We were relocating to Orlando and decided that we knew enough about Real Estate that getting an agent wasn't something we wanted to do, we could use Zillow, Realtor.com and going to open houses thinking we could find something that we would fall in love with. After talking to our friends we narrowed our search to the Windermere, Dr. Phillips and the Winter Garden area. We went to several open houses and trying to get into gated communities made it difficult and after a week on a Sat afternoon we decided we needed an agent. We had gone to an open house and someone gave us Darrell's name as someone who knew Windermere very well. At first we were hesitant but made the call. We contacted him on a Sat afternoon at 3:30 and on Sunday he made himself available to take us around giving us the lay of the land, showing us a lot of what each community offered. He was born and raised in the Windermere area but by no means did he push that on us. He listened to what we wanted with our respective wish lists, and started on the journey with us. We explored several homes, several areas and no matter what time of day we called or texted him he responded in a very quick time frame always having an answer for us. We finally,found a home we love and he negotiated for us and we are closing next week, all while helping many other clients. We made offers on a couple of homes that he helped negotiate and we couldn't agree on terms and we pulled our offer. Not one time during those times did he try tomconvince us to purchase the home for the sake of his commission, and at one time we found a home we wanted to look at and he showed us comps in the area and explained it was way over priced and would show us the home if we wanted but wanted us to have the facts. It's notmaboutmthe commission he will make, it's about his clients being happy!! I understand that doing what he did for us as many would say is his job, however, he was available at all times, never once discouraged us from any area we ourselves found, and went over and above what any agent we have ever had do. I would tell anyone who is relocating to the Orlando area to do yourself a favor and give Darrell a call, it will be a call you will never regret!, he is truly the best!
