Horrible experience. Horrible people. We deal with them all the time and the owner is like a monster. He's a thief. He overcharges everybody. He's just a rough guy. He bullies seniors. I will give them zero overall or what's the lowest you can give them. They're extremely high-priced. The quality is not a problem. They're just as good as anybody else, but not better or worse than anybody else. It is just that they gouge people. I will never give them an A. Wildwood was a disaster.
Description of Work: We used Wildwood Kitchen & Bath. They do granite countertops.

Never called them because a neighbor and good friend had them over to give them an estimate and, after checking with them several times, finally got an estimate which was very high. They did not appreciate the way the person that came to their house to give them the estimate treated them so I decided against contacting them.

It went very well except for one of the contractors attitudes which was obnoxious, I would use them again as long as they did not use that particular contractor.

Terrible. We wanted to sign the contract about May 25 but the salesman said he would come to the home for us to sign 5/31, and we gave him 50% deposit. They were supposed to have a person to remove the window and install glass blocks, but could not get one so we scrambled to find a decent contractor. They also could not locate a vanity or sink we wanted so we got our own (a dresser on legs from Pottery Barn and a square surface mount sink.We were promised we'd be contacted "Monday or Tuesday" by the scheduler. When we called we were told :1. He was in the hospital 2:Production was backed up and our schedule cold not be met. We said we would cancel the order, they got irate. Tear out began 6/9. They delivered the pan, but we rejected it because it had a crack in it.On 6/30 the walls and fixtures were installed but the plumber would not install the sink (we found out later that despite salesman's promise he was ordered not to touch it). The shower was installed higher than the glass walls, so we "insisted" they put in the proper height of 76", they wanted more money and we said no, that it should have been put in properly. Meanwhile, a neighbor and I installed the sink and did the plumbing. Due date for glass installation of 7/20 was missed, and when installed 7/22 the glass company noticed the wall where the door is mounted moved in and out.. After much "buck passing" and numerous calls they came out, removed the glass and chipped the glass. The Jetta stone wall developed a crack. The drywall/texture people were supposed to come 8/7, but did not arrive until 8/10, we couldn't paint until 8/11 and finished just moments before WWK&B came out to install the new Jetta stone wall. Glass Co. came out to install door 8/20 but could not do it because WWK&B took the hinges. There were many other problems, too.

They did a great job, Greg, the owner had excellent ideas on the redesign. There was no problem with changes being made as long as it was before materials were ordered and the work started. The workers came when scheduled, were polite, careful and did quality work. Any issues were promptly taken care of. I will definitely call them for my next remodel.

Two installers arrived on time and proceeded to get right to work. They fully explained what had to be done and how they were going to do it They were both knowledgeable and professional and left the area as clean or cleaner than it was when they started their work. One installer said he could save me some money, which he did. The company cheerfully refunded us the difference, without having to be contacted. We are planning work to with this company for other home improvements. I strongly recommend this company.

I don't think their price was out of line. They were easy to deal with, they did what they said they would do, and when they said they would do it. I think the main person who worked on our kitchen was part owner of the organization so he represented it very well. The quality has been excellent and their responsiveness was very good. The service was excellent. Their professionalism was very good.

