Response from VE Quillen Roofing & Consulting Services Inc
Upon receiving a call from this member, an appointment was scheduled. At the set time of inspection, a new flat roof was recommended. This was due to the advanced age of the flat roof and the presence of multiple previous poor quality repairs. Despite our recommendation, the member requested a repair estimate. The repair estimate was emailed to him the following day as it was explained it would be. A few days passed before he called again. He stated that he did not receive the email as we said he would. The suggestion was made that he look in his spam file for the email as the computer's filter may have prevented it from being located in the "inbox". The provided email address was then verified to be correct. Subsequently, the original email was then forwarded to him two more times. It had appeared that he chose another service provider as we did not hear back from him. Nearly two months later, he posted a scathing report on this site. The member was then contacted by phone to resolve the issue. He claimed that we continually neglected to send the original email and further refused to prove that we had. He was informed that not a single email has been returned to us "undeliverable" via "Mailer-Damon". Once again, his originally provided email address was confirmed to be correct. An entire history of all corresponding emails was sent to him. While still on the phone, he verified that he received this final email (sent to the same address). This final email contained an internet provided date and time stamp of each individual email, of which he verified. Armed with proof that we had in fact continually emailed the estimate, as we said we had, the member chose not to remove his negative comments from this site. A problem with the computer system or the member's inability to operate it would seem to be suspect in this case. We can only state the fact that we had sent the estimate via email as we said we would, and did, each and every time.
