I live in Western Lake Worth near Wellington. Jeff came to take measurements for kitchen countertop granite installation. I have what I think it a fairly large kitchen with a large pennisula countertop. It was explained to him that the entire pending kitchen remodel was dependent upon the granite countertops, as we were going to try to re-use some of the current granite, and then install some new granite, and were going to depend on him for his expertise in making that happen. I asked how long he has worked with granite, and he said, "since I was born." He said he'd call me and/or email the quote within a week. One month later, I've left 10 messages for him (no one ever answers his phone, it's always an answer machine.) I've left voice mail messages, and he has never once returned my call in an entire month. He does not have a website. His business card does not have an email address on it. Leaving a voice message was the only way to contact him. Today he answered the phone (I blocked my phone number from appearing). I asked him about the job he came to quote a month ago. He said he was sorry he didn't contact me -- he lost the piece of paper with my email address (wasn't that the piece of paper with all my measurements to work the quote?). Even though he lost my email address, I asked why he hadn't returned my phone calls since I'd left MANY messages? He said he was "busy doing work, trying to get caught up." He asked if I still wanted the estimate, and I asked if he had completed it? He said, "No, I haven't done it. Do you still want me to do the quote?" I told him "No thank you." I explained to him that he has held up my entire kitchen remodel for an entire month. He replied again he "was busy." Why would I hire you if you are too busy to even return a phone call or complete a quote??? I told him it was obvious that he did not want the work, or he would have at least called to let me know he was backed up, or give me the reason that he did not want the job (maybe he was out of my stated budget, etc.) Instead he just left me hanging. I told him I was going to leave the review of our transaction -- or lack of it--- on Angie's List and he seemed totally unconcerned. I cannot recommend that anyone use Jeff Bogle regardless of the quality of the work (if you can get it), or his pricing (which I have no way of knowing), because he simply does not return phone calls, and there is no other way to contact him (no one else at his company, no website, no email), so you will be at his mercy to call if/when he is ready to call back. In today's business environment, where contractors are complaining about decreased business, if they are so unprofessional as to not return a phone call after ONE MONTH, then they should not be recommended for hire under ANY circumstances.
