I called today because the compressor wasn't working. I spoke with Jason who was very nice. He referred me to the service call coupon on Angie's List and squeezed me into their schedule today. Victor was the technician who came to my home. He was very nice. He showed me the broken part and a second part that was on it's way out. He explained how they worked to me. He proceeded to replace the parts. I would definitely recommend Gulfstream Cooling!

Excellent, they were very professional, installed everything on time and well. They let me know what they were doing each step of the way.

The technician came in time and he spend more than 2 hours cleaning and checking my A/C system that is on my house roof. He was very professional and polite. I will use this company again.

On a very hot FL day, Jason & his team responded quickly (that day) to a problem at my mother's residence. They were flexible w/ my mother's schedule and arrived at the scheduled time. The serviceman assessed the situation and informed me accordingly (I was out of state) of the needed work and its cost. The fee was reasonable and the work approved. The task was quickly accomplished and the AC is cooling the house. Gulfstream was courteous and communicative during the whole process.

Day one, technician arrived on time and was courteous. He analyzed the problem with the intermittent air handler motor. Quoted me a price and told me they would have the part tomorrow. Day two. Another tech arrived on time and was courteous. He had no problem with me asking questions and was very informative. I was charged what I had been quoted. I was not pressured to buy anything more than what was needed to fix the problem. I would recommend Gulfstream Cooling to anybody.

Great company. They were on time. Victor was professional and knew his business. He took care of everything quickly and spent time going over the condition and functionality of all components on all three units.

Gulfstream's visit to "Inspect, Clean & Tune Up" my home AC on July 30, 2014, seemed to be the most cursory such service I've ever received. Though I wasn't standing over the technician's ("Victor") back the entire time, I was doing close-by garden work and I was in visual range 90% of his time here. It's possible that he didn't do 50% of the items on the work-order check list: He never entered the house, so he couldn't have checked or calibrated my thermostat; he never checked my air filters; I never saw him approach the house with the standard 3 meter pressure test system (has this tool lately been replaced by something that can fit in ones pocket now?); Though he spent 90% of his time around the air handler unit up in my attic, he didn't bring any tools or supplies up with him other than what was on his belt... when I queried why he didn't use a water hose to clean the unit (or flush the primary condensation line I was having a problem with) he replied that his own work style is not to get anything wet, so he doesn't use the hose or any water or liquids (or rags) to clean anything; When I queried whether he lubricated any moving parts in my system (I didn't see him doing this), he admitted that he didn't - but because he asserted that there aren't any moving parts in my system to lubricate; I queried whether he "applied a protective coating" and he replied that this didn't apply to my system, that there wasn't anything to apply this coating to; I never saw him open up the condenser housing outside of the garage (this requires taking the bulky top off to remove any of the side panels)... he asserted that he was able to remove the non-visible panel in the rear of the unit (where I couldn't see this) and inspect and clean the condenser (every other tech removes the top to open the side panels... then uses a vacuum and/or hose to clean out the inside of the box)... Victor said the inside of the box was clean (it was last cleaned 1+ years ago) and didn't require him to clean anything. I've had several different companies and techs come to the house and perform such periodic maintenance over the years, and compared to these other services... it really looked like Victor only did two things while here... he put a vacuum on the outside primary condensation drain pipe, and he poured half a gallon of blue liquid into the drain pipe from just outside of the air handler. He spent a lot of time in the attic around the air handler (almost all of his time here) but it's not clear what he was doing. 24 hours after his visit, the water level in my secondary drain pan is still very high (though outside the drip has slowed compared to the way it was), and I'm now getting a small drip from the primary drain outlet (where there was none before). Though this is an improvement, its really a much smaller improvement than it should be. I don't really trust that Victor earnestly did a significant portion of the work actions described on the coupon/work order. I feel the need to call in another company to do the necessary maintenance work that wasn't done here... I can't give Gulfstream Cooling Inc a good review. Bill B.

Person came on time, seemed to know what he was doing, let me follow him around and explained things to me. Very nice! Only fly in the ointment was that I had informed the provider that we have 2 dogs and asked if that is an issue. He replied via email that that was not an issue, but then, when the man came it was. I.e. he asked me to put them away, which is what I did, I put them into one bedroom. But if I had known, I would have given them to a neighbor. Because when the man had left I found some dog poop on the carpet. Something that generally does not happen.

The technician was prompt, neat and advised me what might be coming up in the future but did not try to upsell in any way. I woke up this morning to an a/c that was not working and the panel was out. I called and Jason (the owner) asked if it needed batteries but I thought it was hardwired. He advised me that Sunday call was extra but I still wanted service today as I work. When the technician (Victor) got here, he advised that the batteries were out, replaced them and did not charge me anything. Companies like this will have a customer for life with me.

From the initial contact to the final call, everything went great. I called for an appointment, left a message and got a return call that day. An appointment was set and he arrived on time. I explained the issue, and through process of elimination the issue was fixed. The owner took the time to find out that the manufacturer of my a/c unit had been having problems with a part, which was under warranty and replaced. Would use them again and would have no problem referring to a friend.

They couldn't do the work until next week, so I am canceling the deal. He was very honest, professional, and pleasant when I spoke with him.

