They came on the day they said the would. They were efficient and got the work done in one afternoon. I have been very happy with the work.

I had several fascia boards that were rotted and needed to be replaced. On October 21, 2013 I contacted V. E. QUILLEN Roofing & Consulting Services. The gentleman on the phone was very courteous (I'm sorry I don't recall his name) and told me that he would forward my name & phone number to his son, Brent, as he would be the one to provide me with an estimate. Within 2 hours of my initial phone call, Brent returned my call, arrived at my house and accessed the damaged area. He was very professional & courteous as well, it must run in the family!!! It should be noted that a large section of fascia boards that needed to be replaced had an aluminum screen patio frame affixed to them. Because I want to get the patio re-screened (next project) I told Brent that I would like for the aluminum frame to remain intact. Twenty-four hours later Brent e-mailed me the Fascia Repair Estimate, which included a $100.00 discount for Angie's List Members. I found the price to be more than fair and e-mailed my Notice of Approval back to Brent. On October 27th I received an e-mail stating that a crew would be at my residence on the morning of October 28th to commence with the repairs. On October 28th the work was started & completed to specification and to my total satisfaction. This was a "no muss- no fuss" experience. I've resided in south Florida since 1981 and have had many experiences with all types of businesses, V.E. QUILLEN HAS surpassed all of them. It was more than a pleasure doing business with them, their professionalism, courtesy and skill are top notch. Just as a business should be. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND V.E. This was my second try at fixing the leak. The first company I hired failed to fix it right. Quillen got it done the first time. All the work was completed in one day by a crew of 4 workers. Very happy with results. His price was half of what a large roofing company bid.

Here it is two weeks later and no callback from either father and son. A run-around and an attitude from the supposed "patriarch" of this company.

I called my air condition company and set an appointment for repair.

Service went well. They were able to stop the leak on my roof during a second attempt with no additional charges even though i took up quite a few more hours of labor.

I had a really lovely conversation with Victor on July 31st. We had been advised that our insurer had concerns about some tiles on our roof. So I needed to move quickly to ensure that our insurance remained valid. We spoke at length, and I emailed him a copy of the inspection report with the roofing inspection details. He said that Brent would call me to arrange a time to come out to the house, but if I hadn't heard from him by midday the next day, to follow up with him. So I called Brent at 1pm the next day, and we arranged for him to come out to the house at 5pm the following day. Well, he never showed up. I left a message with him on Friday Aug 2nd, asking if he might be running late, or if he needed to reschedule. He didn't return my call. I left another message on Monday Aug 5th, again, asking if we might reschedule, and he still hasn't returned my call. This is really poor customer service. From all of the glowing reviews on Angies List, I had high hopes for this company, but my experience seems to be vastly different. I am sorry that we couldn't work together, I really tried!

Brent showed when he said he would, began work promptly in a very professional manner and closed the roof moments before a typical South Florida summer thunderstorm open the shy with torrential rain. These guys are great!

I called and left a message and the manager called me back the next day. He showed up as agreed and gave me a quote. I did get 3 quotes and they were the lowest. I scheduled a day. The week we scheduled was rainy and they had to reschedule. They showed up when they said and did great work. They cleaned up their mess and didn't make alot of noise. There was no drama in using them and all went great. I would use them again. They do not do new roofs, only repairs.

I love using this company. Brent is the best. He response quickly and comes out most times by the next day. I called Brent when I noticed water stains after heavy rains in four areas of the home. Brent came out looked over the work and emailed me an estimate. In addition, he allowed me to pay in four installments. We scheduled the appointment and Brent had his guys come out and do the work in half a day. This was worth every penny and up to now I have not had nay issues with the back half of the roof. Brent worked with me and I will refer him to anyone looking for a roofer. This company deserved the A rating received by Angie's list!

He came out promptly and gave us an estimate. He seemed very knowledgeable.

We were really impressed with VE Quillen. They were very friendly and professional when we contacted them. They showed up right when they said they would and gave us an honest and accurate estimate then when the roofers came to make the repair they were also professional, thorough and very helpful.

I had a massive flood in the front bedroom from water coming from above that caused the ceiling to collapse. I thought it was from heavy rains. I had 4 roofers come out. None could definitively determine the exact spot of the leak but only the general area water came in. One quoted $4,285 to repair damage and tried to sell me on additional roof work plus a "Club Membership" for future roof work. Another quoted $2,800 and a third quoted $2,681 but relied on the other two roofers' reports as to what needed to be repaired since he couldn't determine the area of the problem. Brent from VE Quillen, who I had used for a minor roof leak repair in another part of the house 2 years ago and did an excellent job, came out and spent more time than anyone else trying to identify the leak, explaining everything to me and the structure of the roof, etc. His quote was $1,775. The night before VE Quillen was to repair my roof, the leak started up during a rain and I videoed the water coming in. Brent came out within hours to assess the issue and quickly determined that a broken sprinkler pipe outside was shooting water through an eaves vent into the attic, causing the damage. I did not need a roof repair. He did not charge or ask to be compensated for VE Quillen's time in coming to the house to provide the estimate, coming back out after the leak reoocurred or for the time scheduled to do the job the next day that now would not be used and was too late to fill in with another customer. I would highly reccomend VE Quillen for their service, professionalism, knowledge and (from having prior work done), quailty of their work. They are dependable, honest and top-notch.

We spoke with reps from 4 other roofing companies, aside from this one. All did pretty much the same thing to start with: visual check, go through the attic and see where the source of the problem was, that sort of thing. Afterwards, they each gave their brief on what needed to be done, with some estimates given on the spot, others received later on via email. Of all the reps we were visited by, Brent impressed us the most, as far as level of knowledge and making us feel comfortable with what was actually getting done and why it was being done that way. All and all, it was the level of professionalism, thoroughness and knowledge about roof repairs, both from Brent and from Vic (owner, who we corresponded with via email for additional info), that made us decide to go with VE Quillen Roofing. Additional details regarding some of the other companies that came for an estimate include: one that wanted to sell us on some sort of roofing maintenance contract (monthly fee, in addition to cost of this repair; I'm pretty sure that's what household insurance is good for, thank you very much), another whose estimate was all scribbled and somewhat confusing (looked like a 5 year old's handwriting, too), and another one which was a MUCH higher estimate $ amount, for what looked to us to be pretty much the same thing VE Quillen would be doing. It came down between VE Quillen and another company, since they were very similar in cost. Brent and Vic made us feel more secure in our choice to go with their company thanks to their overall expertise and up front, detailed description of job. Punctual, timely repair, very efficient, overall great experience. Will definitely use again, if/when need arises.

Outstanding! They were responsive, personable and honest. My call was answered personally. Brent arrived as scheduled and was very personable and informative. We had received other quotes (lower quotes), but after seeing how thorough Brent was in his inspection of the roof and the explanation given, it was clear this was the company to go with. I trust them 100% and we are thrilled with the service and repair. Hopefully we will not need them again, but if we ever need roof repair in the future, we will use VE Quillen for sure!

They were wonderful. They actually had to fix the work of other roofers that was terrible. They took apart their botched repairs and showed me exactly what they were doing as far as the different layers of roofs that they had to lay down. They explained everything very well. I was able to go up with them and take a look at the repairs and understand firsthand what they were doing.

They went to the attic and took pictures. Performed excellent job. Cleaned up after service. Very professional.

It was an absolute pleasure contacting VE Quillen. They gave me honest goodhearted advice regarding my roof and showed so much concern for my needs as a homeowner and set aside their own needs of making money on me.
