Noticed more problems and informed me without pushing for add'l fee. I will call them when i am ready for the add'l fix. They also kept in contact regarding the progress. Plus the initial guy who removed the debri showed he goes above and beyond. I hired one other company for maintenance on Angies list and really got the minimum service didn't mention about the clogged the drain. This guys did and took time to show me. That to me is what set them apart. They are now my new service provider.
Description of Work: They fixed a broken part. The original guy who came to maintain did a very thorough job even clearing some debris and grass to help the unit breathe.

Everything went great. When Les the sales agent came out he was thorough and listened to what we wanted (the same cannot be said for the other companies we received quotes from). I had done my homework and figured out our existing unit was too big for our house. When I got quotes from other companies I had to argue with them to convince them I was right (a 1700 sq ft house does not need a 5 ton AC) but when I mentioned it to Les he called up Sansone's engineer (on speaker phone so I could hear) and they went through the specs and confirmed I was right (actually, the engineer made a comment along the lines of "The current system actually works?!?"). When I asked about the placement of the disconnect box, Les again called up their installers and took measurements to figure out what was needed (which ended up being nothing) whereas the other companies gave the knee-jerk "we'll move it" or "we'll pour a new slab" (mind you, there's no room to pour a new slab, but I guess that's not their problem). He pulled up all the information on an iPad and printed out a quote comparing options for several units for me to consider. So even though they weren't the cheapest for the same unit, I went with Sansone. I called on Friday afternoon and the installers were at my house on Saturday morning at 8am. They finished in about 4 hours, cleaned everything spotless, and showed me how everything worked. The new system works perfectly and 1000% more enjoyable in our home (no loud fan constantly cycling on and off without removing the humidity and the back bedrooms are almost the same temperature as the main room where the thermostat is located). If you're looking for a new Carrier A/C system (they install Trane, too) i highly recommend Sansone.

Sansone installed a replacement heating and air unit incorrectly, which ultimately resulted in the heat coming on whenever we ran the air, the heating coil burning out and utility bills at triple the cost. Because the unit was under warranty, they eventually (four years later, after two heating coils burned out!), figured out that the control wire for the thermostat was installed incorrectly and corrected it and replaced the thermostat. They don't however feel they have any responsibility for the extra heating bills that were directly related to the heat and the air conditioning running at THE SAME TIME due to their installation error. Initially they said they would pay the cost, but after we spent the time gathering all the FPL bills and creating a spreadsheet that clearly showed the incremental costs due to their negligence, they decided instead to simply ignore us. We filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, where you can find it among other complaints against them. Not only did Sansone not take responsibility or pay for the costs they directly caused (not to mention the fact that the situation was likely hazardous) but also falsely claimed our unit was not under warranty and gave themselves credit for having fixed it and not charged us. That warranty has now been transferred to a reputable company. I only wish we had started out with them to begin with- as we now are concerned that we made a mistake originally when we followed Sansone's advice to replace rather than repair the original unit, which was only six years old at the time. The text of the original BBB complaint is below. Attached to it was a spreadsheet which showed that during the time the thermostat was malfunctioning our power bills were as high as $31 a day which is three to four times higher than it should have been. It took us awhile to write this review on Angie's because frankly we just wanted to put it behind us, but then I saw Sansone's large ad in the paper and felt that we should share our experience to help other consumers make a full and informed decision. BBB complaint: Improper installation of thermostat resulted in heat and air running at the same time, unit failure and tripled utility bills.In April 2010, we purchased a new 16 seer Carrier HVAC unit from Sansone to replace, at their suggestion, a six year old unit. Service and repair was required four months after installation due to a Freon leak and defective starter control. In 2012, the heating coil burned out and Sansone replaced it as a warranty item alleging the fans were not turning on properly. In 2014, when trying to determine the reason for high air conditioning bills, we finally learned that the problem arose from the original improper installation of the control wire from the thermostat. A problem that Sansone failed to discover or repair despite the first heating coil burn out in 2012. Due to the improper installation, the thermostat was powering on the heating coil when only air conditioning was required. The home is usually only occupied during the winter, but this year was occupied in the summer beginning on 6/11/14. There were two occupants who kept the temperature at a set 79 degrees. As per Florida Power and Light (FPL) bills we later obtained, on 6/16/14 the daily utility cost went from $5.32 the day before to $31.13. We were unaware of any problem until a bill for $324.79 posted on July 1st. We called FPL, who indicated that we should turn off the recirculating system fan as it "was like running the a/c all the time", something we later learned was an overstatement. We turned off the recirculating fan, called FPL on and off for about a week thereafter and determined that the daily cost had dropped to $7 to $8 a day. We asked FPL if this was high, having never lived in southern Florida in the summer, and were told that it was within range. In July the bill was $248 and in August $249. We asked neighbors about their a/c bills and folks with similar sized houses who air condition to a lower temperature, reported lower bills. We called Sansone for service. We were told the heating unit had failed. This is the second time the heating unit had to be replaced. This time, unlike last, the tech took the time to determine what the problem was and why the heating unit had failed and he determined that the common wire to the thermostat had not been correctly installed. He repaired it and replaced the thermostat, and the bills dropped significantly and we have had no further problem. While we truly appreciate the repairman's skill, the error in the initial installation and in the repair two years ago, in falling to find and fix the problem, led to the problem reoccurring and the increased power bills. It is our request that Sansone pay us the $528.06 in additional power costs that were directly, proximately and foreseeably related to Sansone's errors.We determined the additional utility cost attributable to the defective installation of the common wire as follows: The unit was fixed on 9/5/14, so I used the thirty days from 9/5/14 until 10/4/2014 to calculate what the power bill likely would have been without the defect. The cost would have been $92.74. I then compared that figure to the three impacted thirty day periods- 8/6/14-9/4/14, 7/7/14-8/5/14 and 6/7/14-7/6/14. The cost for the three impacted periods was $227.40, $197.99 and $380.89. This represents $528.06 more than the bill would have been (and should have been) had the common wire been installed correctly initially or, at least, had it been fixed the first time the error resulted in damaging a heating unit. I have the spreadsheet with all the FPL provided daily cost figures and will be glad to provide it to the BBB.I provided all this information and the spreadsheet to ******* ********, general manager at Sansone, who asked for more information, which I provided and then indicated by email on 10/24/14 that "We'll take care of it don't worry!", but has since failed to contact us, return phone calls or reply to email. I?ve lived in South Florida for many years and have tried several different A/C & appliance service companies, and I have found that Sansone is the best. Several years ago I purchased a top of line Trane A/C system from Sansone. With the 10 yr parts warranty from manufacuterer and the service / maintenance contract with Sansone I have peace of mind that my system will keep me cool for many more years. But it's important that you keep the service contract current (Don't let it expire! That happened to me once and with these newer model A/C units things can go wrong and even though the manufacturer warrants the parts - you need to have the service contract to cover the labor!) Currently: Last week I called and scheduled an A/C & Dryer duct cleaning and as usual the technicians (Cerene & Danny) who came out were professional, thorough & knowledgeable. Also I appreciated that they used drop cloths and were very clean and respectful of my property. Last year I had a couple of appliance issues and they sent Rick, a very experienced technician who was also very professional, knowledgeable and respectful (he put booties on his shoes to protect my floors). He fixed all the problems and my 8 year old appliances are running beautifully. Overall, they are the only company I recommend for A/C and Appliance maintenance and service!!