Signing contract was fairly easy except they refused to honor Angie List Coupon for 10% discount and instead gave us a $500 discount which was standard. Mike the sales person seemed very friendly, but proved to be less than honest when he told us that the faucets he recommended would stream water to the center of the sink bowls and not on the drain. He assured us on 2 separate visits that the 3 faucets would meet our wishes. When we complained to him at the end of installation, he said that he didn't remember the conversations and we were stuck with the faucets he recommended. He also said that they don't make bath room faucets that do that. We were also suppose to have an exhaust fan replaced and that never happened even though we left message about that. I would give management an "F" about being unreasonable about allowing us the Angie Coupon that we got on line from your site and the refusal to change out the faucets for free with ones that met our requirements. We would say that management is only worried about the money and not the customer . The customer is not right as far as Wildwood Kitchen and Bath are concerned. Mike, the sales person, went to his manager on the coupon and Mike said his manager said No. That being said, the professionalism of the work men was very good and they strived for perfection except for the master bathroom counter that had a visible seam where the two pieces of counter tops came together. Based on that, We would have to give them a "B" on workmanship even thou the installer had been with them for 17 years. After Angies List contacted them they finally came back to replace the counter top. They sent the salesman back first and he kind of agreed that it looked bad, and then they sent one of their technicians and he said that they would try to fix it, but may have to make a new counter-top. Took them about 2 weeks to get the new counter-top made and they installed it and finally put in the bathroom fan. Owner called to apologize and said that none of his people told them about the problem. Seem to me that the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing at this company. Told the owner that I was satisfied with the new counter-top, but that I noticed that one of the shower walls was showing some streaks in it, but we were not going through another problem with the job because we were not going to do without the shower for any length of time. Overall, I would not use Wildwood Kitchen and Bath again for any work.

Description of Work: Try to get cabinet pricing. I provided all the sizes and the man said he would get back to me on Friday, that was Weds. I called again and he said he wasn't done it would be Weds. Then I stopped in was also looking for additional items and everyone else was helpful. When he finally called 3 1/2 wks after I dropped off the sizes, he called on a Monday and wanted to meet on Weds 4 wks after I dropped off all the sizes and I told him I already bought them elsewhere. The not only lost a cabinet sale, but a bath remodel, and granite countertops for 2 baths and a ktichen and vanities for 2 bathrooms and the complete kitchen. He said he was behind because his mother just died. Well, I understand, however he could have given the list to someon

My name is George the coordinator of Wildwood Kitchen and Bath, we talked once before your cabinets were installed. Your jobs was already completed to your satisfaction on 12/4/13. We will appreciate confirmation from you that the jobs is completed. This is how it was. You placed the order on 10/15/2013 cabinets were ordered on 10/18/13 when processed in the order it was received. We always explain to our customers it takes 3 to 4 weeks for delivery depending on the cabinet maker schedule, all cabinets are made to order. We received your cabinets on 11/21/2013 exactly 4 weeks after the order, we installed them on the following Monday and per your schedule the counter top on the following week, completing the job on 12/4/2013. If you have any other comments please let us know we appreciate you taking your time and writing a review for our company.

A horrific experience with Denise (co-owner). Signed contract on 8/13 & paid for half of total cost. Was told that job would be completed prior to our vacation on 9/7. Received "revised" invoice for additional $265.14 in mail 9 days later because she "forgot to add wall by sink". I consider myself a reasonable and honorable individual & would not have had a problem paying the additional monies if I received a phone call within a couple of days after signing the original contract, acknowledging her error, but 9 days later?!?! Finally received a call on 9/18 to arrange an install date now set for 9/26 & 9/27 but..........the installers ran short of tile. I was told that it was all "my fault" because I "changed my mind". The fact is that the only thing I changed my mind about was the color of "pencils" (borders) which I was never given the opportunity to select in the first place and 10 decorative tiles in lieu of overlaying diagonal (accent) tiles atop diagonal tiles which would have looked ridiculous. I offered to pay for the 10 decorative tiles. On 10/17 (3 weeks later), my kitchen half done and totally discombobulated, the installers show up with yet another bill for an additional $835.45 with a note attached reading "collect check before start the job". I don't believe 10 decorative tiles cost that much. At this point, Denise threatened to send the installers on their way and leave me with an incomplete job. When i told her that I would be meeting up with Seniors vs Crime she backed down and told me to go ahead & pay the original amount due of $1346.50. There was no way I was going to be intimidated into giving her the balance due until the job was completed. Denise was disrespectful, arrogant and downright dishonest in my dealings with her. She hung up the phone on me twice and was insistent this charade was "all my fault".

