remodeling
+ -1 morerobert ranney(alledged contractor/agent) said it would take 4 weeks and i fired them via lawyer months later. I will be going to court to recover damages I hope!.moldy firring strips installed. Floor not raised to code. pipe under driveway broken and electrical panel burned out.The windows and doors did not pass inspection but they said they hadnt finished...i hired a nother installer who redid them.My lawer at the time was shocked when we all sat down for a meeting Mr. Vecchione did not respond to any complaints did not give the lawyer a complete accounting. This is a very shady operation. Mr. Vecchione has multipal companies and no assets!
Description of Work: enclose a patio.4windows and french door.Robert Ranney said he was a contractor and i signed a contract for $27000.and he (robert ranney)signed it as an agent for McNiff construction.Mr. Vecchione pulled the permits.Then submitted a contract for the job with the building department saying i had a contract with him for 15,000! He attached the last page of the mcniff contract to his! This has been reported to Dept of bussiness and regulation and to the dept of planning and zoneing. The windows were supposed to be 3 by 5 in the contract with mcniff but onthe blue prints they were much smaller.Mr. Vecchione offered to give me the difference in the price of windows 2,000 dollars and i have not heard from him. He has no respect for lawyers or customers.He was on the site three times once to meet my lawyer and once to convince me to make the room smaller (adendum to contract with mcniff and charge me 2500!) And once to say that it was a mistake the the windows were to small.
