To say that Keith was awesome is an understatement! Everything went smoothly from the initial contact to the dates of service. He was very knowledgeable and a one-stop shop, unlike another electrical provider we had contacted. He made sure to send pictures via text, as the work was done while we were at work. He truly is an amazing electrical contractor!

He showed up promptly and made sure to take the time my older home needed. He was here for approximately 12-16 hours as he suggested it would be. He is one of the very few people I left alone to work in my home.

This job went better than I ever expected. Keith was very professional, he paid attention to details and did a great job. Keith used wire ties and trimed the wires to the right length to make the panel very clean and presentable and professional looking.

Perfect. Essex is totally professional and efficient; you simply could not ask for a job done better.

He tried to cheat me. He did upcharge me for something that I didn't really need. They did the work and they did it fine, but then he told me I had to pay an extra $325 above the deal and I paid it, luckily by check. The next day, I had another electrical come. They were the ones that told me, "Oh, it looks like really well done, but I don't know why he charged you the extra money because you didn't need it," or whatever. So I called back Essex and of course, he claimed that it was needed and everything else, but I put a stop payment on the check. I would not trust him. The work he did was very good from what they said, but that extra charge was not necessary and he was just making a little extra bucks. The work he did was fine, there were no problems. It was just the upcharge that I did not appreciate, especially after they told me, "You didn't need that." He did claim that I did, but what else was he going to say? He had me send him the photo of exactly what my box looked like and everything was fine. And then, when he comes here, he is like, "Oh, well you've got to do this or that." In other words, he said that he had to change the meter box as well as the electrical box. But the other guys told me, "No, the meter did not need to be changed." The guy claims, "Well, it was all one piece," or whatever, but that was such a hook up. I would avoid them. He does good work, but he is a shyster. I did contact him as soon as those guys told me that he charged me unnecessarily and he absolutely insisted that they were wrong and he was right. He was not very responsive. He insisted that it needed to be changed. He fought it out with me and I ended up putting a stop payment on the check and then he had the nerve to e-mail me saying I still owed him that money. He was very professional up until I challenged him.

Wonderful! Keith from Essex Electrical was great to work with. He responded to every question I had. Our condo is in North Miami Beach but I live in PA. Sent him pictures of the original panel, so he could see what he was getting into; he requested a permit and was able to schedule the project within days of the quote. The price was just as advertised, plus the cost of the permit. I would definately recommend his services to anyone. Seemed very honest and truth be told... I sent completed pictures to an electrican friend up here who said he did a very professional job. Can't beat that! I've tried several times to load the completed pictures on this website, but the whole review goes nowhere, so... Just a great job! Thanks!

One of the original circuit breakers that was installed in our home when it was built 20 years ago malfunctioned and started to burn and melt. We noticed the smell of burning wires in our garage and immediately shut power off at the main outside electrical panel. I searched for an electrician on Angie's list and after reading the positive reviews for Essex Electrical Service, We gave them a call. The call was immediately answered my Mr. Keith Harrod, Master Electrician who within one hour came to our home and temporary rewired the existing panel so we had essential power to our home including A/C. This was impressive as it was after normal business hours. The next morning, he arrived 90 minutes earlier than scheduled and replaced our entire circuit breaker panel. Mr. Harrod is a professional who is keen to perfection and detail. The new circuit electrical panel was wired correctly and neatly organized. All circuits were labels clearly. He did an outstanding job installing the new electrical panel which included repair of drywall and painting. All done a very reasonable price. We are so happy with the service and professionalism he provided and I must admit that this is the best service we have ever experienced compared with other service providers that have worked on our home. If you need your electrical panel replaced, I would highly recommend Essex Electrical Service.

I was extremely pleased with this work. Keith was very responsive, punctual and answered all of our questions. I was really happy that a non-functioning outlet for the washing machine worked after the panels were changed out! I would recommend Essex Electrical Service highly, and in fact our next door neighbor is going to have the same work done at his house this week using Essex Electrical. Keith showed up early, and explained everything he was going to do. He also wired our hot water heater up to code. I am very happy I chose Essex there where some issues that Keith corrected. I observed Keith and we spoke while he worked. He was a master at what he does. I will use Essex in the future to do the outside panel next. I tried to pay with Angies list but the system was down. The job took more than one day. Keith provided us with a source of power so we could still have a fan , internet and TV. That was so appreciated.

Big job that took most of the day and from the time that I called Keith to the time that he left I would say it was a pleasure. Very professional, on time, and great work. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone that I know. All is so far so good with the new breakers-pleasure doing business with him!

Keith was great to work with, very polite. I Ordered the deal via Angie's list. Keith quickly contacted me and we worked on a time to do the upgrade. He accommodated my needs to get the job done at a sooner date due to some home insurance issues I was experiencing. His Work was very professional. Just by how he installed the electrical box and patched the drywall around it. You can tell he takes pride in what he does. Oh and being that the power in the home had to be turned off for a couple hours while he worked. Keith was very professional and likes to keep you involved in the process. It was really nice of him to fix 2 dead electrical outlets that weren't part of the job. I am extremely satisfied with the outcome.

- Removed old "offensive" panel, Pacific Federal - Installed new Siemens panel - Patched drywall affected by work. Super easy to deal with. Very knowledgeable. Called the duration of work like to the minute. Clean work. Could be the area's best expert panel replacer. Keith is a nice guy too. Very highly recommend.

Guy was super knowledgeable and friendly. He even helped repair a couple outlets in the house that were bad. Super happy with him. He is the guy for this type of work people!