Terrible. Ok we just brought a house. In the inspection they stated that the A/C needed a tune up and the coils clean. Our mistake was that we didnt find out what are coils and we did not call the company first. My husband thought it was something simple, because the A/C was working just find and the inspector had stated that it wouldn't cost us much. So that is why we decided to try Angie List and we saw this great deal and went for it. What a Nitemare! The A/C guy came over, he was very nice we have to admit that. He went upstairs looked at the A/C and said ok. There is nothing I can do, you need to clean your coils. So therefore i went and grab the voucher and said we paid for that, thats when he said oh no, thats the Evaporated coil and thats not in the package, its only to inspect it. I Checked he was correct. So basicly he could not do anything. And am like I paid 70.00 just so you could tell me that. On the phone with the company they would not give me a refund because he was there and did a check for 1 minute. When i asked how much it would be to clean the evaportated coil so that he can do the other job, they said to speak to him, the agent at my house, which i thought was a little weird, but ok. He told me it would cost $500 something. Wow!!! Then i ask ok is he going to minus my $70.00 or come back after i get another company to do the evaporated coil for me because that was way too expensive. He said No. So there it is $70.00 for someone to check my coils for 1 minute and not do anything else in the list or even save my voucher for a another time. H*** no i will never use this company again, or let along refer them. I am so disappointed. Yes i was wrong for not checking the coils, I thought it was only one, but I think they should be more explanatory in their description and try to work with the client. And if the service is not preform to schedule it another time.. Where is the Customer satisfaction? Because i sure as H*** was not satisfied. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

After receiving competitive quotes to replace the unit we went with Sansone. Their pricing was reasonable, service reliable and techs were professional and helpful. We also chose Sansone as they spent time with us discussing various options; the costs and benefits. They understood the unusual way that our system was installed. Competitors rushed through the info without proper explanations and did not necessarily understand our system. They provided quick follow up when we did not receive the proper thermostat. The cost of the original service call was deducted from the cost of the unit. Ian, the original and follow up tech was terrific. He went out of his way to assist us.

