I was very fortunate in getting Mickey's tec Brian Cahill. When I discovered one of the most unwanted of house horrors (a wet floor), it was Brian who was working after hours and Brian who tried to talk me through procedures. The office was prompt and very professional in putting me in touch with him the following day. He kept me informed until he was able to arrive. The previous water tank had to be replaced, and Brian dealt with everything in a first rate manner. I am very pleased to recommend Mickey's for this most undesirable circumstance.

Things did not go very well. The owner of the company gave me an ulcer. He was verbally abusive and not very good to work with. The plumbers that he sent out were very nice guys, but many times they were sent out blind without any instruction or guidance. For the last half of the project, the owner refused to get on the phone with me when I would bring up issues. Below is my final email to the receptionist addressing overall project: This email is per your request because it appears as though there is some confusion on the tub. Here are the facts: 1. Mickey's required that I have the tub on site prior to any work being done on the underground plumbing (I completed this per request) 2. Mickey's required that I have the tub specification on site prior to doing any work on tub (I completed this per request) 3. After all this, the plumbing underground for the tub was located in the WRONG position. If the tub was mounted over the stub out position, the tub would have been buried into the shower wall about 6 inches (Brian can confirm this). As a result, Brian had to cut the finished tile in our finished bathroom to move the line. The tub is still not centered. There is a 12" gap on the left side of tub and 3" gap on the right side of tub. Brian can confirm this. (see picture). 4. The painters already had the first coat of paint on all the walls so they were nice enough to hang plastic round both entrances to the bathroom show when Brian cut the tile floor up to correct the plumbing so damage would be limited to the surrounding areas (Brian can also confirm this). 5. Brian set the acrylic tub with silicon but I do not believe that he fully cleaned area or filled it with water to weigh it down. When I saw the tub at the end of the day, there is nothing on the tub to make sure the seal dried tightly. I believe the tub should have been weighted down to give best changes of successfully setting (Brian should be able to confirm). 6. The painting company is a reputable Palm Beach company with long time employees (they do not sub out work). The company owner was onsite during the project with his employees and everyone confirmed that they did not enter bathroom or touch the tub. Once again, the painting company confirmed that no one entered the bathroom. 7. The plastic remained up on both entrances to the bathroom for at least two days after the tub was set. 8. There is no evident that the painters moved the tub. Kirk's response is pure speculation and not grounded in facts. As you may be learning, the plumbing on this project has been riddled with issues such as: - There was no one "owning" or "managing" the Plumbing portion of this project. Mickey's sent at least 8 different plumbing subcontractors onsite to complete the project: Taz Plumbing (3 - father, son & worker), Brandon, Brian, Chris, James, an older gentleman started the trim work but only worked a couple hours). As a result each new sub that Mickey's sent out came out blind and didn't know what the previous sub did. I heard the frustration from each and every person that Mickey's sent out here. - The Cabana sink/drain was installed to high. It was roughed in too high and had to be corrected. To correct this issue, the new concrete block wall has to be broken broken apart (I believe James identified and corrected this issue). Other contractor's had to step in to repair the masonry and stucco after this error was corrected. (see picture) - Hot Water runs for two bathrooms and laundry room was NEVER connected. Yes, you heard that correctly. Three rooms in the house had hot water lines but there was No Water Bring Supplied to them. This was discovered after fixtures were being tested. As a result, Brandon had to run a new hot water line along the outside of the house and then had to break through the finished concrete wall and into the finished wall in bedroom #2. (picture attached) - The Master vanity sinks were rigged with an accordion drain. I didn't think these were to code but Brian told me that this was the only way this could be done (Brian can confirm this). Fortunately, the inspector also recognized that this was not to code and Brandon corrected the issue (see before pictures attached). - The AV under the stairs was just hanging out of what would be a finished wall. I sent at least two emails with pictures to your office months ago asking what the plans for this would be. Kirk sent me an email saying that it was a "studor" vent. I appreciated the communication, but was really trying to solve the vent issues before we finished the walls. When Brian arrived, he was not sure how to finish this and said he would have to talk with the Office (Brian can confirm this). This issue was flagged on your final inspection and ultimately corrected by Brandon by removing vent from under stairs and moving it into the wall (see picture from inspection) - Once we started testing the plumbing the the drain lines started to back up in the bathrooms and kitchen. As a result, I had to hire someone to get a snake the clean out by the septic tank. We cleared the line (picture attached). I have been acting in good faith the get this project completed but have the feeling that I am getting stonewalled by your office. We are at the finish line and would like to get this project completed. Brandon did a great Job for you to get the project through Final inspection. I would like Brandon to finish up these small items so we can bring this project to a close. Please give me a call on Monday to let me know when these items can be completed. Respectfully submitted. Todd
