+ -1 moreOwner arrived drunk and kept hitting on me. He hadn't even tried to clean my air ducts before he was telling me I needed a special liquid to clean them. He offered me a discount if I agreed to take a shower with him. He must have known I was upset because he kept asking me to write a good review. He never told me the price of it and it wasn't until I saw the receipt for $125 that I gave him a piece of my unsatisfied mind. Stay clear of this one.

We had a mold test done by another company who recommended Vent Pro to us. They retested and I'm happy to say that my home is free of fungi. + -1 moreHe said it was clogged and needed to use liquid spray. He then charged me $90 to do it. I don't know why I agreed to it. If I paid $65 to have my vent cleaned then should that not include cleaning it. I saw what he got out and it was nothing compared to when I first bought this house. I could have used the same guy as last time but he charges $100. I thought I would rather pay $65. So now I paid $155. Needless he say my husband was not happy. And if he was here he never would have agreed to it. Somehow I feel was cheated.

I called him due to dryer reporting poor circulation. He discovered that the roofers had not cut a hole in the roof material to vent the dryer. Major fire hazard! I highly recommend Vent Pro.

I looked in Angie's List and found Venture Pro to be the most reasonable in price, for all the services going to be performed. They arrived on time, were very courteous and professional and most importantly, they actually finished in the time specified. After the job was finished I had my home reinspected and it came back negative. I was so pleased not just because of the results, but because my home now smells better than ever before. If anyone is seeking a reliable and trust worthy company for their home air quality I highly recommend Vent Pro.

+ 0 moreI will say that he did an excellent job cleaning the house vents. Unfortunately, everything after that was a disaster. I had no dryer for three weeks while I waited for the arrival of a $90 part I did not need and spent $75 unnecessary service call. The worst part was he fleeced me out of $250 to clean for mold which I never had. The mold experts both told me that whatever he sprayed in my vents would never have treated mold even if I had it. Buyer Be Ware.
Description of Work: I signed up to have the vents in my house cleaned for $199 which only covered 10 vents. My house has 12 vents so he charged me an extra $50. He insisted he saw black mold when he he got into the vents and tried to convince me that the grey dust in my a/c filter was moldy, although it looked fine to me, not black as he insisted but just gray and dusty. I told him the dryer vent had just been cleaned by the maintenance man in our community. He insisted he did not do a good job. Ok. When he finished with the dryer vent he and his son continued with the vent cleaning of the rest of the house. Abel, the boss and owner, kept insisting the vents needed to be protected with a solution to protec against mold. $250 application for all 12 vents. I fell for this because I have lymphoma and wanted to protect myself because I have a compromised immune system. However, I should have thought about the fact that I have never had any breathing issues at all in the 2 issues since we have lived in this house. Just as they were finishing up, I put my laundry in the dryer and guess what, the dryer was dead!! It worked early in the morning, but once they cleaned the vent,DEAD! Abel insisted it needed a part, that he had nothing to do with it. New part was ordered. Took a long time to arrive and when it did, the dryer Still did not work. Third service man FINALLY pulled the dryer out from the wall to take a look.Abel never reconnected the dryer hose to the vent when he cleaned it! I was 3 weeks with no dryer and spent $ 90 for a part I didn't need, plus $75 for a service call I do not need. Here is the crowning glory of the whole thing : Today I consulted with 2 premium mold remediation companies from Palm Beach, and they both say there is absolutely no sign of mold anywhere inside of my house! (I am happy to furnish the names of these companies if you wish.)

+ -1 moreIt went well but, I had to pay a fair amount of money beyond the deal and I wasn't super happy about that. It was at least $100 extra. They did some extra work for me which was fine. They did a good job. Their responsiveness was excellent. He was excellent. I paid for the visit but somehow, there was some extra money billed in to the final pricing that I wasn't expecting. It was maybe $50 more than it should have been in my opinon.

+ 0 moreAbe arrived and after a few pleasantries went right to work pulling my dryer from the wall and removing the crushed vent tubing. That is then we all jumped as a foot long curly tailed lizard carcase fell out of the hole in the wall. Not funny. Abe worked on the piping up to the ceiling and ended up on the roof. I have taken too long to have this done. Abe also found two other of these large exotic lizards in my dryer housing. He explained that the vent on the roof was not screened and they probably were drawn to the warmth during our harsh South Florida winter. He also replaced my dryer vent hose. Abe was quick to keep everything clean and kept the broom, scoop and trash busy. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He offered to come back to place a screen on the vent if my husband wasn't up to climbing the roof. I have put him on my iPhone schedule for next spring, so no excuses and hopefully not more varmints. I will be using Vent Pro again.

+ 0 moreI purchased the Angie's List coupon for $199 to include air duct cleaning and sanitizing plus cleaning of dryer vent. I see lots of local deals for air duct cleaning at very cheap rates ($35-$99) but I bought the more expensive Angie's List coupon because I wanted the ducts sanitized/freed of mold. They were prompt in arriving here, ahead of schedule. After inspecting our A/C handler in the attic he showed us where the seams needed to be sealed and explained that the "sanitizing" listed on the coupon was really "deodorizing." He sealed the seams with mastic and said to really sanitize the ducts and kill the mold spores they had to use a nontoxic agent that cost $150 per ton; our A/C is 3 tons, so it would be an additional $450 to do this. While this seemed very much like a "bait and switch" tactic, not knowing about procedures nor never having had this done before, we decided it was best to go the whole route. So what started at about $200 ended up costing $650. We are hoping we haven't been ripped off, but there is no way to tell. After they left we opened our garage garbage can and found they had emptied all their breakfast and/or lunch trash from their truck into our unlined can, so we had to hand pick each piece out an put into plastic bags. Not nice. I really don't know if these people are on the up and up or if we were taken advantage of. How do you know? I do feel the description of the service to be given was very misleading. It should not have said "sanitizing" was included, when in reality that cost an additional $450.
