 + -1 moreContract signed in June 2006 to replace and fix 75 broken tiles as a result of Hurricane Wilma. Quoted $2000 for the job. Told no money needed to be put down and that payment upon completion of the job would be fine. Was told that the permit would be applied for ASAP and that work would begin immediately thereafter. Permit wasn't pulled until late July/early August. I was told that work would begin the week of August 7th. On August 24th I received a letter (no phone call) stating that the company was releasing us from our contract as they were no longer doing business in South Florida and that we could obtain a change of contractor form for the permit that's already been pulled (permit number was supplied in the letter). For the past 3 months I have had to constantly call this company to find out the status of the work and was told "soon". Now, I have to find a new roofer.
