 + -1 moreI was going to purchase a complete bedroom set and started to fill out their form for credit. Before finishing the application, I asked the clerk what was the interest rate on their credit. She informed me that they do not charge interest, they charge fees. At that point, I said, "Forget it." I then used my debit card and paid $969.87 for the mattress only. Three weeks later I received a letter from GE Capital Bank that my credit application with Rooms-To-Go was turned down. I did NOT make an application for credit. They did this against my specific instructions to, "forget it." I do not like companies running credit checks without my permission and in this case, not only did they not have my permission, they did so against my specific wish NOT TO.
