We signed a contract in April of 2021 with Vinyasun to provide solar power to our home as well as battery back ups using the Sun Power Vault. It is now February 2022 and we are still not operational. We can not get a certificate of completion or our net metering from FPL until the job is complete. We started paying for our equipment in November of 2021 as well as still paying for our electric to FPL. There is no resolution in sight. Vinyasun keeps pointing the finger to Sun Power. Sun Power is no better as they keep referring us back to Vinyasun as our installer. There is little to no communication from Vinyasun. Do yourself a favor, if you want solar, go with another installer. This experience is a nightmare. I'm writing a follow-up to the above review. It is now September 2023. Our solar power system has been up and running for over a year and it is working very well. We recently had an issue with the back up Sun Vault batteries and Vinyasun was very proactive and helps us get the matter resolved with Sun Power. Though our initial experience was super frustrating and quite harrowing, we appreciate the support and service we received and continue to receive from Vinyasun. At this time I would change my statement to say I recommend Vinyasun as an installer and I would highly recommend staying away from Sun Power. They do not support their product.

Vinyasun installed my solar panels in late March of 2021 and my house was up and running by early April 2021. In the last 28 months, I have been able to heat my pool in the winter time to 90 degrees and still not use all of the power that was generated. In fact I had an FPL bill of $0 for December 2021 through April 2022 due to the excess power sent back to FPL. Other months I have had the minimum billing from FPL. In late 2021 I purchased a Tesla since I was generating so much power there was no sense paying for gas. My wife then bought a hybrid a few months later in early 2022. We still managed to charge both vehicles at home and stay at or under the minimum FPL billing. Where we live we are on well water, so a power outage also means no water in the house. So as nice as the FPL savings are each month, the piece of mind knowing I can generate power during a grid outage was well worth the cost of installing solar. Happy with the work Vinyasun did in 2021. When I have had questions over the years, they have been quick to respond. I couldn't ask for more.

Their product works beautifully, most of the time. We've had a series of unfortunate once-in-a-million kind of thing with SolarEdge way too often. Vinyasun is not always swift to respond but eventually will return your email, provide status, and ensure your equipment is working.

EDITED REVIEW. They finally did honor their contract. It took them nearly 2 years but eventually they did replace my panels on the roof and they have been consistent with communication since then. Therefore, I am editing my stars from 1 star to 3 stars. Do NOT use this company. They are dishonest and will not uphold their agreement with you. This company has avoided my calls and not responded to my emails since May of 2021. They installed solar panels on my roof in 2018. We knew at the time that we would need our roof replaced in the next couple of years. Therefore, written into our contract was one uninstall and reinstall. Well last January 2021, we had them remove the solar panels so that we can get our roof replaced. They put them into our garage. Since May 2021, we have attempted to get our panels reinstalled on our roof. At first, they would make excuses as to why they were unable to get out to us. After a few months of excuses, they now just don’t answer emails or calls. In December, I went by their office space and begged them to reinstall . They lady, Victoria, promised me she would speak to the owner, Justin and get back to me. She never got back to me. I have called and emailed numerous time per week. Now, over a year since they were taken off our roof, they are still not reinstalled. Terrible customer service and dishonest. It is part of our contractual agreement but they refuse to honor it.

Justin and the Vinyasun crew did a great job on my solar system. I have had my solar system for around seven years now. I had an inverter go bad recently and Justin replaced it under warranty like promised.

I reached out to Vinyasun using the website and also a direct email to Justin and got no response. I had to find another solar company to remove my solar for a roof replacement. I would not recommend this company.

This company's owner is a fraud. He does not honor his own contract. Avoid at all costs. Simply look at Home Advisor, Yelp or BBB.

This is one of the best home improvements one can do. Vinyasun makes it possible to finance the entire installation. I also chose to install back-up batteries to enhance my ability to be self-powered at night and during power outages, which are usual in South Florida storms. The folks at Vinyasun handle the plans, the tech needs, and dealings with the city and power company. These are complexities that come with changing an energy source and probably above the pay grade for a normal homeowner. The only glitch in this experience was the slow process of gaining city permits. There is no way to control that. I would highly recommend Vinyasun if you have ever wondered if solar was a possibility for your home. They took a lot of time to explain the workings of solar power. They assured me that the system would be secure and storm resistant, and that I had the roof area to support enough power production to be cost effective. The bonus for me was the phone app that shows my energy use and production in real time.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Vinyasun. From start to finish the project was handled professionally, and Jessica, the project manager, kept us informed of its progress each step of the way. All of the workers who came to our home were employees of the company who took great pride in their work, and left us with a professionally installed great looking product. Even the building inspectors who visited our home said the it was one on the best solar installations that they had seen. Best of all, they left our property clean, and in good repair. I highly recommend Vinyasun.

The installation took a couple of days. There was no power outage during the job, and the workmanship is great. The FPL rep who came out to install the new net meter was impressed with the workmanship that Vinyasun does and had also signed up to get solar with them. Shortly after installation there was a piece of trim that has come loose. Vinyasun sent their crew right out to fix the problem.

We are so happy we made the decision to have our solar system installed by Vinyasun. Personally I was sold right away but my partner was skeptical at first because $0 down seemed too good to be true. We shopped around a little and found Vinyasun to be the most reputable and their panels were more attractive with the end skirting than any of the four companies we spoke to. Everything went as planned, no major problems. The permitting process with the city took a while, and there was some confusion about the hybrid water heater but that's our only complaint, and Vinyasun was quick to rectify the issue with the heater. I only wish we could have done it sooner! T energy savings is great, but, I also get a lot of gratification knowing I am doing my part towards a cleaner environment and lessening the demand for fossil fuels responsible for global warming. I am a big believer in alternative fuel technologies and talk with all my friends about the great work Vinyasun has done for us.

I paid $0 out of pocket and they handled all of the permits and installation professionally. Now my electric bill is under $10.00 as I have to pay FPL fixed administrative costs. I am so happy with the results of my conversion and hope more people decide to join me. In addition, I am receiving a tax credit which can be taken over the next three years reducing the cost of the installation.