When I contacted Sansone on Monday, 10/15/2014, they were responsive and were available to address the difficulty immediately. The repairperson they sent, Ian, was professional, knowledgeable and personable. In fact, when he first diagnosed the problem, he was training a new repairperson. Apparently, a part needed to be replaced. Ian did the diagnosis and temporary fix until the part could be ordered and installed. That took a couple of days and he returned to install the replacement part. Both the labor and parts were under warranty because the unit - a Carrier A/C - was installed in April 2014.
Description of Work: The new a/c unit - a Carrier a/c and condenser - turned off twice. The 2nd time, I was unable to get it to turn back on. I contacted Sansone on a Saturday after their 3pm closing time, left phone and email messages but no one responded until the following workday, Monday, October 15, 2014. As a result, I was fortunate to contact another A/C company to do a minimal repair until Sansone, who had installed the unit, was available to handle the job.

we tried to call the compary and and the first call ended with a promise of a call back. No one called back We called a second time and asked for a service manager. We got voice mail and again no call back So far we have spent $600 and still have the same problem
Description of Work: first contacted 4/4 2014. AC was making whistleing noise. Vendor identified problem as bad expansion valve an recommended replacement cost $97 for service call. 4/11/2014 expansion valve replaced cost ***390.51. 7/1/2014 Called vendor stated whistle noise has recurred and technician was despatched. We traced the problem to the same valve . Technician stated the warrenty was only 30 days for the part and we would have to pay the entire cost to replace it cost $97. Since it didnt affect the performance we chose to forgoe a $500 expense to replace it again. 09/23/20`14 . We could no longer stand the noise that has gotten worse so again the technician was dispatched. This time the tech said we needed a solenoid installed at that rheem ac's were just noisy.we were charged another $97 service call and a bogus 50 dollar labeor charge We already knew from the prior tech that the expansion valve was the problem

I moved into my home just months ago and the downstairs AC went out shortly thereafter. I initially called Sansone because this was the service provider the previous owners had used and they were the company that installed all the AC units in the house a few years back. I luckily had the warranty contract for my units which stated the warranty was fully transferrable. I spent hours working with Paul at Sansone trying to get him to get service and confirm the warranty information. First he said it wasn't under warranty. When I told him I had the warranty in hand, he then told me it wasn't transferrable. When I painstakingly explained to him several times that it was in fact transferrable, he then told me I would need to get something in writing from the previous owners in order to effect the transfer, even though there was no such stipulation written anywhere in the Carrier warranty contract! After several phone calls back and forth with Paul and Sansone's contract Department, I finally called the manufacturer who said all Sansone needs to do is fill out a transfer form and send to their local distributer. Yet after all m calls with Carrier and Sansone, I was getting no where. Carrier had to raise the issue to their upper level support team who called Sansone directly and then told me that a particular person at Sansone would be getting back to me to complete the transfer. But guess what? I never heard back from Sansone. I called to follow up directly with the rep given to me by Carrier (can't recall his name) and he still never called me back! Now i have wasted an entire day on the phone with various people at Sansone and Carrier and I am still sitting in a 95 degree home. I ended up calling another authorized dealer who confirmed my warranty and provided excellent service. Coincidentally, my other AC unit went out a week later. Turns out Sansone installed the UV filter incorrectly and the light burned out the electrical wires. Lovely. So not only did Sansone lie to me and give me the run around for a day, but they also apparently had an incompetent tech do the install.

The responsiveness was great. On the installation day the installers showed up on time. They were profressional and courteous. They made sure everything was kept clean and cleaned up everything before they left. They were above all knowledgeable on the system and did not hurry the tasks at hand.

We had gotten bids from 4 Air Conditioning companies a year ago when we thought we would have to replace our AC. All the bids for a new 3 ton unit were the same give or take a hundred or two. Turns out it lasted another year, the unit was 11 years old when it finally died. This happened on a Saturday with the temperature around 95 during the day so needless to say we were in a big rush to get it replaced. We first called Miller Air who came over and verified the unit needed to be replaced BUT because this was a Saturday, no one at Miller Air could help us till Monday, the sales staff was off and no one was on call. I then called two other companies...one called me back a few hours later. The other was Sansone where a sales person was working!! They pulled up their bid from over a year ago, agreed to honor that bid and said they would install it the NEXT DAY!! Sunday!!! They were here at 7 AM Sunday morning and installed the new unit. They were friendly, efficient, cleaned up after themselves. I have no complaints at all.

The technician came out when he was supposed to and was very efficient. He brought the vacum with him and even put on booties as to keep my house clean. He vacumed the carpet where he has been working as well. He was extremely pleasant, respected my property, and did a great job.

They were awesome! They were extremely professional, courteous, and organized. The were neat, accommodating, and respectful. They are definitely a company that I would use again in a minute.

They've been pretty capable and that's fine. They've done a confident job but I'm not sure of what's the cost. They have better work than anyone else but they're pretty expensive to me. They do respond properly and as quickly as they will, take phone calls and they come out when they said they will. That's probably I can say and I've been satisfied.
Description of Work: Yes and we had a service contract that covered us for a year. They evaluated the functioning of the air conditioning system, they make sure that it was draining properly and they told us that they weren't able to completely get it up to specs. They thought it was aging and it's needed to be replaced and they also gave us an estimate. They checked if it was working properly and for the last time, it was more on maintenance.

They did an okay job. The only negative thing is I have to wait from Friday to Monday; I guess their very busy or they don't work in the weekend. When they came, it took them ten minutes to resolve it.

However, we do offer Saturday service at regular rates and we also offer Sunday emergency service.