The following is a copy of the same Issue already resolved on Better Business Bureau which was closed on our favor. 10/21/2013 Case Received by BBB 10/24/2013 Case Reviewed by BBB 10/24/2013 Send Acknowledgement to Consumer 10/25/2013 Notify Business of Dispute 10/29/2013 Receive Business Response In all due respect, the following complaint is well over exaggerated. [member name removed] was a referral from a very pleased customer of ours. She requested assistance in picking out a back splash for her kitchen. She loved the design of the materials that were selected and a Contract was written up. A 50% down payment is due to order the products, with the remaining balance due at the end of job completion. Per my error, I made an incorrect measurement, resulting in an extra expense. I did send out a new balance due; however, after a phone call from [member name removed] screaming about not paying another dime for our error, I agreed to remove the extra expense. The day of install, the customer decided she did not like the design or color. She came back into our showroom (a time that I was out) and ordered additional glass inserts; along with new pencils. Prior to ordering the new tile, I phoned [member name removed] regarding the costs for the new tile. She was again, disrespectful...stating that she shouldn't have to pay the additional cost, because she didn't like the tile that we had ordered prior. I told her that the prior order could not be returned and that she would have to pay for the replacement tiles. I told her twice that if she did not stop screaming at me and act like an adult, I was going to hang up on her...resulting in me hanging up. She finally phoned back and agreed to the additional cost of the glass and pencils. In the way she conducted herself with our employees and myself, a red flag was raised. However, we proceeded with the order. During the time the tile was on order, she phoned again stating that she was dealing with a bunch of liars. That we promised to have the tile in within 10 days and it wasn't. I apologized and told her that we wanted to have her project finished as soon as possible too, and as soon as we got confirmation on the tile, we would finish her install. Again, she had a raised voice that she had company coming in and her kitchen was not finished. I reminded her that if she would have stayed with the original tile that she had selected and agreed to on the Contract, the project would have been completed. The day that our installers went to her home, I did ask for them to collect the balance due in worries that this customer would not pay the agreed amount. In which she didn't. We spoke on the phone again, while the installers were there...she said she wouldn't pay the balance due and would not give them anything until the job was completed. And if I didn't have them complete the work she was going to go to The Crimes Against Senior Citizens and hung up on me. This customer expected us to pay for the change of her mind of backsplash and the additional costs that were incurred along with it. We just wanted to be finished with the job and move on. I phoned her back and told her we would eat all the additional expenses, to pay the original balance and I would have our installers complete the backsplash. I have worked with the public my whole career life and my experience with [member name removed] was very hostile and un-adult like. It was an unfortunate experience for all involved. 10/31/2013 Forward Business response to Consumer 11/03/2013 Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This woman has a very colorful tale to tell with many,many half truths. She has a very vivid imagination and seems to have a very short memory of the facts as presented in my original complaint. Her installers were in the kitchen with me when I was on the telephone with her and can confirm there was absolutely no "screaming" going on on my end. My husband was in the next room & would have surely jumped up to see what was going on if I were "screaming". I stand by my original complaint & swear on a bible it was not an "exaggeration" of the facts. I was dependent on this woman's "alleged expertise" in the business to guide me with my selection in this process. But, it's obvious that all she wanted to do was make a sale. When the installers arrived & showed us how it would look, one of them commented they would install it that way if we still wanted them to, but it wouldn't look good & we both agreed with him. Once again, we're talking about an additional 10 4"x4" decorative tiles which I was willing to pay for but certainly not at a cost of over $800.00 more which she tried to con me into paying. I went over to visit with Seniors vs Crime & handed them a copy of my original complaint, (for their records). They were able to confirm through their computer system, there were several other complaints filed against Wildwood Kitchen & Bath. In addition, when the original contract was written up, I pulled out my Visa card to pay 50% of the total cost & she very reluctantly accepted this form of payment stating it was going to cost her fifty some dollars if I used a credit card in lieu of cash or check. She proceeded to write on the contract that balance due of $l346.50 must be paid "by check" which I did not have a problem with. It's interesting to note that their ad on Angie's List clearly indicates they accept 5 major credit cards. And no, I never called her nor her employees a "bunch of liars". However, I did tell her she lied to me because she did. She has made every attempt to blame me for her own shortcomings. This woman is totally unprofessional and un-business like and I refuse to be steam rolled by her arrogant behavior. 11/04/2013 Forward Consumer Rebuttal to Business 11/08/2013 Received Business' Rebuttal Response Obviously this can continue to go back and forth with the "he said and she said". As stated before, it was a very unfortunate experience for all of us involved. We have up to 1000 customers a year...unfortunately we are not going to please everyone of them. Every thing was on time as promised. The removal of the old shower took a half a day the crew did a great job and clean up afterwards was satisfactory. The next day the plumbers came in and did their job. Had to wait 5 days for installation of the new shower walls which were custom made. Two later the frameless glass shower door was installed. All work was done in a Professional manner. The project was a little expensive but we are completely satisfied with the results.

