I scheduled the appointment for about 10 days out, but then one of my drain lines clogged the next day. Couldn't clear it myself so I called them up and they worked me into their schedule for the very next day. The technician was very polite and professional. Took care of both units and the price was very reasonable. Definitely recommend!

For how it went I went to long above read above for details on the excellent service that I receive. They went above and beyond the call of duty to say the least they are people of great integrity honesty and very friendly I truly believe they care about their customers as people and friends and not just business. They came the next day I called them the night before they got the part the next morning and I was up and running as quickly as possible I asked them if they would recommend a new unit they said no this one should have more life and so they're helping me to get as much as I can out of it there is a point where one must upgrade but they are very aware of this and I believe try to help do the right thing I do not believe they are just about money at all like I said that customers are more like friends and people and not just revenue I could go on and on but I guess that's enough to suffice their awesome I have no desire to use anyone else they put in the fan motor they did some more work with the drain system that should have cost me more but did not. One thing I am truly impressed with most is their employees each and every one of them are so polite and seem to be very honest and caring friendly the way you want to be treated especially when you're in crisis and are uncomfortable and having to spend money there just a great company. I have been with them for almost 2 years now and have spent well under $1000 and have an aging system that is still cooling super good I think I said that but I wanted to reenter rate they try to do what's best and not just you have a new unit down your throat

Awesome! Completely honest and straightforward! Our A/C unit is almost 10 years old (and not by the best Manufacturer), and they could've charged us for several things that are expected to go wrong with a unit of that age, and they were completed honest about the condition and what was needed (Nothing!!!). They arrived promptly, professional appearance, took their time and were thorough, and above all FRIENDLY! Getting ready to schedule our annual check-up with them again!

On time and very professional. Did the work and ensured all tasks were completed. Area clean up was done after the work as well.

Neighbor watching our home (we are 1500 miles away for the season) notified us that our A/C unit was not working. Gulfstream worked with our neighbor to evaluate and then make the repair and made arrangements with manufacturer to do it under warranty. We have used Gulfstream many times in the past and once again they provided outstanding service. Jason is a pleasure to work with.

Everything went very well! Technician was punctual, office confirmed tech on the way. We had a home phone problem, so we alerted the office, and they handled switching to cell easily & professionally. Service appeared to be complete in every way. Tech answered -all- of my questions completely, even many that had nothing to do directly with what he was doing (e.g. how it works, why have a contract, history of their company, his own background, etc.) Very forthcoming. Absolutely -NO- sales pressure for added services or parts. End result is that I asked HIM for a maintenance contract, and the fee paid through Angie's List was subtracted from the annual fee, which seemed to me to be very reasonable, given what it covers. ( The contract's most important feature, IMHO, is that it guarantees availability over non-contract customers. This could be especially important should a severe storm strike our area.) This company was also recommended by my former employer and the head of our HOA.

The AC technician inspected our unit outside then came inside and determined nothing was wrong with the unit and that the problem was the thermostat. I went ahead and purchased a brand new thermostat and installed it. Sure enough, same issue with our unit, shutting down. Now the issue was even worse, the unit shut down more often and for longer periods of time, the inside temperature reaching 84. I removed the filter and there before my eyes was the issue - water filling up in the metal pan causing the shut off valve to shut the ac off. Why didn't this technician see something so simple? I manually emptied the water but it would fill up again. It was some kind of clog. I was able to get it working for the night. The next day, it shut off again. I was able to get a small snake and snaked the small pipe and apparently, it cleared the drain and the ac has worked great since then.

You can rely on this company to be professional and the deals on the services always comes in handy.

Tech Andrew informed me that the unit is leaking and is in need of replacement soon; therefore not a lot of work could be done. He could easily have charged a huge fee and "fixed" things that would have been a waste of time and money, but he didn't - that is evidence of the quality of this company. They were great to deal with.

They did find one problem with one of the units and fixed it immediately. The capacitor had a intermittent problem and sometimes the compressor would not start. I was glad they noticed it during the maintenance. The Tech was great. He new exactly what he was doing. I would recommend them to anyone!

The overflo pipe on air conditioner was clogged and water was about to backup. The man cleared the pipe and service the air conditioner and it is working perfectly.

They were absolutely great. The tech showed up as scheduled and even came back when I missed his call that he was here. He was very professional and gave me all the details needed for how to keep our system up and running and it's over all condition. He did suggest doing the service at least once a year which I agree with. I will absolutely be using them in the future for all our A/C needs. Very highly recommended.

