We were so very impressed with Kevin and all of the contractors with South Shore. I can't say enough complimentary words that would fully explain how happy we are with the process and moreso, the outcome. Through the entire project, which did go longer than expected due to an unexpected load-bearing wall, Kevin was in constant communication. The contractors were polite, punctual, and cleaned up their mess when they left each day. We had the worst time finding a good contractor. We had people no-show for consultations. Never get a quote to us. Take 2 months to get a quote to us when they said it would take 2 weeks. We experienced price gauged quotes that would make you laugh. Not with South Shore. Kevin got us a thorough, timely quote that was itemized and fair-priced. He provided contacts to us for our materials because he knew who to send us to in order to get the best deal. I can see why people dislike remodeling projects. They are a disruption. Workers come and going, not being able to walk through your house without someone being where you need to be. It is expensive and messy. BUT....the end result will leave you with the home or room of your dreams. And what better way to achieve that end goal than with a dependable contractor that does professional and quality work and communicates with you every step of the way? Go with South Shore. They're your contractor.

They were very, very good, I’d give them at least a 4 or a 5. They were excellent. The service - they were fast. They weren’t just fast, they were thorough and that’s the big thing. They came in and we had some suggestions, and they said, “okay, this is what can work I this area!” We said, “alright, we’ll go with that!” What they did for us is, they did an appliance thing. They came in and did that. They came from a long ways away. They were awesome. They beat prices they had to deal with. It was just a basic install, but loved the appliances that they installed. They were in and out in less than an hour actually. They were really good I highly recommend them. The pricing was expensive, but then too we did order good stuff. I would say an “A” for price because we got good stuff. These guys were there a half hour before they said they would be. They were done a half hour before. They did a great job. They did a real bang up job.

Project was completed in a professional and timely manner

Kevin and his crew are the most competent and professional group that I have ever worked with. Kevin is very professional and easy to work with. His crews are the same. All of the work performed was done with great attention to detail. When a problem occurred (they always do with old house projects) Kevin sent a light man that went out of his way to help me decide what to do. The result was that I was delighted with the outcome. Everyone (demo,plaster, tile,plumbing,electricians,painters,shower door install) provided quality work and cleaned up as they went. I couldn't be more pleases. I had some delays because of the special order tile that I ordered, and as soon as it was in, Kevin worked me into his schedule. South Shore Construction is the best. I plan on using South Shore Construction's services again.

South Shore Construction did an excellent job from start to finish. We are very happy with the outcome, the professionalism and the quality of the work that was performed by them. We highly recommend them to everyone who wants an enjoyable experience with their home renovation with an outcome that will be beautiful and stress free. On a scale of 1 to 10, we would rate them a 20!!

This service was fantastic. Currently still looking to see if we can finance the project, however, Kevin has stayed in contact and has even allowed us to save, with things we can do on our own.

Kevin at South Shore Construction was very thorough in the planning and execution of the remodel of my kitchen. He let me know in advance what the plan was, patiently answered all of my questions, let me know what I was responsible for and what he was responsible for. He is very detail-oriented and holds his subs to high standards. He worked with me to make sure that I was satisfied with the design, décor and materials before we pulled the trigger on any spending. The finished kitchen is spectacular and I am so happy with the end results. I've used Kevin before to remodel my master shower. Next spring we will be remodeling the rest of the master bath and the guest bath as well. I'll be calling Kevin again because I know I can trust him.

Where to begin? Kevin Morrison and every single top-notch professional tradesman who worked on my project went above and beyond while completing this large remodel and repair of my downstairs. Kevin was one of three companies I contacted for an estimate. The first company came out and promised to send me a proposal and I never heard from him again. The second never responded to my email asking for an appt. And then there was South Shore Construction who not only answered my request quickly but came out to the house within the week. What initially impressed me was everyone's approachability and the fact that even tho my job was small in comparison to the type of jobs he normally works on, he made me feel that my work was just as important as all his projects. After the initial consult, he provided me with a detailed estimate within a week as he had promised. This was my first remodeling experience so I was anxious. We talked by phone and in person to go over questions and adjustments. Once we decided to do business with each other, he worked within my schedule to start the tear out and remodeling process. Because of the scope and some minor ordering backlogs, the job took four weeks. During those weeks, his crew always arrived when we had agreed upon, explaining what to expect and educating me on what they needed to do and why, making suggestions, allowing me to go pick out my flooring, countertops, and backsplash at their suppliers, and bringing cabinet samples to my home for selection. Kevin also made the time to make site visits to my house periodically to ensure the job was going to his satisfaction and mine. He is a perfectionist and has many years experience in hands on construction projects. There were times I needed to talk with him and every single time I called or emailed, he responded to me on the same day. They all were so considerate of me and my family during the inconvenience of not having a kitchen or downstairs bathrooms for a time. All the crew worked together like a well-oiled machine and we also became friends and had a lot of laughs throughout the process. The result of their hard, professional work is an absolutely beautiful, serene, and functional new downstairs living space. I could not be any happier with the results and absolutely would work with them again. I give South Shore Construction my highest recommendation.

