First Impressions Carpet Tile & Oriental Rug

The first visit went well. The carpets were well cleaned and the staff were punctual and professional. The also took with them the two lambskin rugs for cleaning and upon return, the carpets looked great. The next visit, a man arrived on time for the tile grout cleaning in my living room. He immediately put me on the defensive about not having prepared for the visit by moving furniture out of the way. No one had recommended this & I've had 4 back surgeries, so I was taken aback. But since he indicated that moving the TV and small media cabinet were not part of his responsibility, I said I would move whatever might be necessary so that he could clean the darkened grout under and around the TV & cabinet. (The grout had darkened from water leaking into it from a big ficus tree in the living room.) In the end, he and I moved whatever needed moving and some of the darkened grout lightened after the cleaning. But it wasn't substantantially improved so I felt the $500 or so job had not been worth the money. And worse, I later discovered that the powder room toilet had been used but not flushed. He had been the only man in the house so it must have been him and I was grossed out. It was no 1, not 2 thank God, but still. Weeks later, I suggested by email that the owner might want to do a survey after big jobs, like this, but he understood that I meant by phone (whereas I meant by email), and he just insisted that he had called to follow up. So I never got a chance to tell him what had happened during the visit. One doesn't always have the time for an immediate phone call to provide feedback. But an emailed survey or request for feedback can be done in one's leisure.

Aaron arrived at 1:30--right on time. He brought in all equipment through the garage and the kitchen as requested. There were 5 steps to the cleaning starting with a vaccuuming and then a light spraying of pre-treating liquid. He finished with a "combing" of the clean carpet. We have used this company since June 2000, but this is the first time I actually watched as he worked and explained each step to me. He left me show covers and the carpet was finished drying the next afternoon. The office called me the next day (today) to get my assessment of the work which was done. I would highly reccommend this company to anyone without reservation.

Our service man was very personable and professional. He explained everything and he went and worked very hard. The tile is much much cleaner, more the grout is much much cleaner.

I contacted the provider several times about dropping off my rugs and they were always quick to respond. I finally made it over and they checked out all the rugs, talked to me about the history and their services. They cleaned all three rugs, which now are very beautiful and vibrant. They also used enzyme treatment on all rugs because I have four pets. The rugs do not smell, and the colors (mostly reds) remain quite beautiful. I also opted to purchase high-quality rug pads for all three of the rugs. They belonged to my parents, and I want to ensure that they remain in good shape. I found the rug pads to be high quality. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. I will certainly recommend them to friends and I will return as a customer in the future.

Excellent service and results!! Andrew, our technician,arrived on time and was very professional. He measured all areas to be cleaned and advised of the price prior to starting work. He thoroughly vacuumed all of the carpet prior to cleaning. He steam cleaned the tile and grout in bathrooms, kitchen, laundry room and foyer. He also applied carpet protector to the carpeted areas. Before he left, he reviewed the invoice and gave us an information package. I received a follow-up call the next day from Kim to see how everything was. We were very pleased with the results and will definitely use First Impressions again!

Dropped off my area rug with Kurt and he said it should be ready in about a week. It was ready within 5 days! So earlier than expected! Looks good, smells good. Bought an Angies List coupon for the cleaning of an area rug. Very pleased. Will use them again!

Excellent company. This is the third time we have used them. Two times for carpet and once for the floor tile. Each time we were very satisfied with their work and professionalism. They will be our carpet and tile cleaners.

