The owner/installer was punctual, courteous, clean and professional. Jason Tota, the manager, owner and brother of the installer, went out of his way to find a new compressor that was compatible with my ceiling pancake handler that is in excellent condition. All other A/C companies I asked said the handler, which is much newer and in great condition, had to be replaced with the older compressor which was on its last legs. Gulfstream Cooling not only did a great job, they went out of their way to save me more than $1000.00.

I don?t like to ?eat crow, not at all but must try to rescind what I previously wrote about Gulfstream Cooling?it has been another month since Miklos Air, Inc. came out and said they could find ?no leaks? in our ac coils, contrary to what Gulfstream Cooling stated. Well, guess what? Our ac stopped working and now, all of a sudden, Miklos Air, wants to ?check for leaks" which we thought they did previously?! I am calling Gulfstream Cooling back in hopes they will do the work to replace our coils and hope they take us back! I will preface this by saying our air conditioner is only 2 yrs. old so we were surprised when it stopped working. Gulfstream was very prompt and arrived as scheduled. He was to check out everything to determine why it stopped working. He stated he found a wiring issue which he repaired and that everything else looked good. Shortly thereafter our air conditioner stopped working again and we called Gulfstream back out. When technician returned from inspection, he stated he had to put a lot of Freon in our unit and that our ?coils had developed many holes? where the Freon was leaking out and our coils needed to be replaced (under warranty) which surprised us as previously stated, conditioner is only 2 yrs. old. We called another air conditioning company to inspect (for second opinion) and they stated no ?holes in the coils? could be found. Spoke with owner of Gulfstream and he stated in order to refund our money he would have to inspect our a/c unit. We declined, as we felt if there were holes in the coils, our unit would stop working again and after a month ? it has not.

Best service and very prompt. Always happy with Gulfstream.

The technician was great and the ac is really cold. I think I had one of the best nights sleep ever. The time was between 10-12 he arrived early around 9:30

The technician informed me of everything he was doing, and was very thorough. Was very straightforward and honest in what to expect from my 11-year old units. I called the company again to give me estimates on replacing the two systems. There was no high-pressure sales talk, which was quite refreshing.

Great techs, Jordan and Andrew. Phone support, not so good. However, will definitely use them in the future. Very thorough with much more detailed explanations of everything, answered many questions, much more so than better known local competitors.

Originally, we called Gulfstream at 10pm on a Tuesday night as our A/C kept kicking on and off. When we spoke to them they gave us some tips on how to troubleshoot the issue which fixed the issue. We called them back to do a once over on the AC as we had ignored it since we moved in to the place in January. The tech came out and noticed that the unit was not draining properly and sucked out a ton of water from where it was draining into the air intake cavity. After, he put everything back together and I was completely satisfied with the service

Second time I used Gulfstream for a/c tune-up. Tech was Steven and he was very through. No surprises.

Steven was our technician and he was professional, knowledgeable and capable. He described everything he was doing and explained how things worked. Very courteous and he is what makes Gulfstream Cooling the great company it is. I would highly recommend GC and Steven. Honest and prompt. He also serviced my pool heater and got it working again. A previous company told me I needed a new A/C unit because my condenser or compressor was shot, which was not the case at all -- he hooked up the wiring wrong! How scary is that. He also told me that the pool heater's electrical panel was faulty and could not be repaired. Not the case at all. I'm happy I called Gulfstream Cooling and won't call another company but them!

First of all, the company responded in a timely manner. The technician they sent was knowledgeable and professional. I have an AC background and had already removed the panels and determined it was probably one of two things. Either the condenser fan motor or it's start capacitor. The motor is well over 10 years old so that's how I was leaning. All the wiring looked good with no burnt terminals. The tech spent 1-2 minutes confirming what I had told him, which was the proper thing to do especially since I'm an old man and we all know old men are feeble minded, right? Anyway, the tech went to his truck and came back with a capacitor, moved the wires from the old one to the new one and snapped it into it's holder . I went inside, turned the breaker back on, flipped the thermostat to "Cool" and heard the fan start. When I went back out the tech had hooked up his gauges and was checking the pressures. He then buttoned it up and took his tools to his truck. The tech then gave me a bill for $132, which I paid. Maybe I am feeble-minded since I just wrote a check and didn't question the bill. Mind you, I had already paid Angie's List $29. A day or so later I was in Home Depot and decided to check just how much that capacitor sells for at retail. I remembered the voltage and mfd rating so it was easy to find. As it turned out, I paid $161 for an under $10 part to be installed. Actually, if I could buy it for $10 I'm sure the wholesale cost is half, at best. I totally get it that they are in business to make money and I can't really fault them for that but it seems $161 for a part that costs under $10 and, at best, 30 minutes of labor is a bit higher than it should be. Now, I don't know what their labor rate is or if they have a minimum charge or not so I don't know if those had anything to do with it. The bill I got wasn't broken down as far as parts and labor goes. Bottom line. I had cold air coming out of the registers and was very happy with the tech they sent. I just wasn't happy about the price. One thing.......it's probably a good idea, for the consumer, that the bill be itemized. For the company, I'm sure they like it the way it is. I apologize to everybody who care about the delay of this review. I'm blaming it on my feeble mind.

Provider was professional, arrived on time, answered my questions patiently and accurately, and left me with a home that is now wonderfully cool. Best service experience I have had in my 3 winters in Florida.

Called Gulfstream because I had water leaking from the air handler in my garage. I noticed that Gulfstream had over 600 reviews on Angie's List and had an a-rating. They were the only ones with that many reviews and that high of a rating. I purchased the Angie's list special of a $29 service call and was told by Keisha that the tech would be out between 11-1pm. Around 9:45a Keisha called and said a tech was available and he'd be right over. When Andrew arrived he was pleasant, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Andrew cleared the clogged drain line causing the water leakage and explained about changing the air filter and recommended a certain type of filter. He was very specific about what to do with the filter in the future and was knowledgeable about every other aspect of my a/c unit and the inner workings. He explained about the service contract, after I inquired, and since I have an older unit I think it's a great idea and will be purchasing the contract in the near future. Great company with excellent customer service. Highly recommend and will use again.

OUTSTANDING!! I couldn't be happier! This was a much more thorough checkup than I ever experienced up North, and the technician, Andrew, was sharp and knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I converted an Angie's List "one-time" special to an annual maintenance contract on the spot! I wouldn't think of using anyone else!
