My air handler had slipped off the base as diagnosed by another provider who was unable to do the work. I contacted Gulfstream and paid for the $29 visit after a conversation with them. The technician came the next day at a time very convenient to me. He called ahead while on the way (which I like a lot). I explained the previously diagnosed problem to which the tech agreed. He crawled under the unit and with bear brute force lifted the unit back onto the frame from below. In addition, he inspected the parts of the unit as well. Very thourough. Charged me for a half hour labor on top of the $20 coupon. Total $69. Money well spent and would call them again.My impression was that of a highly ethical provider who has a real concern for his Angie's :List reviews.

My air conditioning unit completely shut down and this provider was unable to come out for another 48 hours. Since it's South Florida in July, I had to call an emergency air conditioning repair company and they performed the services I was going to have this company do. This company was VERY polite, attempted to schedule me in ASAP, but the timing just didn't work out since my air conditioning was completely out.

Gulfstream Cooling did a fantastic job. My old original AC (12 years) had finally quit working and it was time for a new system. Now I probably could have fixed the old system but since it was 12 years old I knew this would just be the beginning of throwing money at it so I opted to just replace it. I had 6 different contractors come out and give me estimates. I usually only get 3 different bids on jobs but since this was for a new system and a larger expenditure I wanted to get a few extra estimates. For the brand system that I went with (Bryant) Gulfstream was the lowest price. They were also the most professional out of all of the contractors that gave me estimates. They answered all of my questions and took the time to explain everything to me. They showed up on time when it was time to install the new system and the installation went very smoothly. They were careful to protect my flooring for the interior portion of the installation. When they completed the job they cleaned up everything and it was like they were never here. I waited a month to write my review as I wanted to see what the savings would be on my FPL bill. I am single so the FPL bill is never really very high anyway but I did see some nice savings. My last bill with the old system was $129 and the bill I just received (the first bill with the new system) was $83. I did a lot of research on picking an AC System and the contractor. I can save you a bunch of time...just go with Gulfstream.

Our A/C quit during the night, Sunday Night! (Outside temp was 91 degrees, humidity 83% and not even a breeze blowing). The inside temperature reached 85 degrees so with a small fan blowing directly at me I began to research Angie's List for "Super Service" service providers at 3AM. I called Gulfstream Cooling at 8AM and talked to Jason Tota, the owner, who committed to having a technician at our home between 2 - 4PM. Jason called at about 11:30AM and advised that his technician would be at our home by 2:00PM. Our A/C was up and running by 2:45PM, the technician, Victor, was right on time; he called in advance which allowed time to come home from work and meet with him. Victor, our service technician, very knowledgeable very professional. I highly recommend Gulfstream Cooling and Victor the technician, who performed the work. Our home was built in September of 2008, the A/C unit is a 60,000 BTU, 5 ton Carrier forced air, split system.

Jason was very personable over the phone and suggested the best value coupon for the issue. The condensate drain was clogged and water had built up. Gulfstream cooling arrived and immediately corrected the problem. He also gave advice on which filters to use and then did a thorough system checkout.

Very detailed and comprehensive in his work. Took the time to explain to me the overall condition of each of the units and what to watch for as they age. Feel that everything that was needed was done and not one more thing.

Gulfstream Cooling arrived on time and started to clean the AC Air Handler. When they opened the unit, the coils were covered with rust, which meant they couldn't be cleaned. They also checked the Freon, the temperature differential and replaced my A/C Filter, which had been installed backwards by the prior owner. Based on this call I decided to purchase a new A/C System/

AC started blowing hot air on Sunday. I called provider because it was highly rated on Angie's List. Jason was very professional taking my call and scheduling the technician's visit. Technician called 30 minutes to tell me he was on his way. Victor arrived on time and was very professional. He ran a diagnostic on the unit and within 10 minutes found the problem. He explained what the device was and how he concluded that it was not functioning. He replaced the capacitor and checked the system for other possible issues. He told me everything else was ok. His total time at my house was about 30 minutes.

Great, technician was very pleasant and thorough.

The air conditioning stopped working last night. Went to Angie's List first thing this morning and called these folks based on the great reviews. They had a technician in the area and squeezed us in. Victor was here an hour later. He quickly diagnosed the problem and showed me the bad condenser fan motor and blown compressor capacitor. Victor had both changed out in an hour and by 10:30 AM the house was cool again. Great service at a fair price!

Great! They were prompt and professional, we just decided to upgrade on Angie's List to an A/C tune-up instead of a service call so bought the other voucher offered instead.

