They worked everyday after project was started. They were careful to not damage lawn or sidewalks.

. The estimating process, incl. paperwork with details, went very smoothly. Contractor tried (successfully) to complete job promptly before we left on vacation. We are pleased with the actual resurfacing. However, 3 items contributed to our displeasure/discomfort, and reduced the overall impression to and quot;Cand quot;. 1) When work started, the tech did not come to the door, he let himself in in back, and began pumping out the pool. When I approached him about this, he became surly and defensive. He then left without a word, and left the pump running. The drain hose was left stretched across our property. I had to take it upon myself to unplug the pump. The next day the gardener ran the mower across the hose, shredding it. Contractor seemed unconcerned about this state of affairs, which frankly unnerved us. 2) There were some small calcium deposits on the surface tiles. Although some lip service was made to removing this, it was not done (Contractor had offered to replace the tiles, obviously for additional charge). We were surprised today, to see that our pool service had removed the deposits, at no additional charge. 3) Of greatest concern was the circumstance, that after contractor had removed our old pool heater, they did not cap the gas line, which could have led to a dangerous situation if we hadn't noticed, brought it to their attention, and finally had it capped. Overall, we thought the work needed closer supervision from a superior.

We had our pool remodeled last year and have had the Pool Doctor provide all maintenance since then. The pool has never looked or felt better!! They come every week, vacuum and skim all debris, and keep the water balanced with all the right chemicals. I love never having to do a thing!!

Everything went well with them. They are very professional and good.

They just come on time and everything. I will continue using them.

The guy came out to check if everything was OK, but he didn't call me. So I don't know when he was there. Then the guy called me and asked when we would like to start the service. The price is fine, because it is a two month deal. It is like $50 for two months.

Once there was an agreement, the service started very fast. In fact there was a little bit of communication problem between Pool Doctor and their supplier in trying to make a delivery when no one was home. The crew worked hard and long hours. In fact on one occasion they were continuing to work through a thunder storm (not to smart). I suggested to them that they should not be working in a pool while it was lightning. There were two reasons that I only rated them as a B versus A inspite off the hard work and my satisfaction with the coping work itself. . Number 1 was price, because after I saw what the pool edge looked like after they removed the existing coping, I think a repair of existing would have been sufficient. A Pool Doctor employee more than a year ago had looked at the pool and said that all the coping needed to be replaced because of hollow spots behind the coping. Number 2 - once the new coping was installed there needed to be sand put back as filler behind the coping. The crew was not going to do anything about filler until I complained. Then they put in a little sand and left me the bag to do the rest myself. My entire deck is brick. Aside from the sand issue, the work crew did an outstanding job on pool and debris cleanup.

We have a large pool compared to our friends and neighbors -- 30 x 15 -- that's not screened-in and is near a large oak tree that sheds constantly. Our Pool Doctor serviceman does a thorough job of cleaning the pool each week (compared to other companies we've used where the guy swings by, scoops a few leaves and is gone in 10 minutes). He arrives like clockwork every Thursday morning, and no task is ever left unfinished. He's also diligent about noticing when a repair is needed, and the Pool Doctor office contacts us right away via both e-mail and written estimate. We're been very pleased with Pool Doctor -- no complaints whatsoever.

First, please keep in mind, I paid this company a total of $817 - $600 for the acid wash and $217 for the repairs. They did a good job with the acid wash. Their price was $100 higher than the other company that I got a quote from but I decided to hire Pool Doctor because they had better ratings here on Angie's List. They showed up on time and did a good job with acid wash. Then they dropped the ball. First, they never communicated to let me know when they were going to come in to finish the job. I had to call them to find out. The guy who came in to do the repairs just had a bad attitude. Just didn't want to be there at all. He complained about why the other person who came in to do the acid wash didn't put the light fixture in its place. He then told me that my pool was leaking. I told him that my pool was not leaking and it must be the valve as I'd had this issue before. He changed the valve that day and left without telling me anything. I had to call the company to find out what had happened and when they were coming back to finish the job. Replacing the valve fixed the issue with water leaking from the jacuzzi into the pool but that very same day, my pool started to lose water. It had never lost water before. I called the company again to let them know. The lady on the phone said, it might have been the lighting fixture. She said, it's possible that as the guy was trying to put the light back into its place, he might have moved the conduit a bit which may cause the leak. They came back -- of course, all of this is taking time, they never show up the next day. At the end, they told me that the leak was not from the light. Now, they had to come back to a do leak detection. I said nothing and sent their check. I called another guy to come in and check my pool. He came in with his goggles, got into the pool and discovered that there was a hole about 3/4 inch in diameter exactly where the light is screwed to the pool wall. He could stick his screw driver into the hole. He also told me that the screws were not the right screws. He patched up the hole and my pool stopped leaking. Considering the fact that the pool had never leaked prior to any of this, one can conclude that the guy with the bad attitude put his screw driver through the pool while trying to put the light fixture into its place. Here's the summary: 1. The acid wash guy was good. Had a good attitude. Showed up on time and did a good job which is the reason why I'm not giving this company all F's. 2. The repair guys attitude was terrible. Had to come back a few times -- sometimes he was missing what he needed. But he did a terrible job. Never communicated and damaged the pool while trying to fix it. 3. The company does not do a good job in communicating with their clients. 4. Their prices are high. I think this is a text book example of bad management ruining a good company. They hired some bad apples and it's all down hill from there.