I thought Wildwood Kitchen & Bath Inc was professional and timely. They showed up on time for the quote. They completed the quote in a comprehensive way. They were courteous. Their quote was high that's why we didn't go with them. In hindsight, I wish we had because the company we worked with has been frustrating to work with. I don't know what it would have been like to work with them. My interaction with Wildwood, I would call and A, their price I would call a B.

On the other hand we only work with first quality products from the screws that we use, our cabinets, stone, showers , glass and so on. We also have the best installers in the area which have been also working with us since day one, therefore comparing our prices to inferiors materials or products is not quite fair if we will do the same comparison but with the same products I can assure you we are very competitive if not the best price because of our volume we are able to bring prices down quite a bit and we transfer that to our family of customers. Eric at Wildwood kitchens came to our home and took measurements and a detail of what we wanted done. We then went to their store and picked out jetta stone color, granite color, type of sinks with faucets and remaining hardware. From then on everything went like clockwork without even a missed appointment. George their scheduler worked closely with us to coordinate all the work to be completed. Never did the workers not show up as scheduled and always acted professionally and cleaned up after themselves. We were promised work completion before Thanksgiving and inspite of the small window of time, all work was completed on time and to our satisfaction. I highly recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: The contractor ripped out a bathtub and installed the plumbing and a new enlarged jetta stone shower with a glass enclosure, fabricated and installed new jetta stone counter tops with molded sinks in master bath. Installed custom made granite counter tops with new sinks and faucets in kitchen and guest bath.

I received wonderful assistance in finding the pantry design I wanted from the sales person (along with a guestimate on the price of the unit); upon my request, he came to my home and had wonderful ideas re: the minor carpentry that would be necessary to install the unit. He gave me an estimate which was significantly higher than I had expected so he said he would have to talk with the boss (owner) to see if there was "anything they could do". I then received a fax with the same price (no explanation, no effort to reduce/negotiate the installation price). So, I assume they don't want my business or are only interested in "Big" jobs. At any rate, in this economy, most businesses are at least interested in some price negotiation (however small) just to get your business, the business of your friends, and any future business (I have several other projects planned for the next couple of years). Ultimately, my decision to not use this company was based on their arrogance vs. the money. Businesses that do not feel the need to EARN the customer's loyalty and have a "take it or leave it" approach will be less than accommodating if there is a problem with the work. I'm so sorry because I really wanted this pantry and was ready to have it installed the next week.

Unfortunately at some point our communication or approach was wrong, we don't have a take it or leave it attitude that I can assure you,we are all about our clients, what we try to explain to our customers in this kind of situations is that the jobs to do it right and how you will expect from us, have costs on both materials and labor which we don't cut corners on to provide our customers with nothing but the quality you want. Anybody could do a cheaper job but cheaper don't mean better.
