ACE LOCK DOCTOR

We spoke with the guy on the phone and he set an appointment and was on time and changed all the locks for us and even fixed the back door that was turning the wrong direction for no charge. He was very knowledgeable and professional. We even called him back out to switch a door for us so that it would swing out into the garage instead of into the laundry room. We have had no problems with the door or the work he did.

He was in a hurry and rushed through to get the work done, and the locks broke the very next day.

The locksmith arrived half hour late around 10 am. Instead of replacing a simple lock as I originally asked, He sold me an extra contraption. After almost 5 hours of drilling holes and cutting, the lock and alarm bar was finally installed..I made sure he understand me so I told him point blank his finished product was a piece of s*** and looked unprofessional. Lot of gaps, patch work, missing screw and missing cover plate. He immediately shot back and told me that is how professional works looks like. I told me I cannot accept a strike plate with an jerry rigged screw as a stopper. I cannot accept a door with a 2" x 8" hole by the side. I questioned him why the strike plate requires an extra screw which does not belong there. He then told me the original strike plate was missing from the box and that was the best he could find in his van. If I really want, he could come back later or tormorrow with the correct kind of strike plate. I told him I already spent 7 hours on this lock problem and I couldn't wait any longer. I asked him to correct the problem without my presence and picked up the check from my neighbor. When I called before 5 pm, he told me he just finished the replacement. I have not gone back to see if the strike plate was good enough?

My hero. After years and years of trying to get locksmith to fix the problem instead of just temporarily fixing the symptom, I finally found an intelligent locksmith! The door was hung improperly, the strike plates were not installed properly, and the quikset lock mechanism wore out quickly. I needed the initial improper install fixed, not just the lock mechanism changed but for 3 years was unable to get any lock tech to look at the whole problem. I told Louis, key won't go into lock but I want don't just want it fixed, I want it FIXED. He understood immediately; took one look at the door and hinges, and got right to work on the real problem. Now I have a level door that seals when it shuts, a lock that won't wear out after less than a year, strike plates that don't gouge out the moulding, no leakage around the door, door shuts smoothly, and lock turns smoothly. I am so happy.

I found Louis from Angie's List recommendations. I called him on a weekend while we were in Orlando at our vacation home. He said he would do the work for us on Sunday, arrived on time, he was courteous, professional and did a good job at a fair price. Very accommondating. We were very pleased.

Work was scheduled by phone at a mutually convenient time and work was performed as scheduled. The person who did the work was friendly, courteous, and efficient. He finished in less than 30 minutes, and the new keys that he provided fit perfectly.

Lewis Cerrajero, owner/operator, scheduled my service within a half-hour from the time I called. He arrived when he said he would. He was courteous and professional. He quickly replaced the lock and rekeyed the other locks. He also made me multiple copies of the keys within minutes. It was a pleasure having him do the work.

I give this company my highest recommendation. Louis had originally rekeyed the locks here when I moved into my home 2 years ago. When I set up the appointment, he gave me a 2 hour window. The day of the appointment, he called ahead of time to let me know when exactly he would arrive (and it WAS within the same 2 hr window). Louis and his son are extremely courteous, conscientious, friendly, and hard-working. They completed the work quickly and cleaned up afterward. I was surprised to learn that they also do work on the doors themselves and was ecstatic when I found out they could put on a new sweeper as I had had problems with bugs coming inside. You can't go wrong with Ace Lock Doctor!