I heard grinding noises coming from the AC unti outside. Not knowing who to call, I remembered seeing an ad for Angies List, so I joined up and started researching for AC companies nearby. I came across Gulfstream Cooling and started to read through the many reviews. They were at the top of the list too. I called at close to 7 pm and was surprised when the owner called me back within 20 minute, well past my expectation of closing time. I explaining in detail what I was hearing, Jason told me what it could be and instructed me take advantage of the coupon on Angies List to discount the service call and would schedule me for the next day, a Friday so I wouldn't have to go the weekend waiting. Friday morning the fan motor blew and stopped working completely. The house rose to 88 degrees. Victor called me 30 minutes before his 3-5 pm window time and said he would be there soon. I was sitting in my car with the AC going that's how bad it was in the house!! Victor arrived before I knew it and was extremely professional and pleasant. He listened to what I described and then immediately began a diagnostic of the entire unit. When he confirmed the motor was dead, he was happy to show it to me and explain that the oil leaked out and the bearings were grinding against the metal. I felt completely at ease with victor and he told me he would replace the motor and have the system working quickly. He explained a few things that I should watch for on a 10 year old unit but did not try to up sell me at all. Within an hour and a half he had replaced the motor and the system came on and was working fine. I was so impressed!! I will continue to work with Gulfstream Cooling for my routine maintenance needs. I was quite impressed with the immediate response, the care I received, the professionalism and curtesy shown to me and of course the rates and repair cost were far more reasonable than I expected. Great job and my sincerest thanks to Jason, the owner, and Victor, my technician for their assistance.

The tech did a thorough job, and explained what I needed to do to maintain the system. I recently moved to this house, so it was very helpful. He showed me where there was rust and said that it was running well now, but he just wanted me to be aware that the unit was 10 years old.

Perfect. I called and left a message. Within 3 hours of that call they returned my call, sent a tech and completed the job.

I made my appointment through Angie's list....no problem. This company promptly responded and set my appointment date. Just as they said, the technician called just about a half hour before he arrived. Andrew was very professional and went about doing his job in a very efficient and thorough manner. I plan to use this company again, and would strongly recommend them.

We usually use Angies List when we need service or repairs . When our AC stopped working we looked at different companies on the list. Based on the reviews and customer comments, we called Gulfstream Cooling Inc. Victor came out to work on our system. He was competent , courteous and friendly. He didn't mind that I looked over his shoulder and asked questions. He serviced the inside unit and replaced a part on our outside unit that had stopped working. He made sure that everything was working properly and that the unit was cooling the way it should. From speaking to others I found out that many other companies pay their technicians a commission to try to sell you a new unit whether you need it or not. Since our unit is over ten years old I asked Victor if I should replace it. He told me that the the unit was showing signs of wear but that he didn't think that the unit needed to be replaced at this time. I am going to get a service contract with Gulfstream Cooling and feel confident that if I am told in the future that the unit needs to be replaced it really does. If you need service on your AC and want an honest company who will do great work and treat you fairly call Gulfstream cooling.

The technician arrived on time, was very friendly and professional, and fixed my unit within the hour. He explained the future maintenance we might need for the unit, and provided all his contact information in case I had any questions. A+ service for friendliness, easiness, and overall quality.

I only scheduled with Gulfstream because on the website the hours of operation are 7 am to 7 pm and Saturdays. After I bought the service, I was contacted by Gulfstream that hours of operation for A/C tune up is from 8-4. Unfortunately, I have to work too and it does not fit in my schedule. They were going to try their best and make it work, but I will just try to find a company that truly does work after hours and Saturdays.

My a/c was not working and gulf stream showed up fast and fixed and serviced my a/c. Angie's list members had a promotion for cleaning and service for 69.00. The coolant used was extra. I would call them again. Very professional.

Had called Gulf Stream A/C early last Tuesday morning 07-22 for an emergency repair visit. Our A/C had been out all night. Gulf Stream responded quickly and professionally on the phone. I purchased a service call coupon for 29.00 to save a little money initially at Gulf Stream's suggestion. Unbeknownst to me my wife had called another service provider and they were responding within 30 minutes. Gulf Stream was not able to get to us before between 11am - 1pm which was OK with me but apparently my wife and I got our signals crossed. I called Jason Tota the owner of Gulf Stream back and explained the situation so he cancelled the service visit and indicated I could contact you guys to secure a refund on the "Big Deal" purchase. Jason was polite, engaging and professional. Although I did not have work performed by this service provider, I was left with a favorable impression I guess befitting their excellent rating on your list. Thank you. Kevin Barbano

Arrived as promised. Began work quickly and was extremely thorough and complete. Made a couple of recommendations to improve AC performance and prevent possible outage. It started raining during his inspection of outside components, but he completed his work without delay. "He wasn't going to melt" as he put it. A rated customer service; A rated customer interaction as professional as well as personable. AA rated overall. I see why Gulfstream Cooling Inc is a top rated company on Angie's List!

They got back to me right away and were very professional. However, I decided to go with a different company.

The service visit went well. They came on time and serviced my AC unit and didn't try to sell me a thing. He also told me how to clean my unit.