This is the second time we've used First Impressions. Making an appointment was quick and easy by just calling their number and setting a date. The day prior to the service, we moved all the items (furniture, knick knacks, lamps, etc.) from the carpet we could. Andrew arrived at the scheduled appointment time. He was efficient, detailed, and responsive to questions. He was knowledgeable and offered suggestions. I believe it took him 2 - 3 hours to do carpeting in the living room, dining room, den, guest bedroom and closet, and master bedroom and closet, about 689 sq ft. Andrew was thorough and moved about the house as if he was the one living here. After completing the carpeting in the house, Andrew took three Oriental rugs back to the shop where they were to be cleaned. I was to pick them up about a week later. When the Oriental rugs were finished, I received a call and made arrangements to pick up the rugs at their shop in Winter Garden (this saved some cost as there was an additional charge to deliver the rugs). When we checked the Oriental rugs, especially one which had an issue with the direction of the nape in one spot on the rug prior to it being cleaned, we discovered the issue with the nape was still visible but smaller in size. However, there was also a second spot with the nape that was not present prior to the cleaning. We spoke to Kurt, who was out of the office, about it over the phone from his shop, and he explained the issue. He offered to try and re-clean the rug however, because we had an issue with the nape before it was cleaned, we did not have him re-clean the rug. Overall, we were very satisfied with the cleaning. It took about a full day for the carpets to dry enough to replace the items removed from the carpeting. A protective solution was applied to the carpet for an additional cost (but is included in the approximate cost listed above). We have asked Kurt to send us a reminder in a year to see if we need to have our carpets cleaned. It is usually recommended to have carpets cleaned every 6 months or year to keep them looking and wearing well.

Rug looks like new, cut pad to fit and delivered and laid it all back down. All in time for Thanksgiving looks great. Got out any stains that were on the rug.

The grout and tile came out perfect... Ken was a pleasure to deal with.... Will use them again..

They are a top notch company. Family owned and operated, which I use whenever possible. The personal service was outstanding before the cleaning date. The technician was exactly on time, neat, clean, in uniform, well spoken and I could tell he knew what he was doing. He got to work immediately and worked straight through. The results of the cleaning were outstanding (on older carpet no less). Pricing was probably a little higher than a "coupon special", but I was looking for quality and service. That's exactly what I got. I will recommend to anyone who is looking for a quality job from good people.

Went well considering where their located. They should have an office in a nearby location this way you wouldn't have to pay for toll both ways. Other than that they were here on time expressed when they would return, very good customer service.

Everything proceeded as promised. They did exactly what they promised and we were very satisfied.

They were excellent but alittle pricey comparatively speaking to others we have used. We will use them again because of their quality of service.

They had difficulty getting a stain out of one rug and they kept the rug for over 2 months. When the rug was returned, (worth about $1000.00) it was quite faded and the stain never came out. They did not charge us for the other rugs. But that rug has never been the same.

Owners were very professional and accommodating. The rug had some pet odors and those were eliminated. I was very pleased with my experience with First Impressions.

I always had excellent service when they cleaned my carpets, but have recently had a few issues with the owner Kim. I had called and really needed my carpets cleaned. We had a relationship, as we had used them for years and I asked Kim if they were running any specials, which they weren't. I explained I had just become an Angie's List member and asked if I could use the Angie's List discount. It doesn't indicate on her advertisement within the magazine that it's for first time users. She got rude with me, and told me it had been 6 months since I've had my carpets cleaned and started to act really pushy about going ahead and getting them cleaned. There had been other issues with scheduling, before as well. I have since found another company who is professional, honest, and forthright with their services. The new company is almost 50% less expensive than First Impressions and actually offers more services for the price.

Our floor looks brand new! They came out to give me a quote, then two days later to do the job. He was here when he said he'd be, finished earlier than predicted, and the price was exactly as quoted. The tech who did the job was very knowledgeable, kept me informed, and checked in with me as he moved through the house to make sure I was satisfied with the work being done. Precautions were taken to protect the carpet, furniture, and walls. Everyone I spoke with was very courteous and I really felt like my satisfaction was their priority. I'm very happy with the outcome; I only wish we'd done this sooner!

They were fantastic. I spent $400. I have 2 oriental rugs in really bad shape with pet stains and so on. When I took them there I thought the people would look down on me for the condition of the rugs. They were very happy to do them and they gave me a 10% Angie's List discount, they had them ready within a short time and when I got them back, I don't think anybody else could've done any better. The people were very nice. I have a huge rug in my bedroom and I'm planning on using them again.