We have two homes: our primary residence in Atlanta, and a vacation home in Windermere, FL. Both were built in the 1920s. Over a period of 30 years we worked with different contractors in Atlanta on kitchen, bath, and attic renovations. These were all separate projects. In Windermere, we are remodeling the entire house. Although it is relatively small (three bedrooms and three baths), this is a big project with many details, and some complex situations. Selection of the "right" contractor was essential, and we found him, thanks to Angie's List! Kevin Morrison is wonderful. First and foremost, he is a great communicator. We were in Atlanta while the major work was being done (the kitchen and master bath renovation, painting, etc.) Kevin kept us completely informed. We had a multitude of questions, which he always answered promptly and thoroughly, mainly via e-mail. He was very patient with us during the entire process. Kevin is a "hands-on" contractor, who really sweats the details! He works with an excellent group of subcontractors (painters, electricians, plumbers, etc.), but he is definitely in charge, and personally involved in every aspect of our project. He has a highly experienced, practical, and cost-effective approach to solving problems. There were many on this job! Despite the complexities, all of Kevin's work was completed in a timely manner. The only major delays involved the installation of the kitchen cabinets. That job was contracted separately, with a local cabinet company. Kevin did his best to speed up the process. We are very pleased with Kevin's work on our home, and highly recommend South Shore Construction Services.

The owner was very professional and helpful. However, the people who actually did the work- with the exception of the plumber and electrician- were always late and often did not show up until late afternoon,. They were careless about securing the house- once left the front door unlocked without using the lock box and another time left the key to the lock box actually sticking out on the front door. The workers were messy and made no attempt to cover or even close the door to the area being renovated. The result was a house full of construction dust which has taken the last ten months and another $2,000.00 to fix and has created horrible allergic reactions. Don't think I would do it again.

Kevin was very friendly and easy to work with. The workers were on time and respectful. The quality of work was excellent. When there was an issue he answered the call right away and fixed it in a timely manner.

Kevin retiled our hallway bathroom and fixed a rust hole in the tub as well as remodeled our master shower. Our hallway bathroom grout had been poorly done by the previous owners of the house so he took all the tile down and redid it and grouted. Also, he fixed a rust hole in the tub. Our master bathroom was a garden tub with sliding doors over it and the shower head didn't work. He took everything out, retiled the shower and put up beautiful glass around it. Now our shower is huge and wonderful! The hallway bathroom took about two days and the master shower took about three weeks after we got the permit including the inspector and glass guy who came and measured. Kevin was wonderful and pretty flexible as we had just bought a new house, moved and we actually brought home our newborn! He called if there were going to be changes in when his workers would show up and was actually at the house a lot even when he wasn't working himself to oversee how the project was going. Also, since we had just moved in we had a few other little things and he was able to assist in those as well: fixing a damaged decal on the outside of the house, retiling the washer/dryer room, hanging a chandelier from our high ceiling and hooking up our dishwasher.

Kevin personally did the work. He was very detail-oriented, efficient with his time, respectful of my time, and incredibly trustworthy. If you want a provider you can depend on to get the job done right, South Shore is worth every penny.

Kevin from Southshore Construction is such a professional and made the remodel go as smooth as possible. He was always on time and considerate of our schedule. He gave us an almost daily overview of what was being done, by whom and when it was to be completed. The projects he was responsible for were always done exactly on time. He would let us know if problems or issues came up but would always have a solution for us so there was never something to be concerned about during the remodel. The subcontractors he brought in were equally professional and considerate. I believe Kevin went above and beyond many times helping us fix certain issues that were outside of his responsibility. We are extremely pleased with the end result. The work and final product exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend working with Southshore Construction Services. In the future if we have another home remodel project we will definitely work with Southshore Construction Services again.

Kevin from South Shore Constructions Services is an awesome contractor. He and his contractors present themselves in the utmost professional manner. They were always punctual and kept to the original timeline. Kevin is a bit of a "perfectionist", if it does not pass HIS inspection it will be re-done until it does. He is always available for any questions and makes sure he keeps the lines of communication open. He explains the progress daily and makes sure everyone is on the same page.