They did a great job, very honest and good people to deal with.

They are professional, and polite. We have been satisfied with their services.

Prompt, excellent service, and they're great. I am going to continue to use them for weekly service.

They are very reliable. The same gentleman comes out every week to address my pool. It's $20 per week so I find it's very inexpensive. They take care of everything and I have large trees and dogs.

We like him a lot, he comes when he says he is going to come, and our pool looks fantastic. He does really good work.

They are coming out once a week to maintain the pool and make sure no leaks, etc. I have been satisfied.

Rob C, the contractor was extremely reliable, professional, and dedicated to make sure the job was completed 100% to my satisfaction. He kept me updated. He kept me updated weekly with photos and written summery.

They come every week. It's a weekly charge for their services. They are professional and very punctual. They come every Wednesdays. They are always within a ten minute window of when they are supposed to show up. The pool is twenty years old so there have been certain mechanical things and it has been repaired all the time. They have been proactive when they saw something that needed to be done. They don't wait for it to break but they call and say that they have noticed it and fixed it. I've been extremely pleased with everything. We had a leak, they were able to find it and fix it, timely and very cost effectively. I plan to continue to use them.

He's been doing good job. He got our pool very nice and clear. He is maintaining it and doing a good job. We've been using him for about two months. He just comes whenever, there is no set time.

I still have problem with it. I know I have to get a new pump but I would have preferred if they would have told me that. That would have resolved the problem in the short. They were prompt. They made an appointment right away. It may have been due to the person they sent. It could be his lack of experience and he was rushing. $85 was reasonable for their visit. I would probably not use them in the future.

Due to operator error on our part, our pool became a nightmare due to chemical overload. After reading reviews, my husband called the Pool Doctor and that afternoon the tech came out to analyze the situation. We received a call back that day with the estimate. After deciding to go with them, the tech returned and started the process. He was relentless in his efforts and ended up coming out four days in a row until it was up to par. The pump wouldn't keep its prime so it took longer to lower the water level. A week later, it was crystal clear and we couldn't be happier. Now he continues to come same time every week.

It turned out okay. It wasn't overbudget and they came back. The office staff is very nice. Many of the technicians are foreign so when it is a complicated issue and it is more complicated when English is the second language. It is not their fault and they can speak two languages better than me but when they are saying to turn this valve and that valve, I need them to slow down so it makes it a little tough. They were not inexpensive but they are average. The ladies in the office took care of me. I had them out here 5 times and they didn't charge more. I would probably use them again. I am starting to understand them better. It took quite a few phone calls. I didn't get a deal on the price. They knew what they were doing and they did quality work.

They showed up on time and were very courteous. They did an ok job. I chose to switch companies. I had to call him five different times because of algae. I was actually watching once from inside my home and saw that he didn't scrub the pool as he was supposed to. The owner was very apologetic and wanted to make everything right. He would have bent over backwards to help me.

They come weekly. They show up every week. I will use them again in the future.

Overall, I now have a pool with everything working properly. It was a game of "wack-a-mole" for a while since as they fixed one thing, they found something else wrong. In the end everything was fixed and I felt I was charged a fair price. They are not the cheapest around, but the know what they are doing. I did find that dealing with the customer service department, email was the most efficient. I could get a response quickly by email. It took longer when I called and left a message.

If I note something that isn't working right, he'll tell me how to deal with it. It goes reasonably well. I'm not used to having a pool. The guy is very consistent. He is here every Tuesday right around noon. The water is always in good conditions. There are some problems with the pool that he not been able to correct, but I don't know if it is his fault. We have little black algae spots that occur here and there. He hasn't been able to get rid of it.