The technician was able to arrive earlier than scheduled to diagnose the system. He was very thorough, including an electronic check for leaks, which he found. His findings were sent to the office, and I got a written estimate with very specific recommendations for a replacement unit for the size of my house. When I called the following morning, in order to decide among the bids, Jason was very helpful in explaining the pros and cons for the system Gulfstream Cooling was offering, along with a reasonable price. I chose not to use this company because of the brand they offered--Consumer Reports suggested another brand was better. But This company was very responsive and informative to my questions, and I would recommend them.

Found Gulfstream Cooling on Angie's List and called based on all the great reviews, since I have not been happy with my prior a/c service company. Jason the owner came out quickly and explained my choices for a new system that was needed, and gave me an excellent price on a 5 ton 2-stage 17 Seer unit, only $4,400 including all taxes, labor and rebates from FPL. I had priced this out to over $5,000 so was very happy with the quote. They arrived on the date and time they said they would and had in all done in less than a day, and the new unit controls humidity as well, making for a much cooler house. The 2-stage 17 SEER also means much less energy consumption to achieve the cooler temperature. A week later I was ready to service the older remaining unit, and Jason, the owner pointed me to one of the online Angie's Deals, which saved me $20.00 on the service call - he didn't have to do that, but it was a courtesy I very much appreciate. While on the service call he also found a small leak in the attic at the box that goes from the handler to the duct work, and he fixed this without charging me extra. Many companies would have tried to tack that on as an "extra" charge above the service call. This is a small, family owned company of very reputable and professional people that definitely know what they are doing and are very service oriented. I have found my new AC service company and am VERY happy with my choice!

We are extremely happy and will use them on a regular basis.

Gulfstream was called last minute, as is usually the case when fixing AC, and they responded to our rental property within a few hours. The technician quickly isolated the problem to a wire being cut-probably by a landscaper. So many other service providers would have taken advantage of my wife being there alone and find "ghost" problems to inflame the bill-but not Gulfstream Second time in a week we needed them and they over delivered each time. I have already told at least 5 people about what a great company they are. No need to look in phone book-just call Gulfstream you wont be disappointed!!!

After seeing excellent reviews and speaking to Jason by phone, I was excited to have the company come out to service multiple unit. Jason kept us apprised of a change in schedule due to significant rain delaying the initial service date. The technician arrived promptly and got to work cleaning the functional units. While I can't speak to the quality of work that was done within the units, the tech did not replace any of the filters and instead told me which to buy. I believe replacing filters was a part of the Angie's List Special. Also, the insulation on the outdoor unit lines was not replaced. Finally, one unit was not functional and the technician told me I would be receiving a call from the office with a quote for a replacement. I never received a call so we used another company to replace the unit.

It went very well. When I felt that my A/C should have been getting colder after the visit, then sent out another technician to ensure I was totally satified. They suggested remedial work that needed to be done on my unit, with an estimated cost, possible problems......but NO PRESSURE SELLING! Great Job!

We purchased the AC maintenance special on Angie's List for Gulfstream Cooling. From the beginning, they were very prompt to respond and schedule the appt. The tech (Andersen?) called when he was on his way and was right on time. My husband said he was very thorough and professional. We have an older AC unit so he did the maintenance but also replaced some parts that absolutely needed to be replaced, for an additional cost. The house smells cleaner now! We will definitely use Gulfstream again for our AC repair and replacement. Excellent!

These guys are a first-class operation, from start to finish. I was a first-time customer. Jason was prompt in scheduling my appointment for the following week, and technician Victor arrived right on time. Victor even called me by phone the day of service to let me know he was on his way and would be arriving on time. (Thoughtfulness like that is unheard of here in South Florida!) He explained to me exactly what he would be doing, worked diligently, and then again explained exactly what he had done. He answered my questions, dumb as they might have been, and made recommendations for future maintenance of the a/c units. I will definitely be a loyal customer to these folks. A+ from me.

I am a new resident who ran a family business in the Northland. I have been flimed and flamed by many con artist since my move. I did not think that an honest, reliable service provider existed in this area. I have been proven wrong by Gulf Steam Cooling. Excellent and professional work. Follow up calls preformed happily even though they could have honestly claimed, as I expected that they would, that the problem was not part of the installation contract nor directly related to their work. I normally do not write reviews but this quality of preformance must be acknowledged.

My AC unit stopped producing cold air at 11 pm during the FL summer. I called Gulfstream and they called me back promptly and said they could make it the next day. They called me first thing in the morning and followed up for best times. Andrew arrive on time and performed the work quickly and was very professional. Fantastic company and would highly recommend you call them should you have any AC issues. Great company and performed just as you would expect a quality service company to perform!! A++++
