It went well. There were some delays beyond his control but I was not in a hurry and preferred work to be done right than done in a hurry.

Hands down the best handyman service I have ever used and I have used all of them. As with a lot of customers, i contacted various handymen services and either I never received a call back or you never pin down a start date with them. The amount of time you spend going back and forth can be costly. I contact Andrew with Apex and he calls me back within hours. He shows up to give me an estimate when he said he would. He details what they would do, sets a date and completes it when he said he would. He was able to fix a very tricky drywall repair that could not be fixed my painter and did various jobs in the house. Communication with him could not have been better. He always returned phone calls and e-mails. The advantage with this company is that they are a superior home improvement company that can also provide you with handyman work. So I was able to receive high end quality work that surpasses your normal handyman service while still remaining competitive on price. This team fixes it right the first time. I think I can sum it up best my saying they are timely, trustworthy and can address all your home repair needs. I am extremely happy with my repairs!!!

Trust me, you want to hire Apex Home Improvements, LLC owned by Andrew Ratches. We had just moved into a new apartment and had family flying in from Ohio to stay with us. I, as usual, had put off a series of odd jobs: hanging 10+ large paintings/pictures, knick-knacks, a large mirror, and installing six heavy curtain rods, each costing as much as a car payment! I needed the work done as soon as possible, and had already reached out to four separate odd-job carpentry shops, all of whom were too busy to come out for what was a relatively small job. It was an amazing experience from the moment that I spoke with Andrew. He was on a job, yet took time to speak with me and listen…even when I desperately rambled about why this small job was such as “big” deal. Then, on that Sunday, he personally came out to the apartment, did all of the work and did NOT take advantage of the situation by jacking the price up. Just think of that! He was fast, meticulous (did a great job of covering/moving furnishings so that they wouldn’t be affected by dust), and courteous. Andrew took the time at each step of the process to explain why he was using certain wall anchors, or adding extra supports, etc. The work was of such high quality that I had to take a moment to share with my fellow “Angie’s List” members what a great experience it was working with Andrew Ratches and Apex Home Improvements. They really are that good!

I had already hired Apex to do some interior handiwork, and was completely satisfied by the project. So, I knew that Andrew would be responsive and professional when it came to painting the house. The men who worked were true professionals, and went over and above-board to meet our expectations and needs. The finished project looks great, and I have Andrew in my speed-dial for future projects!

We needed to quickly get a drip patched in our sunroom. It was the week between Christmas and New Years and we were having difficulty finding someone who'd come out, until we called APEX and Andrew responded right away. We set an appointment and he showed up when he promised he would. He quickly assessed what needed to be done and took care of it. The job went smoothly and he assured us that he warranted the work and provided paperwork with that guarantee. We would certainly hire him again and would recommend him to friends.

Andrew was professional and pleasure to have work in my home. He works hard to make sure the customer is satisfied and works diligently to accommodate everyone's schedule. He was even concerned about the toilet repair/recall issues { he contacted the manufacturer and was able to get the tank replacement sent to us for free}. We look forward to using APEX for more upcoming home improvement projects . We are usually very nervous about t having people come to our home to do repair work, but with APEX Home Repair, we felt very much at ease.

Andrew was very easy to work with. Did a Great job and cleaned up afterwards and was speedy. I was very worried the tiles where going to break as they are old and not very good quality but Andrew did a Great Job and not one was broken. Thanks again Andrew.

It went well. Andrew was very helpful. He was able to communicate how long it would take to get the job done. It was an older ceiling fan that we bought off of a yard sale so it had some wiring complications. Andrew gave us options of how to get around the problem and installed it quickly.

All I can say is WOW! I have the master bathroom of my dreams… It’s like walking into a high-end spa right in my own house. Andrew made my cocktail napkin doodles a reality and it is even greater then I could have ever imagined. Knowing this was going to be a big undertaking I began interviewing four different local contractors for the job. After the painful and lengthy process of the first three, I was almost defeated until I finally had the chance to sit down with Andrew. From the minute we started discussing the project I knew I had found the right guy for the job. The knowledge, experience, and amazing ideas he came to the table with far surpassed the rest. I wanted something special that I could get away from the day and my stresses. I got that with the exquisite master bathroom I have now. The collaboration of ideas we worked out was perfect. I found a company that not only came in under budget but also finished up two days ahead of schedule, I didn’t think that was possible. The amount of care and quality that went into the bathroom from Andrew was very touching to me. He added many features I had on my wish list that were just a little out of reach for my budget at no extra charge. He kept telling me that “As long as I was happy with the end result, that is all that matters”. I cannot speak highly enough about him.

I initially hired them for painting after reading all their great reviews. Not only did they do the painting, they took up carpet in 3 bedrooms (removed tack strips from hardwood floors) and fixed a damaged area of hardwood. I also had a mold issue on a storage room ceiling they took care of for me. They treated the mold and replaced damaged drywall ceiling. Everything I needed I was told ?not a problem?...would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of a wonderful contractor/handyman. I have him coming back in 2 weeks to start a full master bathroom remodel. I can?t wait!!!

Ok.......he replaced a faucet, a battery in an emergency exit light, glued back together a few pieces of laminate floor, and replaced a thresh hold.

He was fantastic. Showed up on time so I did not have to spend my whole day waiting around for him. He assisted with quite a few projects and did so in a timely manner. The wall that he fixed for me looked as good as new when he was finished. Because of him my roommate and I were able to get our entire deposit back on our apartment, which we didn't think was possible with the damage that my dog had done. I will absolutely use him again for any of my home improvement needs!

Andrew was great! I needed a few items addressed at one of my rental properties and found the right company hiring them. He was very professional and had no problem working around my tenants busy schedule. Couldn't ask for anything more. I highly recommend them

I had them replace 4 bedroom ceiling fans in our home and replace all of the smoke detector batteries. From start to finish it was a ?breeze? to work with him. Andrew purchased and also installed the fans leaving me nothing to do but write a check LOL. He also changed out the batteries in the smoke detectors making those annoying beeps go away! Very pleased with the work, he did a great job!
