Safelite AutoGlass

Badly. They gave me an appointment and took my credit card number, but did not arrange to get the window shipped in, so there was nothing to install. Went to another shop (Charlies) which did the job promptly and professionally, with a brand new window, for less than half the price Safelite had quoted.

They gave me an appointment for an urgently needed repair, but didn't get the needed part shipped in. There was a long delay. Got the work done promptly and professionally elsewhere for half their price.

The windshield replacement was done at the home. I made an appointment and was given a four hour window for the day of the scheduled appointment. I received a call the day of the repair and the technician (Richard) showed up at the beginning of the scheduled visit (very punctual). The work was completed in about 45 minutes and looks good. I have no expectations of a problem (leak) but will update this review if a problem develops. No price for the work performed is given because it was covered by insurance. Richard was very professional and friendly and appeared to do a fine job.

They did it for me at my office. I had a smashed window, they vacuumed it all up. It was one guy who did the work.

Very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable from the beginning. Upon making my appointment I was also informed to take the van to local shop so they could "crash wrap" (weatherproof) it for free. I did not have to make an appointment for that and the gentleman that crash wrapped it was so friendly and professional. I paid a little extra to have the gentleman come to my house to replace the window. I think it was like 20 or 25 dollars. They sent an email with a picture of the technician and he phoned me in the morning to narrow down his arrival. Work was performed quickly and I could not have asked for anything more.

I've had good experience with them. They didn't charge me anything, my insurance covered it. The quality was fine. There were no issues. It was excellent, no problems, no leaks, nothing like that. The service worker was professional.

I got my windshield replaced last June. They wouldn't do anything on it in the spring because I got another chip in the windshield so that voided the warranty. We've used them in the past. They've done great. I had the windshield put in in Florida.

The work was fine except they gave me an original quote and then I decided to go through my insurance. After I went through my insurance, the quote doubled. The way they did business wasn't very honest.

They used their own after market glass instead of buying the right one from Infiniti and when we went down the road it would whistle but not leak. Two weeks later they came back to put the right windshield on.

Safelite wold have come to our house -- or any other location -- but I chose to get an appointment at their nearby facility. Service was friendly, prompt, expertly done, and reasonably priced. I would use them again.

The cost was through my insurance. They come to your home and do it, and not only do they repair your window, they vacuum your car, and wash your other windows. The interaction with them was great, and the work they did was great.

It was a fantastic experience. They came to my house, at the time they said they would be here. The took care in inspecting my car before they started to do any work. The work was completed and they not only replaced the windshield they vacuumed my car and cleaned the windows. Excellent customer service!!

The individual that installed my 2 windows (front and back) did a good job. Came early, did a fine job, left in an hour and a half later. Safelite was kind enough to issue two invoices (ONE so I could be reimbursed because of damage and, TWO for the scratched front window I had replaced at my convenience). I found them to be completely unprofessional and customer un-friendly. The service was scheduled and the technician called prior to arrival and said there would be a balance of $554.18. I checked with my insurance company and as always, because this is Florida, there is no deductible for windshield repair. I was told by the insurance company that they had a contract with Safelite and there would be no problem. But Safelite keeps saying they don't have confirmation. They went as far as to tell me the insurance company was not answering the phone, despite the fact that I have called four times today and they answered each time. When our insurance agent gets involved (we are a large company with several locations and over 30 vehicles) it all turns out that the person who took the original order at Safelite, failed to enter our coverage as and quot;comprehensiveand quot;. That is what caused a day of grief for so many people. I had to take a truck out of service all day, for nothing. And now it has to be taken out of service again on Monday. So Safelite ends up costing me more money than the windshield is worth. As a side note, to add salt to the wound, Safelite gives a number on their website for and quot;Customer Serviceand quot;. When called, they inform you that it is and quot;Executive Serviceand quot; ?!?!?!! I was informed that they only deal with warranty issues and would have to transfer me to sales. They may want to re-think their telephone number listings.

Wonderful! A large Royal Palm branch fell 30 feet onto my car, smashing my middle window. I called my mechanic, who told me the company they have come out to the shop and replace glass, so I called them. Spoke to a rep in different time zone, but was very personable and friendly, like he actually cared about my car. This was at 8:15 am and within 10 minutes was scheduled to have a van come out to my house and replace the window. I could have driven to the shop 10 miles away, but for only $20 extra they would come to me. I couldn't resist! An email was sent giving me all of the information about the repair, a time to expect the technician, and purchase information. After that, another email telling me who the technician would be, when he will show up, and the price again. So far I was very impressed. Tech called as he was leaving his previous job to ask if it was raining and if I had a garage to use if needed due to the rain. He told me he'd be there at 2 pm and was there at 2 pm. Very friendly, got to work right away, and finished within 50 minutes, 10 minutes ahead of the estimate given. Jimmy the tech did an awesome job and I am very happy I called. Will use them again and would also refer them to others!
