Mike is very personable, and very willing to help on any project. His power washing and painting work were fine. The first concern I had is that he would take on other client jobs at the same time as mine, and then my job took forever to get completed because he'd only come for very limited time periods, as he had committed to too many clients at the same time. He even put me on hold to do a project for my neighbor. It would have been better for him to tell the other prospective clients that he could start their project on a certain date, once my project was completed. The second concern I had is that Mike would leave his teenage son to do much of the work (except the roof repair work). I hired Mike based on his decades of hands-on experience; I didn't sign on for a teenager to do the work. If the teenager son was being supervised by Mike as a learning experience, that would be one thing, but he would just leave the son and come back hours later. Or the son would come by himself. Then Mike would come later and cuss loudly at his son about how things weren't done the way he expected. My third concern is that Mike agreed to do a partial bathroom remodel, which he never finished. I finally had to fire him and get somebody else to come in and finish it. The tile work was so uneven, the toilet wouldn't sit flush with the floor. The shower door wouldn't fit back into place, and I had to order a new custom door. The guy I hired to finish the bathroom said he had never seen such poor quality work. It was the teenage son doing most of the tile work in the bathroom, not Mike. The bathroom was a big nighmare which caused me many months delay in getting my house listed on the market. I had already moved into my new house, and the old house was sitting vacant, unable to be listed until the bathroom was finished. I would say that Homeshield Services is fine for very basic projects, like the powerwashing and painting. But in my experience, I wouldn't expect quality workmanship for anything more advanced. I waited a full year before posting this review to be sure that I was being rational and fair in my comments in retrospect, and not lashing out during the time of high-frustration.

I received a flyer with a business card one afternoon for a company that offered and quot;Complete Home Maintenance.and quot; I've wanted my property power washed for a while now and decided to make the call since it offered free estimates. The gentleman was very nice and introduced himself as Mike, right away, took down my information and we worked out a time and date to meet. When he came over he spoke in a very professional and polite manner, and was very informative about how he would go about the work. I was shocked to hear for only $450 I would receive pressure washing for my roof, home, pool, walkways and driveways! I have a four bedroom home probably between 1400-1600 sq. ft., so I expected to be paying a bit more. I immediately took advantage of his offer and he was back at my home within a week and had it all accomplished in a weekend. I was extremely pleased with the final results and definitely was sharing his information with friends and family. I found the whole experience to be very positive and friendly, and I will most definitely be calling again in the future.
