When re-roofing your house, there are several important details to consider. -Inspecting the existing roof, assess the conditions of your current roof. Look for signs of damage, leaks, or wear. -Choosing the right materials: Option include asphalt shingles, metal, tile,. - Permits and regulation: checking local building department and HOA, for codes and obtain the necessary documents and permits ,for the re roof ,or leak repair 3 Preparation: -Remove old roofing, strip off the existing shingles, tile, metal, wood shake, underlayment and (wall metals, where needed) -Inspect Decking: Examine the roof deck(plywood) for damage or rot, Replace or repair as needed -Installing underlayment: lay down new underlayment (paper), to provide a moister barrier. - replacing ventilation, penetrations: install new vents and other roof penetrations. 4- installation: Shingles, Tile, Metal, following manufacture guidelines for installation. we start at the bottom and work our way up. Sealing all penetrations, wall metals, vents. 5- Clean up: - Debris removal, dispose of old roofing materials responsibly. -Quality inspection of new roof for any defects or issues. - Final details: paint and seal exposed wood, fascia. Clean-up of surrounding areas - City inspections and warranty: schedule all periodic inspections and explanation of the labor and material warranty,
