered to seal the gap without any additional charge. But what was most impressive, he went to the hardware store himself to gather the necessary caulking material needed to perform the job on the stucco siding. I was extremely please with his professionalism and willingness to resolve my issue!

The office manager was quick to answer our call and she was certainly friendly and courteous. Arthur Knapp came out that same day to take a look at our roof. His team came back the very next day to complete the repairs, which were pretty extensive (had to remove damaged shingles, repair the decking and trusses, then cover the new decking with a weather blocking membrane priot to replacing all of the shingles). We were super happy with the work they did! The other contractor we called (despite being highly rated out here on Angie's List) couldn't even commit to coming to give us an estimate until the following week. Given that the leak was pretty bad and we've been having significant rainfall each day, we were quite appreciative of the fact that the team at Stratus Construction could juggle some things around to get our roof fixed so quickly. They did a great job, tidied up after themselves, and checked back in later that day to make sure we were happy with their work. I guess I feel guilty giving them a 'B' on the price. It did seem a bit high though as compared to the price for similar roof repair work we had done in northern Virginia when we lived there.

Everything went very well. The crew showed up earlier than expected and started working right away. They cleaned as worked. The guys were professional and worked the entire time. I would highly recommend Stratus Construction to anyone needing work on their home.

It all happened so fast my head is still spinning........ many hands make light work, - even on a hot roof and a hot day. This crew was hardy and needs to be highly commended for their strength and stamina in hot weather. They replaced 26 square of shingles with extensive roof-decking repairs included in the time promised - 24hours. That's what I want. VERY impressive !

Very professional & upfront.

Stratus Construction did a full roof inspection. Not only did they replace shingles and repair leaks, they kindly repaired the sheetrock damage within my home. This would have been an additional expense with other companies. Stratus contacted me immediately (less than 24 hours) after my inquiry and were extremely professional, kind and punctual. Other companies were quoting full roof replacement however Stratus was completely transparent and honest. I will definitely use them again and refer them to all!

It couldn't have gone better. They were very professiona,efficient. on time and did an amazing job for a very competitive rate. Having hired a handyman service a few months before, the difference in the quality of their work & their professionalism was far better. I would definitely choose them again.
