JP Trees & landscaping LLC

I texted JP Trees & landscaping LLC with a request to trim my neighbors tree and included a photo. Within the hour a representative from JP Trees shows up totally unannounced and proceeds to grill my wife on what work we would like to have done. Unprepared for the surprise visit, my wife attempts to explain what work we need done but John was not clear on her direction and so she suggested he give me a call to discuss. Instead, John proceeds to tell her that he does not work this way (being texted instead of calling him first), my bad!? He then abruptly left with no interest in the job. My wife contacted me telling me of the event so I immediately reached out to John to discuss the incident. John was very rude from the beginning of the conversation and again reminded me that he prefers a phone call versus a text before initiating services as he likes to build a relationship with his client. (Good luck with That!) I then asked John that if he didn't conduct business via text then why did he show up to my home without either texting or calling. He became more irate an hung up. I called him back to let him know that I will be writing this review then contacting local law enforcement to file a compliant. Proceed with caution before contacting this company! NUTS!

Called and the person answering the phone said they do not service Lake County. Yet, they list Lake County on their Angie's List description. I rely on the accuracy of Angie's List service areas to find vendors. Please don't waste my time calling if you don't service my area. Giving them a C for not completely true advertising. Update your Angie's List listing and I will retract. M-

I contacted the company for a quote. They responded promptly, quoted the service requested. They showed up promptly on service date, went over the details with me, answered my question and went to work. After work was done we went over the work preformed confirming that all was done to my satisfaction. The trimming, the cleaning all was done very neatly, correctly and professional.

Not the most cost effective, but everything else great. Outstanding communication, responsiveness and end result!

They were awesome. The price was good. It was a lot better than anybody else. They were quick and did it safely. There were no problems.

Recently I had to have a lot of treework done at my mother's house and we already had an estimate from someone else but I had John do an estimate and talk to me about the trees. He spent about an hour walking around the property showing me plants that were good to save ( I thought they were weeds) telling me where the flowering trees should be trimmed, explaining that some of the trees I was going to take down because they were also under wires would be taken care of by the city, so I didn't have to spend the extra money. He's very informative, friendly and honest. Unfortunately I went with the cheaper estimate. I spent time with this guy telling him to do the things John had suggested. He totally ignored my directions and butchered the trees. I cried when I saw what was done to my mom's trees. I will never use anyone other than JP Trees.

Overall John?s attention to detail was great. He removed 2 large trees and insured the property was properly cleaned up.

This company removed stumps and trees from my property because we had termites. He was suppose to remove the tree roots but did not remove them completely since they started growing back later.
