Fantastic! I messaged Gulfstream through Angie's and wrote that time is of the essence since, based on my experience, so many other companies offering Angie's Deals make those customers wait and wait for service that isn't urgent. The company rep. replied in writing within hours! She was professional, agreeable, cooperative and promptly scheduled my routine maintenance. Gulfstream shows that they want your business and will come out and earn future business. STEVEN J. (or Jr.) arrived on time, was professional, respectful, and performed his work without rushing. He was meticulous and showed great pride in his work. Steven completed everything on the list of work described and went above and beyond any other HVAC company I've had do routine cleaning. He, as opposed to so many other company male technicians, talked to me like I am an adult with a brain. I've owned properties with AC for 35 years, and, he didn't assume otherwise; he respected that I just may have bought this service from others in the past for many years. I certainly have. Hey, I've owned houses since he was in elementary school. That's important to me, respectful communication. As opposed to previous service providers, Steven actually SHOWED ME and demonstrated the design problems with my relatively new air handler and attic, things no one in 8 years of owning this property has noted and informed. No work is urgent as Steven assured me and he gave me no "hard sell." Key! Because of this, I WILL CONTACT GULFSTREAM WITHIN A YEAR to address my builder's poor design. I highly recommend Gulfstream and Steven.

I obtained price quotes from four contractors. Steve Tota from Gulfstream performed the most thorough evaluation to calculate the required cooling capacity that would be best fit considering the size, age of my house. When you read online, it is not good to have a system too large - two of the contractors tried to sell me a system that was over-sized as they did not perform any services to determine the appropriate size. One contractor took several days to get me a quote, then all I received was a dollar amount, no indication of brand or even SEER rating. On the other hand, the quote from Steve arrived later the same day and included model numbers, the details of all the services to be performed, the manufactures literature, and a recent consumers report article with ratings for various AC brands. Gulfstream provided a quote for two different brands so I had options for my budget. They were by far the most professional and complete and I chose them to replace my old AC. I could not be happier with my decision. They arrived timely, were incredibly neat and clean. The closet with the air handler was in horrible condition since my old unit was from 1994. He did an amazing job of cleaning up that area and now it is a pleasure to open the door and look inside. The unit, which is a Bryant, is soooo quiet and keeps my house in perfect cooling and humidity range. The outside unit is quiet as well. I am so pleased that I am hoping they can come to my other house further north in Florida and replace my unit there. They are honest, reliable, neat, professional and provide top-notch service at a reasonable price.

Called for AC inspection and tune-up. They were able to schedule for the same day. Anibal, the technician, arrived on time and completed the job perfectly. My old AC unit is running great. Was able to use the Angie's List coupon. Service was excellent all around. Will definitely call for my future AC needs.

When the tech brought out the part to fix the ac unit, it was a wrong part. If he had checked the part before leaving the supply shop for us, he would have noticed it was incorrect. Because it was approaching 5pm, he said he would need to come back tomorrow, but it may be another tech. Since the ac unit was taken apart and left on our floor, and a new tech may have to be assigned, we called the office shortly before 5pm to voice our concern over this, and ended up arguing with the office girl, rather than being transferred to the owner. When the owner got the message of our dilema, he contacted us immediately, and sent another tech out first thing the next day with the correct part, and it was fixed. If you need additional service with this company, ask to speak with the owner, not the office staff. We were happy the ac was fixed quickly.

They were very good! They explained very thoroughly what and how they were going to do. They gave us recommendations.

Each owner and employee was professional in everything they said and did.

We always use Gulfstream for our AC service. They are totally honest and competent. We had another company tell us that we needed a new AC right away. We called Gulfstream after we found them on Angies list ,to get a second opinion. We were told that we just needed a routine service. That was 31/2 years ago and our AC is still working fine. We get routine service twice a year from Gulfstream and I know that if the Gulfstream tech ever says that we need a new system it will be the truth.

Had recently tried to repair existing system but it became obvious it was time to replace. Options were clearly presented to me. Installation went on time and without a hitch. They even suggested installing an extra drain pan which they did and at their cost. New system is outstanding and especially quiet. Have been doing business with these folks now for a couple of years not only at our apartment but also at our children's home nearby. I recommend them to any who ask without reservation.

Booked appt over phone and purchased $29 appt via Angie's List to cover the service call. Calls always answered promptly. Andrew arrived within the provided window and went straight to work. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a defective thermostat. To my surprise, he and his supervisor went the extra mile and were able to have it replaced under warranty. In fact, his supervisor ran to the supply house so the job could be done that day. Andrew also pointed out another issue with how our thermostats were installed and took care of that issue as well. Finally, upon his final inspection to confirm all was working properly he discovered yet another BIG issue. Our home has two AC units of different size and the same with our air handlers. Somehow, the builder (KHOV) connected the larger condenser outside to the smaller air handler and vice versa. As mush as I would have like Gulfstream to fix this I had to go through KHOV and they sent out their contractor to right the wrong. In the end, all was fixed and once it warms up outside I suspect the system will work even better. On top of the excellent work, Andrew was awesome to work with. Very professional and polite. Explained everything in detail. Never pushy. Just kept it real and stuck to the task at hand. Gulf stream did an excellent job and I would strongly recommend them to anyone with an AC issue.

The repair personal was very professional. Cleaned and tuned up the A/C system and answered any questions I had. Explained what was dirty, preventative maintenance, and advised me on how often professional maintenance should be completed.

They were fantastic! I purchased a tune-up coupon at 10 pm when my air conditioner all of a sudden stopped working. They showed up the very next morning. They immediately found the issue and fixed it on the spot ( a hole developed I'm so,e of the tubes). I'm definitely going to be hiring them again -- I'll have them come give the unit a tune up just before the summer heats up.

Everything went so well!! .So well that I don't know where to start. From A to Z.Even before I ask for this or that was already DONE. The maintenance list included 18 items and Andrew did and checked every one of them plus couple litlle xtra that I've request,with NO XTRA CHARGE (as they usually do and try to sell you more). I'm not really used to this honesty and trusty experience from technicians. So YES! Job well done and definitely worth every penny.Thank you Andrew You and your company for the peace of mind,knowing that my A/C is dependable till next due maintenance.I'm very pleased .GOD BLESSED YOU!.

We are so pleased with the quality and professionalism of this company. Suffice it to say, they diagnosed and repaired our ac units problem when other company?s couldn?t!

They came very soon. I told the technician AC was generating cool air but fan did not run. The technician then diagnosed the problem very quickly and told me fan control board was out of order. My AC is still under warranty, so they can get a free board for free from manufacture, but they charged $180.00 to install the board. I thought when installing the new board, some tune-up should be done, therefore I agreed. Here the tune-up means the fan is tuned to run at right speed. I was not at home when the technician installed the board, my wife called me and said no tune-up was done, should pay extra for tune-up. $180 just for the labor to install the board is too expensive because it is a no more than 30-minute job. Right now I apparently feel the AC fan is running at much lower speed than before. I agree $29 is too cheap for a service call, but adding $29 and $180 together then not cheap at all. I think this is the game they are playing. If they can check and make sure the fan is running at the right speed not only just running, then it's most likely reasonable.

The tech flushed the coils and then went used a Shop-Vac to blow out the algae obstruction in the drainage pipe leading to the outside. He then put a "pill" on the drainage tray below the cooling coils to try to delay the buildup of algae in the future.
