Security Networks, Llc

Young man came to the door and informed us that Security Networks, LLC had purchased the contracts of our home alarm system, Vivint. He said since Vivint did not have any techs in New Mexico they had turned over they customers to Security Networks, LLC. He said he needed to look at our system and see if it was updated enough to handle their system. We allowed him in and he said we needed a new alarm system, which he proceeded to install, taking down our current one. We signed paperwork and talked to someone on the phone and all was done. He had us write a letter to Vivint letting them know that we were no longer using them, which he said was a formality. He had letters from other Vivint customers and we copied one of them. A few days later he appeared on our doorstep and told us that since our contract with Vivint was still in effect we needed to contact them and tell them to end it. He also told us if we had problems with Vivint to tell them we wanted to hear the voice recording of us agreeing to extent our contract with them and that they probably did not have one. Also he told us to threaten them with going to the Better Business Bureau if they did not let us out of our contract. He said not to mention to them that he had told us all of this. I called him a few days later and told him to come and get his equipment since we could not get out of the contract with Vivint. He said he would talk to his supervisor and we never heard another word. Yesterday, Sept. 16, 2013, I went looking for the website of Security Networks, LLC and discovered a website from the Florida Better Business Bureau where other people had had salesmen from Security Networks, LLC come to their door with the same story, that Security Networks, LLC had purchased the home alarm company they were with, coming in and changing their system also. In contacting Security Networks, LLC I was told that our contract was canceled on August, 27, 2013, four days after I spoke with the young man, Jordon Konz, that had appeared at our door and caused all of this deceit, telling him to come and get his equipment.