Work was done as agreed and signed a service contract

lThe air conditioning unit was thoroughly checked because it was not cooling properly. Found out a part had to be replaced: it was rusted. They took the time to check and found out that the part was still under warrantee and it kept the cost to a minimum. Since the unit was only 5 years old. Once the part came in, an appointment was set up right away to have it installed. On that same day, it still did not seem like it was cold enough and they sent someone back that very same day. And to this day the unit is working great. Definitely would use Gulf stream Cooling, Inc., again! The servicemen were very professional. From the gentleman I spoke to on the phone, to the service men who worked on my air condition.

We selected Gulfstream because of reviews from Angie's list. We had 3 units serviced, at two different addresses. Steve called ahead to let us know when he would be arriving within our scheduled window. He arrived on time and politely introduced himself. He quickly got to work on our AC unit which was freezing up on us. We had already cleared the condensation line and cleaned the coils, but were still having problems. I had researched potential issues given what was going on with our unit and I asked Steve numerous questions, all of which he answered thoroughly. I learned a ton of information about our system and how it works, as well as info on AC units in general and warranties. We watched Steve perform his diagnostic at which time it became evident that the unit was leaking freon. The unit was rusted and had a small leak. It was our decision to replace the damaged part. Steve ordered the part and replaced it as scheduled the next week. Our system is up and running like new. Our other two systems were serviced and are fine. We will be using Gulf Stream whenever we need AC service in the future.

I found the company on Angie's list. I have used this company for 3 years since I purchased my home. I have never found better service. When my AC stopped in April, the owner called on his cell concerned while having dinner with his family! Jason and his employees are top notch!

First visit (August 2014): Gulfstream technician came to do tune-up, stopped water leak. Second visit (April 2015): water leak recurred, same thing. Paid Gulfstream again to fix it. (Same technician as before.) Third visit (July 2015): water leak recurred. Gulfstream sent a different technician. This one diagnosed that the problem was that the unit was out of alignment, one of its mounts had come loose, and since it was at a slight angle, the water was not going down the drain like it was supposed to. This technician did not come to do a repair, just a diagnosis. Note that the person who did the tune-up never made this diagnosis. By this time I had water damage on the ceiling around the air conditioning unit. This was not there before this all started. Fourth visit (July 2015): Gulfstream sent another technician, one of their installers. He removed the entire unit and mounted it correctly. He also told me that he had found significant air leaks, which he repaired. (This should have been taken care of at the tune-up.) The bill for this was $140 for which I was credited $65 for the second service call. I spoke to one of the owners and he agreed to write it off. Fifth visit (July 2015). Two weeks later, it was leaking again, just as much as before. The technician who came on the third visit came back. He took care of the problem. He said that the problem was that there was blockage in the drain line, that this was not their responsibility, and his fix was not permanent, that the problem would probably recur, and a plumber would be necessary to clean out the drain line. There was no charge for this visit. If I had known this earlier (this was the first mention of a plumber being needed) I could have avoided a lot of aggravation and damage to the paint on the ceiling. Problem recurred August 2015, as predicted. Addendum 9/24/2016: I have lowered the overall grade from D to F. The reason is that Gulfstream never diagnosed my problem correctly. When the problem recurred in August, after having had the maintenance people of my building unnecessarily and unsuccessfully trying to find a blockage in the drain pipes, I called another company (CGI; see my review) and they diagnosed my problem as not that the drain line was clogged but that due to something having shifted, the drain line was not at the right pitch, that is, the water was supposed to run uphill, and since it wouldn't do that, it would fill up the pan in the unit and then start draining onto the floor. Adding a small support (plastic) so the pipe was correctly positioned solved the problem. It did take them a while and some internal consultations to find it (3 visits from them), but they only charged me 1 1/2 hrs. labor for all three visits. They also told me that in this climate, the air conditioner needs preventive maintenance every six months. I am buying a service contract from them. I wish that in all the visits from Gulfstream someone would have told me this; I didn't know.

I contacted them on Saturday and they made contact first thing Monday morning, and came out Monday afternoon. Courtesy called, and arrived when quoted. Work was performed in under an hour, tech was great, he took all the buckets and towels outside for me, even squeezed out towels and laid them out to dry.