After our initial phone call to the company and chat with the owner Kim, a technician came by to give us an estimate. He listed and priced all the variables that could be done: clean carpet only, clean carpet and tile, protection, no protection, etc. He told us if he did the job he would vacuum the house and move furniture that needed to be moved. All we would need to take care of was securing knick knacks. We decided to have both the tile grout cleaned downstairs and all the carpet cleaned throughout the house. He arrived promptly about 10 days later at the stated time. He vacuumed the floors, moved some furniture and cleaned the tile. I requested a few additional pieces of furniture be moved so that he could clean under them. No problem! We had never had the grout cleaned in this way before, only with bleach, a toothbrush and a rag. This tile is over 25 years old and results were amazing. It really looks like new. He then cleaned and raked the carpet using fans to help the drying process. Furniture that was moved was placed back on small styrofoam type blocks. We were told not to remove these until 24 hours passed. We were also told to try not to walk too much on the carpet until after 24 hours. He was careful to ask about certain items that might need special care. I have an antique coffee table with a difficult leg. He was very careful when he moved it. All the while, this technician, I believe his name is Aaron, was very personable, professional and polite. He had told us the job would take about four hours. He was at our home about 4 1/2 hours in all. However, that included his lunch break which he took in his truck. The day was very hot and I worried about the A/C running overtime with doors open. But Aaron came in through the garage and secured the door from the house to the garage with a tie down so the door was only opened a few inches. Before he left, he reminded us to call if any spots recurred, with the exception of two dog produced spots. A few days later we got a follow up call asking if everything was ok. I gave a glowing report but did mention there was a tiny spot on the tile grout near a bathroom cabinet that had been missed. I mentioned it wasn't worth a special trip, but if someone from the company was in the area someday, perhaps they could look at it. About a week later, Kurt, the owner, called and told us someone could come by in a few days. Again, Aaron came at the appointed time and took care of the matter, quickly, professionally and amiably. Over the years we've used many different carpet cleaning companies in this house. Our costs were higher using First Impressions but part of that is due to the cost of grout cleaning. We'd never had that done before. But it makes such a difference. I almost feel like the house is brand new again! This company charges more for carpet cleaning than others we've used also. But, so far, we feel their cleaning capacity is superior and you can't beat the professional, personable service. Also, as we've gotten older, we find it difficult to move furniture and question the demands of some carpet cleaning companies who tell us to be sure we've thoroughly vacuumed the entire house before they arrive. We vacuum ourselves regularly, and to be told to do this again before an early morning cleaning appointment has gotten old. We've almost felt like asking, when told to vacuum before, "Aren't I paying you to clean this carpet?" In times when there are so many complaints about poor service, we can honestly say you can't ask for better, more thorough service than provided by First Impressions Carpet, Tile and Oriental Rug.

What a great company. This is our second experience with them. From the first contact on the phone to the technician leaving our home, the service was exceptional. The kitchen floor looks like new and the bedrooms are spotless. And I do mean spot less. The carpets had several deep stains and dark areas from heavy traffic, but that is now history. The grout in the kitchen tile looks like new. We will use First Impressions again, and won't hesitate to recommend them to family and friends. Wish all companies were this great.

The technician arrived on time and did a wonderful job. Although he made it clear that the urine stains will probably reappear, they are gone for now and the carpet looks terrific.

Called Monday, they came the same day & gave me an estimate. Scheduled for Wed. same week. The technician was early and worked hard for several hours. Very professional and did an amazing job. Even got out a spot of paint that I thought couldn't be lifted! I will use this company again and I will tell anyone & everyone who to call with their floor cleaning needs.

They showed up on time and were very careful as well as courteous. They went above and beyond compared to what other company's typically do to prevent damage to the furniture. They also gave me a bottle of cleaning solution in case I have any spills which I thought was nice of them. They have been business for a long time and are very knowledgeable about the industry. They went out of their way to follow up with me the day after they cleaned to make sure that I was completey satisfied which I thought was very professional. I would continue to use them in the future.
